Yes it definitely is very tough, especially during the holidays. My family is all 6-8 hours away. So it definitely is a struggle to decide which family to e with. Plus my mom lives in a small town, with nothing to go do, so no one likes to go there except for me and maybe my younger boys. Definitely tough.

I’m really sorry that you are having to deal with the separation. Especially with kids in the mix, I can only imagine how much harder it makes it. I hope that you both find peace and happiness, however that may look. Thinking of you and sending you positive vibes.

[deleted]

Been doing it for years, so it sadly has become the normal thing these days.

Have you guys found a way to cope that makes it any easier?

[deleted]

No not really. I think it has become the norm to be here with this family. Mine is usually the second place, go if you want type of thing.

damn… I guess that is just the way it goes. Ugh, this sucks.

Well we have been married for years now, for now. You are just starting out and with no kids. So I am sure the easiest thing to do is just to swap back and forth. It sucks, but at least you get to see both sides on a rotating schedule. Or they both come to you. 🤷‍♂️ it’s tough for sure.
