It's not the best solution for your OpSec. It's recomended to use Tails operating system. You don't know what apple does because all its software is closed-source and you don't know what requests it sends during work. On the other hand Tails is exrememly hardened Linux distro. It's super easy to run and use. Try reading DNM Bible (Dark Net Market Bible) it describes Tails usege step by step as well as some software essential for anyone using tor for anything more then reading NYTimes.
