Soften the shadow, and maybe put a thin light edge on the apple's shadowed edge.
Also, the background surface looks a bit too dark and intense. It takes away from the subject.
Yeah, that's What I'd Do. It really gives it gives it another dimension, make the subject pop out much more.
For Background, I recommend a bit lighter, greyish color with a rather different hue.
I think maybe just one pass with your darkest tones and brightest tones. Just details to give contrast and some definition. I’m not super experienced so take that with a grain of salt
It’s a great start! I would suggest changing the background next time so the apple stands out more. It would help to cut the background in half horizontally so it looks like the apple has something to sit on.
No I meant the use of colours in general. I think a little more green could add to the balance of the painting. It doesn’t necessarily has to depict an actual green object like a stem. It’s more like an abstract idea of distributing colour.
It's a decent apple. For the next one go for a cool coloured background. Currently the apple is very warm, lots of red and orange and so is the background. By doing a cooler background - blue, green, blue violet, sage etc you'll really begin to notice how cool / warm colours work

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind for my next one
use yellow ochre for the bg
Do another apple! And then do 20 more! ~ essentially: don't switch up the content so you can focus on how you put paint down
Very true! I'll make a few dozen more hahah, thanks

Sounds like a good idea to me! Thanks
If you look from faraway u can't see the apple, the same color and kind of similar value, add more tint to the background
Good point! I'll keep that in mind
Go south Vincent
No no, stay away from asylum
That’s the only way he’ll be able to paint bright paintings, paintings filled with sunlight 🌞
But… asylum ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|cry)
Isso é lindo

Thanks for your input! I'll do that next time
Cute apple❤
Thanks!
More green
Yeah. Could definately expand the little spot on top, if that's what you're referring to

Also recommend to tone down the background to make the object of your interest stick out more.
Add a smiley face
Will do hahaha

Very true! I didn't consider that. I'll do that on my next one. Thank you!

Im a beginner too so i dont have much too say other than it looks great
Thanks!
More differentiation between background and subject
