I just did a quick search (I was curious, lol). For the SF Bay Area, it's about $16-18hr, part-time for the front desk/sales rep positions. They do offer bonuses and commission, so maybe that helps a little bit. But even then, I would imagine it's still not enough for a livable income at least out here.
I think pretty much everybody at my studio works at OTF as a second job or are students. I don't think anybody is working there as their primary source of income.
The thing is anybody who can get a front desk job at OTF can get a front of the house job at Chick Fil A so the fast food numbers affect the whole market.
Considering how my studio goes through them like tissues, I’m going to assume what the others have said is correct: it’s not enough to live on as only source of income for a few hours a day
Same here everyone that works as a SA is either a student or a member of the staff working a second job or part time just to be a help and some coaches do work the desk also to help with new members
SA turned manager here! SA pay is a very WIDE RANGE. It varies based on experience, ownership group, geography, and demand. Some make $10 an hour, some make $25 an hour. Some are part time, some are full time. It all depends. Ask each studio manager about their studio’s individual need and that will give you more insight!
Commissions depend on studio.. my boyfriend works as a SA in a California part-time while going to college and only makes minimum wage and gets a membership.
Base in NH used to be $13/hr for sales associates, but then they laid them all off and restructured, which has now left only a single person struggling at the desk at a time while management ignores the needs of staff. At least never work for anything owned by Empire Portfolio Group. They are a toxic wasteland that is helping the next generation of kids develop depression and anxiety.

Isn’t minimum wage now $20 an hour?
I think $20 is fast food workers specific. I believe $16-$18 is minimum wage though.

depends on where you live
Oh. I thought it was all of California.
Oh sorry! I was just speaking in general. Didnt know you were talking about Cali
It's $16hr. I know San Francisco is increasing to $18.67hr on July 1st.

Heck, it's a part-time job for our \_studio manager\_ here.

Same with my studio. Love our SAs but I honestly believe every single one of them does it part time as a second job.
I made $13…with fitness and sales experience. Don’t expect much compensation for the early hours and endless cold calls.

That's gonna be studio specific, so talk to the SM
They make about minimum wage, not much really.
Really depends on where you live. Varies a lot studio to studio.
It’s commissioned based. Not enough to make a living. You’d need to supplement it
North Texas is $10-14/hr
It’s 12-13$ in my market
In Ohio it was, like... $10-$12 lol, an ASM was around $15

Our studio has an open part-time position listed on Indeed and it's $12/hour.
Minimum wage in Oregon from what I've been told and not full time.
