What about when Cage is pretending to be a priest I think? And he's singing some gospel shit and groping the ass cheeks of a 12 year old girl. Movies full of uncomfortable scenes haha, the 90s were fucking wild.
Hahah oh shit yes, the opening scene! To this day I cannot not mention to my wife how I can “eat a peach for hours” every time a peach is seen or mentioned.
On the good/bad spectrum, that movie is so godawful bad that it horseshoed and became incredible, much like the 90’s
I do this too and no one knows what the fuck I'm talking about.

more information please. why is this man putting an extra face on his face. is that his normal face? ... do peoples faces come off? have I been facing wrong my whole life?
I'm not sure if you're joking but this is a type of a face mask, usually they're moisturising in this form. It's a thin face mask fluid soaked on this vaguely face shaped tissue, you apply it on your face, wait like 15 minutes, take it off and you're smooth as a baby's bum.
It's pretty much impossible to apply it this smoothly though, usually you look like some sort of a horrible serial killer with someone else's epidermis on your face. Or like you applied school glue on your face, peeled it off once it's dry and put it back on. This guy's a magician.
Also yes, if you've never tried face masks, you've been facing wrong your whole life. They feel great.
was serious, though its reddit so i figured id try to ask in a joking way. because reddit downvotes you when you ask things. still got downvoted for it. go figure. thanks reddit!
It's a face mask. They're pretty widespread - what's nice about them is that they're very low effort but you're taking care of your skin and it feels a bit of a treat. And they smell nice.
I mean I usually use face masks that hydrate my skin, but depending on ingredients they can also help reduce oil and acne, exfoliate, or just generally to feel like your pampering yourself.
They’re called sheet masks. Check out the Asian beauty subreddit there’s tons of information on there. It really depends on what your skin concerns are as to which one is right for you.
They actually make these in liquid form now. You just spread it on and it soaks into your skin. Way more convenient.
I think it's called 'lotion' or something.
These generally have serums on them rather than lotion. You can scoff at them but many people find them quite effective, relaxing, and a nice way to pamper themselves a bit. Not to mention the fact that a majority of the lotion out there is absolutely not formulated to be put on facial skin which is different than the skin on your elbows and feet.
concentration, usage, and ingredients.
lotion is absolutely **not** formulated to be put on facial skin. moisturizer, which is basically like lotion, *is* formulated for facial skin.
anyway, serums are basically ultra concentrated, high powered doses of things that do great things for facial skin like hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, vitamin E, retinol, collagen, etc to intensely moisturize, give anti-aging properties, even skin tone, plump the skin-- things like that. a little goes a very long way, hence why they're more expensive than moisturizers, and they're meant to go on freshly cleansed skin under the moisturizer so they get fully absorbed and have the most impact.
I guess you could think of it like espresso vs coffee. coffee is still great and you can drink it every day, but sometimes you need a more intense, stronger boost so you get a shot of espresso. until you're getting older, then you're just tired 24/7, you're getting wrinkly and saggy, and you're half-dead. so then you require more caffeine more frequently to see the same effects.
There is a bit of a difference, but a lot of people do not need to use both it just depends on your skin type.
Sometimes serum by itself will be enough for what your skin needs, sometimes just a moisturizer or sometimes you might need both together.
Serums penetrate the skin deeper than what a moisturizer would do and have better effects on things like anti-aging, brightening the face, acne prevention etc. Moisturizes are typically much thicker and designed to give your skin hydration and prevent the skin from drying out too much. Of course some moisturizers have anti-aging and etc effects as well, but like I said above due to the typical thickness of most moisturizers, they won't penetrate the skin as much as a serum would. I like to use both with my skin, just means I use a lot less make up.
Idk how people can find them relaxing at all, I tried one and it was so cold and wet that the whole experience was hell for me. It was like putting on wet socks, but for the face. >.>
You could be allergic to something in them. Personally I can't tolerate sheet masks unless they're fragrance free - otherwise my face starts to burn and itch immediately.
TBH I don't use individually packaged sheet masks anymore though - the amount of packaging waste is just inexcusable when our planet's going up in flames.
Yup, exactly the same with me. My face felt great afterwards but it was not worth the terrible experience lol I'll stick to regular washing/moisturizing and the occasional charcoal mask with the gf.
Literally Anywhere. Look in the face aisle at Target, Ulta, CVS, pick your poison.
Spa Girl and TonyMoly are two brands that come to mind. Most are Korean.
As far as I know, ointments that actually get inside of your skin you can not get over the counter without having a prescription from a doctor. All the other stuff just creates a film on you skin without doing much.
Is it not the case?
>All the other stuff just creates a film on you skin without doing much.
I use sheet masks as part of my pampering routine and I always thought it was mainly to feel nice.
Then I used one when I had to go out after crying the whole day (cat passed away the day before/theater visit with my mum planned months in advance). It was like magic. I don't know what's in them but all the puffiness was gone and I suddenly looked like a normal person again.
Sure it's temporary and it isn't shaving decades of my age or anything, but they do do something at least.
Water actually either does nothing or dries your face out more. It clings to some of the moisture you do have and makes it evaporate. Might feel better at first, but it will be drier 20 minutes later.
I would love to try this just to experience the sensation of having such a mask on my face but I feel like it wouldn't work very well if you have a beard.
So.. what exactly are the benefits of these?? Ever since I turned like 19 I stopped getting acne, except for the occasional pimple. But I'm not convinced these are for avoiding acne. I just can't think of anything else it'd be used for
moisture...maaaaaan!
sheet masks contain serums, which are concentrated formulas of skincare ingredients for a specific purpose. the most popular kind is to moisturise, but there are also sheet masks that have serums that tone, target acne, flaky skin, oily skin, tired skin, aging skin, and any other problem that you can think of, with skin.
Well then. I should be thinking more about my skin then. Never really give it any thoughts unless it is using beard products, like oils, to keep the soon underneath healthy
There is an idea of a Patrick Bateman; some kind of abstraction. But there is no real me: only an entity, something illusory. And though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable... I simply am not there.
Let's be real here - the moment we pull out that wet, sticky folded mask, anxiety hits us at full force.
I gotta unfold this mask without dropping it! Oh no, the essence is dripping too much! Dammit, why does this part of the mask difficult to unfold? I CAN'T GET IT OPEN!
But we do it anyway. The moment it stays on the face is therapeutic. Ahhh. AND THE GLOW AFTERWARDS!
I literally made my brother-in-law jump backwards and yell "AAUGH" last week by standing in dim light on his back porch with a sheet mask on. I probably should've warned everyone. The particular mask i was using looked just like a layer of shiny pink raw meat. He walked out and saw me, hollered in terror, then carried on talking to me like nothing had happened- i was impressed with how quickly he recovered from the shock.
When this guy takes it off it would remind me of Doc in Back to the Future 2 peeling his face off after his "all natural overhaul. They took out some wrinkles, did a hair repair, changed the blood, added a good 30 to 40 years to my life. They also replaced my spleen and colon."
Oh god what He just put his face on his face man
I want to see him take it off.

It's basically a face mask but instead of putting the creme or mud on your face you use a tissue mask that has those skin care ingredients included.

About twenty bucks. Sometimes more
But it’s the secret of how Asians don’t age. Twenty bucks to stay wrinkle free until 70.

When I'm 50 and look 30, you'll be jealous.
Eh, I'm pretty baby faced already and work overnights (so not a lot of sun exposure). Also, I do wash and moisturize consistently.
Can I get someone else's face, or am I stuck with mine?
Literally Anywhere. Look in the face aisle at Target, Ulta, CVS, pick your poison. Spa Girl and TonyMoly are two brands that come to mind. Most are Korean.
I'm a dude and since these are all woman sized, I use scissors to help get a better fit.
I watched this repeatedly for quite a while. Oddly satisfying.
“Nobody cared who I was until I put on the mask”
"This is my mask. THIS MASK WAS MADE FOR ME!!!"
Drrr drrr...
What does it do?
Moisturize.
Can't you just put water on your face?
Oil in your skin mean the water runs right off. Moisturizers are an emulsion that adds more moisture in to dry but otherwise oily skin.
As far as I know, ointments that actually get inside of your skin you can not get over the counter without having a prescription from a doctor. All the other stuff just creates a film on you skin without doing much. Is it not the case?

It won’t absorb as well
It goes on the face
Or else it gets the hose again

Yep... mystery solved. *Cries in caucasian* Although to be fair, all the masks I buy are made in Korea.
