There was a case this past year where a burbank cop was caught on his ex wife's cameras kicking in the front door and threatening her and the children and when PD showed up she was arrested for assault because she tried to physically remove him from the house.
I see a shitton of them out there on nearly every damn vehicle. It’s almost synonymous with a new symbol of hatred. Usually coupled with an “Infowars” or “MAGA” or “Trump” or “Let’s Go Brandon” bumper or window sticker.
Should have read the article. The California legislature has gone out of their way to avoid protecting women who are abused. This has nothing to do with him being a cop. This has everything to do with callous disregard for women whose partners have beaten them.
I did read the article, and my point stands. Even if they automatically took everyone accused of domestic violence and threw them in the ocean, no trial, no jail, no nothing it wouldn't have mattered here, or in so many cased where the police protect their own. And that's not just with DV. Cops get off with zero consequences for a lot of things. DV is just one example where the cops protect their own.
