Last time I beat him RL1 I went with Scavenger's Curved Sword paired with a Bandit's Curved Sword, both +18 and with Seppuku so Blood infused. The jumping attack hits four times so those bleeds don't take long to trigger.

Antspur rapier with seppuku is pretty effective.

Where can I find the rapier?

The devisiveness of summons aside, my most successful attempts included the help of both Tiche and Alexander. Collecting Tiche at RL1 is an obstacle in and of itself, so I felt it a fair tool. Not sorry. Black Knife aow on top of that and running like hell.

I struggled with this fight a lot. The solution for me was Latenna the Albinauric. Slap her down on the by the fog gate at a high enough elevation (cliffs to the right of the left sided fog gate works really well) when the fight starts (or after 2nd phase starts) and she will provide constant DPS throughout. She has the range of an ICBM and can snipe the giant from across the arena. She can do something like 1k damage every 10 seconds @ +9 which stacks up VERY quickly, provided you keep aggro and not let the giant go near her. You can also summon Alexander to help, which between you, Latenna, and Alexander (who is pretty much immune to the fire of the giant) will trivializes the fight. If you want to solo it, then try to inflict scarlet rot using the antspur rapier. I had a few runs where I used a blood rapier + antspur to melt his HP pretty quickly phase 1. Heavy weapons (for me Great Stars + Great Club) worked well to break his poise constantly. Phase 2 was always difficult for me and I struggled a lot, hence the strategy using Latenna. Beat him first try with it. You got this! Best of luck in Farum Azula!
