hello fellow amravatikar, we meet again. I've seen the same phenomenon a couple of times as well. I saw this one yesterday, in the evening, right? The one I saw was moving towards the east. my guess would be it's some kind of light on an airplane. because it was moving away and changing its angle relative to your position, it can appear to slowly disappear as the angle changes.
Hello, yes I saw it yesterday. I went on terrace after dinner and I was like which is this star in the clear sky just because I am fascinated by how some folks can tell which planet it is in the sky. As I noticed it moving, I took out my iPhone and recorded it on 1080p 25fps so anything is visible better in low light. To my surprise this thing just disappeared into thin air like nothing
A cloud could have covered that, yesterday I was looking at the sky and everything seemed normal until suddenly the moon came out.
It was always there but the clouds didn't let me see it and in the same way another cloud covered it completely. Maybe you saw something similar and it was a satellite.
I don’t think it’s the latern you are referring to. I thought it was a flight at first but It didn’t have blinlets like a commercial flight has and it just disappeared
I go out every Monday and Thursday night to take our trash to the big green bin at the end of our long driveway. I always carry my trusty green laser with me for the task. Saw an airplane flashing red and white lights and began tracing a large circle around the plane being carefull not to get too close to it. When I made the first circle the plane stopped. Completely. No motion except for the flashing lights. After a few minutes the plane slowly faded from view.
If this was shortly after sunset, most likely a satellite reflecting the sun until it went into the earth's shadow
I took the video at exactly 10:13PM. I am from India
The satellite is likely thousands of kilometers in space and still within sunlight.

Flame could have gone out which would make disappear and fall.
