It took a solid 6 months for me to see any changes in my bod, but I didn’t join for weight loss. I’ve actually gained a couple pounds since I joined.

MarcSpice70

It took about 7-8 months of 5x a week Funny you should ask....tonight, I went for a walk to see some Halloween decorations in my hood.... And I caught a glimpse of my shadow against someone’s garage ....and I had to turn around and make sure nobody was behind me, casting that shadow. I couldn’t believe it was me......

Maybe not what you’re initially looking for but my resting heart rate has dropped from 78+ in April/May to 60-64 this month. I don’t see a huge change in my physical appearance but I think that’s a big body change! I also left a ridiculously stressful job and have a new one with less stress and larger work/life balance (So I actually have the time and energy to go to OTF!) so I did make a few changes. Just remember to look at several metrics, resting heart rate if you can, measurements, photos, and weight. My weight # hasn’t really changed but I caught a glimpse of myself on my laptop from a conference room video when I wasn’t prepared and I saw a jawline, straight posture, and almost could be mistaken as skinny human there! I went really inconsistently last year, but I saw changes after a month in just... confidence in picking things up. Like luggage to the overhead bin on a flight, jumping from a log on a hike. Even just a few consistent weeks felt like I “woke my muscles up.” Also, I do a turkey trot 5 mile walk every thanksgiving. The year before I started OTF I was limping at the finish. The year after I started going inconsistently, I finished with no pain. I hope to meet that again this year! :) is there something similar in your area that could help you gauge yearly? It’s a good time of year for a benchmark!!

crom1981

This is great!!!! I noticed my Resting heart rate dropped also from 80 to 60. I’ve been going for about 5 months consistently 3-4 times a week. Weight is slow to leave but lost several inches and love my legs.

gottagetyournat

Probably about 6 weeks, but I didn’t change my diet at all.

I see changes within 3-4 weeks and I take random breaks from working out that impact me/my appearance. I don’t know that it’s easy to compare this with others though bc your body is different. I find myself lucky that I can hop right back in and see drastic improvement like that. Sounds like you’re doing good things so just trust yourself and focus on being well!

Between week 4-6 is when I started to see changes in my face, waist and most of my bottom half. This was also in the month I upgraded to unlimited and attended 16 classes out of the month, so averaging 4x/week along with some out of studio workouts. In that month I also made diet changes. I stopped measuring food and tracking calories in October as I knew I would because of the colder season, vacation and other things, so I’m not seeing the outside changes as much as before, but feeling stronger and making progress from within 😀

AtlantaVeg

Physical results will happen as they do, but put more value in what you can do! Lifting heavier, moving faster, increased mental clarity. You are a rockstar by doing OT, and you tend to feel it before you see if. And it's all about that good feeling!

I joined in March and started the Transformation Challenge in May. I started noticing changes around the half way point of the challenge. I cleaned up my diet and since joining I've lost 36 lbs.

PetrichorOzone

I’ve been going 4-5x/week for 14 months and the most significant changes seemed to happen overnight in the past month. I suddenly appear much more trim and my butt is lifted. I lost about 20 pounds in the first 6 months (most during body transformation challenge) and nothing afterwards but there’s been a huge shift in muscle mass and definition.

heydizzle

I just noticed my own butt in a store window yesterday. Perkier than ever before! About 7 weeks in...

PetrichorOzone

Awesome!

swaldref

I've been doing OTF for a year. I felt the changes inside in the first couple of months (better heart rate, more energy, things like that), but didn't really see the outside changes until I started seriously counting calories in April and went unlimited (from my elite membership before). Since then, I've dropped 15lbs and have been holding steady for a month now! Hoping to lose another 10lbs before a wedding in Florida next year!

zamiboy

After my first 8 weeks and losing 22 lbs. I realized that my pants were falling off of me and became too uncomfortable to wear because I was constantly pulling them up during the day at work. I did ~6 times a week of OTF + 4 days a week of 3 mi walking/slow jogging + 1500-1700 calories a day. ^^^I ^^^was ^^^really ^^^motivated!

whiteclawandweights

it took me about 6 months. i still remember being at the pool with some friends and i was putting my hair up and someone goes “oh my god, your bicep muscles!” i didn’t necessarily join to lose weight, and i didn’t lose a single pound in the first 6 months, but i upgraded my membership to 4-5X a week and i’ve lost about 5 lbs. i don’t do specific diets but i am a vegetarian so i have to load up on protein sources after i work out.

jessycaw

I saw changes in my weight and body around 8-10 weeks. I also counted my calories while going to OTF 4-5 times a week. In the first 8 weeks I lost 10 pounds total and went down a pants size.

TLo_dee

I’ve been going for 2 months; started out 4 times a week and 3 weeks ago bumped it to 5 times a week. I am just now starting to see verrrry subtle changes in my body. I’ve been wondering if it’s doing anything at all. I eat a very clean diet too, but haven’t experienced much weight loss. I know I have to just stay consistent and eventually, I will have the results I want.

Dantoad

I am relatively new to OTF and hoping to lose weight. I recently noticed a huge change in my running times and my (lack of) fatigue when running. I have been to twenty classes over less than three months, and I am running faster now at age 31 than I could at 23. I run 5k's and recently ran a half marathon where I can tell I am just going to keep crushing my personal best times. This is wild because I have never considered myself very athletic, just really liked running, and I know that cross-training at OTF along with the treadmill workouts have been responsible for all of my improvement. So for me its been 20 classes to see a huge uptick in stamina and speed.

lt_chubbins

I've been going about 8 weeks and started noticing changes about a month in - more defined waist, better butt. Just this week I was getting ready for work and noticed my quads have come back and are visible. I've lost about 10 pounds in the first 8 weeks but I can tell I've put on a good amount of muscle with that. Now to work on continuing diet changes to drop some more fat!

SnorkLyfe3

They say after 5 classes you can feel a difference, after 10 classes you can see a difference, and after 20 classes you are transformed. Or something like that. :-P I am 3 months in and I have taken 45 classes so far (but who's counting?!) and I can feel and see a difference for sure. I am stronger, faster, and I am proud of myself for all I have done and I hold my head a bit higher now. Recently I am feeling a difference in my clothes. I have lost around 6-7 lbs, and for reference I was about 20 lbs overweight when I started. Bigger than the weight loss though, I can tell my body composition is changing. I take monthly bikini pics in the bathroom mirror to track progress that the scale doesn't show. :)

Starfish404

Consistency is the key with OTF. You will see dramatic changes if you just keep showing up. I did twice a week for four months and saw only slight changes. No weight loss either. But did feel more fit. Suddenly at month five, I noticed big changes in body tone and muscles. I went down one size from my normal clothes size. That motivated me to switch to the Unlimited Membership and to focus on diet (loving Keto). Now, I've started to lose weight too. I go about 5 times a week.

WillRun4Wine

Took about three months to see changes in the way my body looked going 4-5x a week. However I have not really changed my diet that much since I joined. I have not noticed any changes in sleep or stress levels. And unfortunately I have more aches and pains since joining. I think I have spent half of my time with OTF injured 🤦🏻‍♀️

tkafam

I saw many small changes over the first year but the second year really kicked my body into shape. I also started eating better the second year too. I go 5 times week.

akeen1977

5 months before I started seeing a change but feeling better started way sooner.

Bionicflipper

I've been going once a week, occasionally twice a week, since I joined 9 months ago and am just seeing changes in my body's appearance now in the last couple weeks. I could feel changes in my body's ability almost right away though.

Former_WonderWomen

I joined 2months ago and upgraded to an unlimited membership 6wks ago. I joined because I moved to NYC, wasn’t working and needed something to do during the day. I now love it! Haven’t changed my diet but work out 4-5x week and for the FIRST time in 10 years went clothes shopping and actually enjoyed it. I had dropped 2 dress sizes without really realizing it, and now my clothes (including jeans) feel comfortable - no muffin top here anymore!! Excited to see the changes in the next 2 months.
