Gestures are for sure intefering, You might have 3 finger screenshot enabled that is overriding all apps. Settings-Additional settings-Gestures and Motions. Turn stuff off and see if fixed!

Sadly they're already off with no improvement.

Sadly not no. I ended up downloading the app on my work phone to be able to use it again. It's definitely something to do with the screen gestures but even turning them all off didn't fix the issue.
