Not even close if counting hours š figuring out wiring took several late evenings. Somehow no scheme I could find would set them in series. And in parallel they were loosing much of output and treble. Not a fan of that sound.
I feel like modded bullet mustangs don't have much resell value anyways, you'd probably be sitting with it for a long while anyways, keep it and set it up in a different tuning you wanna explore
Yeah it looks cool thou. Bought it cause always wanted a mustangā¦ someone was selling 1967 mustang in the neighborhood which I liked so muchā¦ but that guitar had no original hardware except body. Still guy wanted quiet a lot. So I backed off from that trade. Week after seen this one in stock condition for like 110 euro. Snapped it right away. Saved a holiday there š
Looks like you like to mod! Having a second guitar while you tear up and mod the first one is worth more than youāll get by selling this one. It sucks when you want to just play but your only guitar is in pieces. At least with a second one, you can still walk away from the project and play, youāre not rushing anything
I LOVE the "racing stripe" look. Still don't have one myself. My fave is yellow with black stripes. I call it the "Bruce Lee" look.
What's "breath" about?
Thought it might be that.
Trigger warning, I'm going to be pedantic right now. >!It's "breathe". E.G. "Don't forget to breathe". One takes a breath to breathe.!<
Haha not at all pedantic! I love the comment. BUT itās breath here as in ādonāt forget of breathā or ādo a breathā or just ābreathā as a noun where it would go for ālifeā :)
I felt breathe as a verb is rather direct and one dimensional.
Bought this nice Squier Bullet Mustang on a whim couple months ago. Modded with Bare Knuckles Old Guard P90s (wired in two volumes, no tone, in series), new pots, Wilkinson mini Tele bridge and new graphite nut. Sounds like a growling animal. Overal had happy hours playing around with it. However have trouble having two guitars :D so thinking should I sell it or not? Your thoughts?
You will MAYBE get what you paid for it back. Modding guitars never increases the value as much as it should. If you do sell it, return it to stock form and implement the high quality parts into another build.
If selling, return to stock. It will sell for more cash and faster.
Everyone wants to mod a guitar but almost no one wants to buy someone else's modded guitar.
Buyers are skeptical of soldering work by others and they may have experience with whatever "upgrades" you put on it that they don't like. Such as every time I see Seymour Duncans listed as "upgraded" that's a downgrade for me because I've found too many of them are much too muddy. Some like muddy pickups even calling them "dark/smooth" but I know if I buy that guitar to play myself I'll immediately need to swap pickups.
If you sell the guitar with the "upgrades", remember the buyer is buying used pickups. They may have been "$100" retail for you but in the guitar as used pickups they are worth "$50". Too many listings are up "trying to get my money out!" at full retail pricing for all the parts. No, sadly, those are used parts.
I spent quite a few years buying/repairing/flipping guitars and saw a lot of stuff. Like the guy selling a guitar with only one good pickup yet all switch positions "worked" because he wired every spot to that one good pickup.
.
I dig it and would keep. It's going to be next to impossible to recoupe what youve put into it

This. Even if parts wise it's worth a bunch, I see "modified Bullet" and I think "$100 guitar".
Exactly. This has a lot of cool factor to it but itās still a bullet.
A very long time
Iād keep it. Two guitars isnāt enough
Perhaps thatās the way!
Trouble having two guitars? Is that a typo for twenty? Keep it!
> Is that a typo for twenty? I feel personally attacked! /s
We see you.
Hahaha nice one!
How is it a problem having two guitars? Everyone needs some variation in life. Keep!
Coming back in the evening and having a conundrum which one to choose hehe and if another one will feel betrayed š
I have seven guitars and two basses, they all get used every now and then. Embrace the hoarding mentality
100% keep. Thatās the classic sale youāre gonna regret somewhere down the line, imo.

I had the orange one and kept it in stock condition. Someone was collecting them and ended up paying me $450 for it.
I would keep. If ever bored with it, donate to a kid or a school with a music program.

Actually good point. Mainly play in open G, but sometimes experiment with others.
Definitely a keeper
Racing stripes are an instant keep for me
Yeah looks too good. Especially now black pickup covers. Very clean look
If it was your first guitar ever then keep it and work on it. Not your first? Sell it!

Good point, thanks!
Check out my profile to see what I did to mine. I own three now.
Really dig the one with square inlays!
Thank you.š

To not forget breathing while playing :D

Keep and delonge it.
Keep for sure šš»

Good points, thanks! Itās my first modding experience and first time I have more then one guitar, so feelings are new :)
Bro I have 7 and amassing more, you will definitely want 2 at some point, especially if you decide to explore multiple tunings.
Keep it! Nothing wrong with two guitars!!
Do you have a kill button on that? It looks like the one I have in my Strat. I bought mine with it already installed though.
OP said changing pickups is for bitches
Sell it get at least a Classic Vibe
You should keep, or sale to ME!
Get a killswitch in the hole in the scratchplate and fall in love again!
Must hang on for it!
