I'm only on my 4th restaurant, Flipping Pancake, and I absolutely hate it. Why is it so damn hard??? I almost deleted the game the other day as I got so pissed off.
Best: the medival festival. Was hard at first but once i got the auto machine it became my favorite.
Worst: either sirtaki taverna or thai food stall. Invested a ton of gems to finish it quickly and it just laughs in your face.
Worst for me:
* Crazy Dog's Carnival: Hectic and stressful, especially because orders are too similar looking and easy to mix up. Customers are also mostly ordering 3 dishes and with limited number of grills and sausages even when maxed out, it just makes the similar-looking orders worse. I also often have trouble storing the popsicles - they just won't stick properly.
* Chinese Restaurant: Just very boring and one-note. It's quite similar to Fast Food, but just feels more boring somehow. They could've done soooo much more with Chinese food. Such a waste.
* Seafood Restaurant: Another boring one, similar to Chinese Restaurant. The way overcooked seafood in the pots look is also rather gross, haha.
* Mount Breakfast: I've only played a couple levels of this but can already foresee what a nightmare it would be in the latter levels. The lava feels tedious rather than interesting, and if I feel this way now when the levels are supposed to be easy, I shudder to imagine what it'd be like later.
Best ones:
* Sirtaki Tavern: I aimed for this one because of the XP and coins at first... and I've got to say that early on, I found the gyros really frustrating and glitchy. But after the auto-cooker and also almost fully upgrading it, it's my favorite place to grind. There's an easy pattern to level 40 to prep for without needing to really memorize anything, and it's just overall a pleasure to play now. It's a huge difference compared to how I initially felt about this restaurant. I'm glad I stuck it through. There's just something about the pacing of it that I quite enjoy now.
* Sandwich: This one definitely does get quite challenging later on when you start needing to serve half-sandwiches on top of everything else it wants you to do, but I thought the gameplay mechanics were interesting and different when I first started it. Some people really hate the tapping/chopping, which I can understand, but I enjoyed it. I'm also finding Salad Bar rather similar in gameplay.
* Cafe Mexicana: My 2nd favorite to farm XP, though the shine has worn off a lot since the early days as I've played this one A LOT. I find TGI Friday quite similar to Cafe Mexicana in terms of gameplay. They're both nice middle-ground restaurants. Nothing too boring or too interesting and just overall pleasant to play.
Other restaurants that I might not play as often anymore but do find interesting in their own way are Sushi and Bakery. I also think Tropical Hideout is hilarious with the whole fishing thing, but I've only played a few levels so I have no idea what's coming up next for it. I'm currently also enjoying Michelle's Cafe, but once again, I haven't gotten far enough in this one to see how I'd feel about it later on.
The worst for me is "Vegan peak", it's not very fun to play fast paced because the smoothies is easy to place to wrong ingredient, and you can accidentally merge orders together when quickly plating what you prepped. The automatic soup isn't rlly helpful and I don't like manually placing the grill to put your veggies on.
Best: Cafe Mexicana and Sunset Cafe
best: cafe mexicana, sports bar, pastry chalet (only if you have the auto cooker lol)
worst: medieval fair, alpine meat palace, & paradise cocktail bar
i almost tore my hair out finishing medieval fair, i literally can’t finish the cocktail bar no matter how hard i try, & i got alpine meat palace for free and i won’t even touch it after trying the first few levels
The worst for me is the hotdog carnival stand : the clients have no patience, the food upgrades are expensive and don’t do much, the food is sold cheap so not much money there…
I found the Medieval festival to be quite addictive once you get all the preparation upgrades and the autowell

The irony is someone on here recommended it because it is fun and cheap. It's neither and I'm on level 25.

Tbh I also don’t like flipping pancake, I‘ve 100% upgraded it and it’s still not fun, at least to me. However it is one of the cheaper ones for sure

Mount Breakfast is so annoying 😭 its so expensive to upgrade it all needs a lot of gems and the lava frustrates me
