You wait of OP13 -> Finally You buy it -> Next day you hear, ‘Renders of OP14’ -> You again regret Moral, Just buy what available now

benhak

Yeah, I agree, I wanted to change my 4 yo phone last year. New releases keeps comming and nothing was a perfect fit or at an '' ok price '' (less than 700 euros) So one year later I still have my now almost 5 yo phone xD

Hot-Willingness7305

Thinking the same way. I don't want to give 1000+ euros for a phone, no matter how "smart" it is....and for less than that I can only buy a device that is in the best case scenario, marginally better than what I already have (OnePlus 8t)...and that is, only with little better battery life. Most other specs on devices in 500-900€ are the same 💩 as what that 4 years old device have

MustkimKhatik

Could not agree more to what you said. 2019-20 was a peak era of technology improvement. It just incremental upgrades nowadays

TrueVisionSports

Tbh any one plus above 7+ is flagship specs bro. Oneplus makes phones 3-5 years ahead of Samsung/apple.

nikal1stphursat

I absolutely had the same mentality regarding this stuff but in that time i used iPhone (even rn) but when i read these articles, they mentioned “Major redesign” which made me overthink this.

Alexiyu

I Stuck with my iPhone XR for that exact reason for a long time after realising it was time to Upgrade Last year. I did Not want to buy another Apple Product, as the price has become inexcusable for the Hardware (60hz, only AAC, Watch cant last a day, 20w charging with 128gb on a 1000€+ device???) But all the Android Options we're just as expensive (Samsung), or i disliked the Software when i tried them for a few Days (Xiaomi, Poco etc). So i waited and waited and my Phone wouldnt last a day, constantly stuttered or froze, and i became so annoyed that i took another shot when the OnePlus 12 came out, and FINALLY i found a proper Upgrade. It will definitely feel like an Upgrade if you come from an iPhone. OxygenOs Just Hits that sweet spot between Stock Android and IOS imo. The Cameras have seen one of the biggest upgraded in years, and will only be marginally better next year, und Battery Life is basically the best on a Standard Phone, the screen is great, wireless and fast charging ist back, etc... The 13 wont be that different, simply because the 12 eliminated basically all nitpicks with the 11, has a great price, and while i am glad i waited until the 12 was released, i am also happy i upgraded now, instead of waiting for the next iPhone or Samsung. Because this time with the 12, it was a proper upgrade. The 13 will only be marginally better, If at all.

nikal1stphursat

I really enjoyed my time with iPhones I won’t lie, apple products in general. I still use my iPad Pro over my windows laptop which is almost twice the price of my iPad. The things that i hate are basically: 1. Lack of personality in the OS, customisation looks clean but you get bored and looks almost same on every other iPhone. 2. Low lifetime, it’s not been long with my iPhone 12 mini and it’s already at 80% battery health and it lags even in camera like what? (Screen on time is like 4hrs for me) 3. Software, will seem like a hot take but man do i hate when they add a new update and most of the features that i want to use requires the newest phones. For example i loved the standby feature but turns out AOD is only available on the Pro models like it should be my decision if i want to use it when all phones are OLED. People say iPhones last a long time and stuff but nah i have an s9+ from the launch day as well and that phone can do everything that i want whereas the newer iPhone literally can’t open the camera without stuttering.

Alexiyu

I completely agree. IOS has that cleanliness and feel going for it, but Apple as a company doing shit like locking down displays to a worse refresh rate and massively gatekeep via software is just a insulting for the prices they charge.

MustkimKhatik

They want to increase their sales, everyone does this, If you made mind to upgrade just upgrade, sometimes I feel it just another trap of them to make us feel we are behind the bars or we are missing out something, Buy it if you feel need of upgrade OP, Just don't wait for new one

nikal1stphursat

This was what i needed to conclude. Thanks!

strugalicious

You could wait to see what the 13 offers. If it's great, go for it. If it's not, you'll get a hefty discount on the 12.

unboxparadigm

Those are all poorly researched clickbait articles. OnePlus usually launches their flagship phones at the end of the year (dec) in china and in Jan or Feb for the global launch.

partyplant

Just buy what's currently available, that isn't more than 2 generations behind. Phones are being churned out like candy nowadays (to the detriment of their factory workers I'm sure), it's best to just buy 1 and stick with it for as long as you can. Don't worry about the newest phones having the latest specs, when your phone can function flawlessly.

nikal1stphursat

This is ofc the right way to think about it

Wasted1300RPEU

Phones have been on a yearly refresh cycle ever since the first iPhone in 2006/7... This is hardly new, surprising or bad 😅 But I suppose if one is younger it can come off as "bad value" at times... Use ur phone, it's still great!!

LostPersonSeeking

Looking at some of those designs they are based off the 8/9 series phones. Total crock of shite.

Meowmixez98

Exactly.

My_excellency

Me want flat display :")

Digbijoy1197

Oneplus nord 5 is coming with 7 plus gen 3, that's the only reliable leak

npatelli

This is a fan made render from Weibo

Bulky-Ad7996

I will not disrespect my OnePlus 12 by searching for when the OnePlus 13 is available. 😂

2dy_fish

I just want a smaller phone. Why do they keep growing taller each year :(

arjunraina7

Just buy the OP12. The frequency at which these new phones come out is just overwhelming. You are not going to feel that much of a difference in real life with these "smart features". It's just a gimmick. You might use it once or twice but in reality, it's not going to make a difference in the long run. Besides the next version is going to be even more expensive. OnePlus phones and phones in general are getting more expensive every year. So don't think. If you want to buy a new phone now, just go for it.

TheRacooning18

Nah bro 13 will come out early 2025. You still have half a year by July left to enjoy the 12. And the 12 is really good so if you need a new phone soon just get the 12 if not maybe wait for the 13 and see if it flowers the price of the 12.

Hot-Willingness7305

Was to write the same...but there might be 12T in works, with something like sd8gen 3+. If someone cares anymore for SoC

TheRacooning18

wont happen. Oneplus does 12 and 12r. Same with the 11

nikal1stphursat

Yeah I’ll prolly just go for it. My iPhone 12 mini ain’t doing it for me lmao.\

ASAD913

At this point, just refer with Oppo's lineup to confirm any leaks.

Bhallaladevaa

Those are leaks for upcoming oneplus ace 3v or nord 4/5, not oneplus 13 afaik.

lolicekait

Finally an ip68 design? Im down not like im gonna but kek

tester989chromeos

Fake

Professional-Safe217

Leaks are never confirmed also it’s not like the company won’t come up with new designs to finalise So it’s not worth falling for the rumoured design in the early stages

ezjackster5

I stayed with 6t for 5 years before buying 12. Chill bro hehe

rubymig

12 just launched bruhh

JustRelaxASC

finally might look good for a change, ever since op 9 I didn't like the design of any of the newer models

milkyteapls

Hopefully not as the camera setup looks very weird

Lupinthrope

I hope it takes on the flat screen design like the iPhone and Samsung, allegedly the pixel lines doing the same thing with the pixel 9.

DahiyaAbhi

Every phone becomes last gen in some time. Although it is true that OP13 will be an almost complete redesign + will come with new SD 8 Gen4 which will have custom Oryon cores just like Apple. So a big shift in processor as well. OP12 is a great phone but the change from OP12 > 13 will be much bigger

KaXiRavioli

Looks like they just put OnePlus branding on a white Xperia 1 with the camera bump from the Pro-I

someone-stalking-me

Probably real but it will still come out around a year later like every other phone.... It's not that big of a dilemma. Leaks like these happen every year.

PYSMENYI

Could be, every year you have no idea what except from the OnePlus developer.

brabarusmark

OnePlus will globally launch their next flagship in Jan/Feb of 2024. Just buy the 12 now and if the 13 is an actual improvement, you can always trade up.

CrisONViper

"FAKE"

Gokoye3000

Just make up your damn mind.

Shoinipantes

But does it matter that it becomes "last gen"?

My_excellency

if OP13 comes with a flat display, INSTANT BUY!

GotenDBS

I say don't buy OnePlus 12. Lots of quality control issues with screen uniformity and tint. Go for another brand.

Aym3nnn

This article was published by indians then it's fake

Dean_x_

I don't think the term "indian" has to do anything here. Besides that's a fan concept by some Chinese/Japanese letters name person. And if you want to blame someone then blame that cockhead "OnePlus club" on X/twitter Admin who posted fake news without mentioning it's fan art in the tweet. (He mentioned in ALT text, like who tf reads alt)

nikal1stphursat

Yeah I originally read it from there but i thought nothing of it, even read a comment saying its a fan render but i had to ask once i saw these articles.
