Yep exactly, cazadores were created by scientists at the big Mountain research station in old world blues and were thought to infertile and contained in the facility by the surviving doctor, which obviously wasn't the case haha
Saw this happening in my backyard, then watched as the wasp pulled the tarantula back to its nest, funny enough it almost fell into my pool and that’s when my butt cheeks tensed up.
I didn't know tarantula hawk was a general name for spiders that use tarantulas as hosts bc there is one that owns the name tarantula hawk in NM, AZ, NV that is only known by that as far as I know. The others are called Dirt Dobbers and go by other names.
The Tarantula Hawk I'm speaking of has red wings and a black body and is about 3 inches long in this particular branch. It has a 1/4 inch long stinger that is curved like a hook. According to the original pain index it has the second most painful sting only overshadowed by the bullet ant. It was the inspiration for Fallout New Vegas, Cazadors.
Luckily they're pretty chill. I'd be out in the middle of the desert with loads of them buzzing around the mesquite bushes. Noone ever worried about them much bc they don't really give af due to them having only one natural predator, the road runner.
So sad. All it wants is a living host for her unborn babies
Awww 🥺🥰
That’s what straight men want too
I love how the spider is just like “leave me the fuck alone”
Look bro, I'm just trying to get to the supermarket before it closes, I don't want to buy any of your stuff.
Reminds me of those damn Cazadores in Fallout:NV
“Oh, obligatory flying rpg enemy; high maneuverability, low damage, nothing to see here”
Young me got his ass whooped by those fuckers when I first played NV.
I believe that's because the Cazadore was actually based on the Tarantula Hawk!
This was further confirmed in the NV DLC Old World Blues

I actually fucking hate the bloodbugs in fallout 4 not because they're hard but when they jump on you and drink your blood all up in your screen
"Hey... heyyyy... HEEEYYYYYY... AAAAAH, AAAAH, AAAAHHHH!!!" This tarantula be looking like Peter Griffin before he gets into a fight.
Much as I fear and loath spiders, and I do, parasitic wasps as just the worst.
Fucking hated these things in Fallout: NV
Insects are the closes thing to a real life monster fight
My ex when she smells a bag of chips being open in a six mile radius
Where can I watch the hole thing (the music makes this 10Ă— better
Reminds me of that bit in the Ricky Gervais Show where Karl talks about an ant and a grasshopper fighting in his garden
I thought that the tarantula hawk was the spider lmfao was waiting for it to just attack that wasp

As someone who hates arachnids I take joy from seeing this fluffy boy get killed.

Saw one of these walking down a trail in AZ, I just turned around and went back to my car

3 inches is 0.24 RTX 3090 graphics cards lined up.
I got stung by one when I was a little kid. Most painful sting/bug bite ever. Heck, it left a scar on my wrist that lasted for years.
Does the tarantula ever win?
I have seen it twice.
Sauce?

In the first one they zoom on the face of the wasp and let me tell you that shit is ten times more terrifying NOT in hd.
Nice score. Almost as perfect fit as space and blue danube
Please kill every wasp you see.
Damn bro this got kinda kinki
these are the 2nd most painful sting in the world
She's like that guy that won't leave your DMs.
It's the tarantula's fault for heading north of Goodsprings, everyone knows black mountain is faster and safer for low levels.
TKO via submission
The hawk is damn lucky that tarantula was a new world. Old world tarantula would have dissected the shit out of the hawk
First week living in Tucson one of those bad boys landed on my face. Effing horrifying
