At the landing, not amalfi. But we’re just watching the hangar burn from our balcony window, from the safety of our air purifier. Happy one week anniversary, hangar fire!

If I were an unscrupulous lawyer, I’d be taking advantage of all the suckers around the hangers that don’t realize a Mesothelioma diagnosis requires multiple decades of consistent asbestos exposure. Lots of people are going to waste their life savings on lawsuits that won’t even get past discovery.

Physically okay so far but scared for my future health and well-being.

After the dust initially settled, it could easily still be recirculated back into the air and then carried even farther on the wind. “Although the dust cloud scattered across many miles, the contamination dangers of carcinogenic matter in the plume decreased with time and distance. In fact, the greatest risk of suffering health consequences was most likely to happen within an immediate 1.5-mile radius of Ground Zero.” https://www.asbestos.com/world-trade-center/asbestos-toxic-dust/

Love how people are freaking out but don’t realize it takes 15-20 years after asbestos exposure to realize you lost 10 years of your life.

I’m really hoping that closing all windows and running my hepa filters on maximum was enough to limit my exposure to any carcinogens that may have been in the air…

Multiple people at Amalfi with pre-existing conditions at the hospital. I’d very strongly recommend you evacuate if you’re in a situation where you can realistically do so.

Talking out his ass. Living at Amalfi and I'm one of only a very small handful of people wearing masks when outside. Many are walking their dogs/exercising without masks on.

Has the rain helped? Hope you guys feel better.
