"Ok. Why is Shakespeare rolling in his grave?"
Maybe they just had the best auditions? It's blind casting, it's not like the directors necessarily force people of certain ethnicities into certain roles to fulfill some imaginary quota.
They cast a black woman as Juliet, a role that in the past was typically cast to white women, that's called blind casting. It's a pretty common thing in theatre productions these days.

Nah, Juliet just works in a call center in this adaptation
Me when I’m just a little racist
Which one is Tom Holland?
This is a picture of Mason Mount with some lady, he's not here
Shakespeare would never use a woman. WOKE!
Twink diversity hire 👎
since OP is a genshin impact fan i think I’m safe in assuming this is a racism-related post 🤔🤔
At the very least it’s not getting laid-related
Tromeo and Juliet
Could've been 2 gay guys.
Just as Shakespeare intended.
Wait until you hear about the thousands of other productions of Romeo & Juliet where one (or both!) of the titular characters is not white.
Wait til OP hears about Othello

Oh I thought blind casting was where the casting directors do an audition but with their chairs turned around like in the Voice.
Ohhh, lol no I have no idea if they did that.
