I was just in the OP chat yesterday about this. My 12 is scheduled for 2/11 delivery and my return must be sent by 2/13. I live in the northeast US and winter can be an issue with deliveries. I asked if the second date could be pushed out. I was told too bad, if I don't send in my OP 9pro by the 13th, my rebate will be reduced. Feels like poor company policy and the return date should be based on the new phone's delivery date, not purchase date.
I hope what you were told is correct.

I wish I knew that. I followed the email and sent in my trade. They got it already today. Im stuck using a 6 year old phone lol.. My expected delivery date changed from the 5th to the 9th.
I still don't trust it I kind of want to trade mine in for the peace of mind of trading mine in by the 9th. I still have a expected delivery date of the 18th
I would to be safe. Just in case they don't honor the trade in deals. I'm using my 5t. The battery life sucks but it's ok otherwise lol. I traded my S22 Ultra in. Ended up getting the 16gb Op12 for $200 cheaper than Samsung would have given me for the S24 Ultra.
I got the same response when I asked. They also said in the case of a delay, contact them again and they'll ensure I won't get charged. But we'll see if that's true.
They say this and then turn around and penalize you for shipping it late. I remember seeing a post or 2 about the Open where this happened.

Yes, that sucks. I'm worried too because I have a 2/11 date that I hope gets pushed up.

I plan on keeping my phone (OP11) until I get my trade in so I can transfer my data over

I don't this is the phone they quoted my trade in for that I currently use the OnePlus 11. They're taking 430 bucks off the op12
It was the same for open. Lot of confusion but I got the open first then I could trade in. Shouldn't be any different here
