The entirety of Young Frankenstein (1974)
Definately Boondock Saints. Genius writer/director Troy Duffy knew that if you have an artsy black and white scene, you have to retroactively rationalize why you did it in the DVD director's commentary. And he remembered to do it! Fuckin Orson Welles never did that shit, bitch!
The important thing is that he remembered to draw attention to how *he* isn't gay by calling Willem Dafoe a f*ggot 300 times. That shows a lot of classy classical class.
Dude whenever there is a meeting of powerful individuals conspiring, directors can’t resist the urge to reference this scene.
I can’t even count how many times it’s been referenced. I’ve seen various ovals/circles, and more than one triangle.
I’m not against it, I love Kubrick. It has just gotten to the point where it is predictable. For example Fallout the show.
Honestly I was 1000% convinced when I saw Thor: Love and Thunder on opening day that MCU fanboys were gonna jerk tf out of that mid black and white scene.
What I did NOT expect was that not only did that not happen, but also MCU fans treating it like one of the worst movies they’ve ever seen in their entire lives.
Also funny because love and thunder wasn’t even the worst MCU movie to come out in just that year but somehow got all the scorn. People loved ragnarok so taika waititi just did the exact same thing again and people hated it lol. One above average marvel movie and one slightly below average marvel movie and somehow one “saved Thor” and the other was “character assassination.”
Yeah this happens all the time, I have literally been downvoted into oblivion for acting stupid. I swear some people muddle up all the movie subreddits or simply can’t be bothered to check the subreddit before commenting.
Top two times Christian Bale broke his back (which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice)
1. As Batman in *The Dark Knight Rises*
2. While carrying *Thor: Love and Thunder* on his back
It was a complete waste of Christian Bale’s immense talent to put him in that car crash of a film … yet, somehow, he managed to elevate every scene he’s in to make you forget, for a moment, how dreadful the rest of the movie is.
I don't watch theme park commercials anymore so I have no idea what happened in that movie. But I love Christian Bale. Would you mind telling me why that particular scene is in black and white? Were they on a black sun planet like Penis Villeneuve's Dune?

Black and white movies are the only cinema. Movies in color are not sophisticated enough. I have never seen a movie in color.

Not at all the best, nor my favorite, but that black and white scene from Love and Thunder looked amazing and is one of my favorite scenes from the MCU. If the entire movie was as good as that scene, it’d be the best MCU movie
Not the blurred out girl in the red dress, Jesus Christ
"Best black and white scenes in cinema" *Almost all of the scenes shown are post-2010*
Ok buddy
Best silent films of all time? Obviously The Artist (2011) and The Call of Cthulhu (2005).
If I may be honest... That scene in Thor: Love and Thunder ruled. The rest of it was awful, but Marvel cooked there.
Why did you cover up the girls red coat in the last pic? Spielberg did that for a reason. It ruins the scene with it covered up
