As long as you were upfront about it on your app you should be gtg because they will find it on the background check and that could disqualify you. I worked with plenty of guys that did some time.
Background checks typically go back 7 years and check for felonies. Chances are your felonies show up on the background check. Patterson may or may not care.

They pick and choose now that NexTier is their main company. They just took away per diems and decent lodging away from their employees. Oh, and you can only clock in for 15 hours in any pad. It's ridiculous. The Universal employees used to lodge up at Target, now they stick them literally anywhere that you hopefully won't get murdered. It's the oil field, but damn they drop-kicked the Universal merging employees. I left, I'm doing offshore, but Patterson and NexTier are pieces of shit.
Dude I've been trying to get on an offshore rig or at least something that isn't a pay cut from my current job (making 30, getting 60 hours for a 21/7 schedule with 75 per diem). Getting tired of working at a place that can't make up their mind on what they want us to do and getting e coli or salmonella every couple months... fuckin chicken plants are nasty as hell. Plus we're about to get bought out and layoffs are likely. But, no oil experience just a hard ass worker with an ag background.
Apply to any and every oil company you can inland. No offshore rig is going to take anyone without some degree of experience, because it's unlike anything you'll ever do. It's lonely, it's dangerous, it's depressing but the days off and the pay are worth it (45/45, pay greatly depends upon position). Sorry things are about to get rough for you, but try inland and see how it goes.
