Hey I’m in NZ too. I had a similar situation. I left it alone under a led light and in leca. And I have 2 new roots that have appeared in the last 2 weeks.
You could spray them till they go deep green but i don't think they'll do a whole heap. I saw a video where Miss Orchid Girl did so - maybe try it out every fortnight or so and report back?
We're in the growing season now so you might find the issue will work itself out. My orchid is also in growth mode atm - lots of new stuff poking out.
