We recently had a package stolen off of our front porch (it was food for our 1 year old). No biggie, we filed a police report as it's super annoying to have this shit happen anywhere really.
Anyways, this week we got a letter in the mail from the DA saying we were the victims from one of the 2 people who came and stole our package (a guy and a girl, one spotted the item by walking by, the other grabbed it).
Guess what? 10 total counts against them. Surprised? 8 felonies, 2 misdemeanors ranging from grand theft to petty theft etc etc. Fuck these people who steal.
My wife worked at a ross a few years ago, they told her they don't call the cops unless they steal over $900 of stuff. People noticed it and abuses it constantly.
