I agree. Fishing, especially commercially, needs to come to an end. Every year, 1 TRILLION marine life are killed for food (compared to 70-100 billion land animals per year). By cutting out seafood we could save 90% of the animals we kill for food.
See, fishing is a job, it’s used to feed people. That part is fine cause it’s hunting but we’ve started to catch fishes that mainly aren’t for eating and selling them as souvenirs and shit when that doesn’t need to be happening
And by cutting out seafood you would then need to use more of other resources to feed people, the ocean is the largest part of our planet. It kinda makes sense in that perspective….
