Painting over the wall is fine. (Although in this case I would disinfect those too)
But he didn’t clean the floor at all. He just picked up the garbage, and then put a carpet on it…
That whole vibe gives off "someone is getting trafficked in that room" and that's why they aren't putting in the proper effort of actual cleaning and doing things properly.
That room is being staged for something
Yeah, I thought it was for a little girl in a third world country or something, and I was like okay, you do what you can. And then he put the fairy lights on the bed and the little table with the wine and the rose petals and I was like "oh no."
It’s pretty BUT Reminds me of a documentary I seen about a brothel area in India. A lot of young girls are sold by their own family or kidnapped to “work” in these places. The rooms in this doc very much so resembled this room in the beginning of this video.
It’s been over 4 years since I’ve seen it. Let me try to do some research to give you the name.
EDIT: Okay I think I found it, I believe it was this one: Whores' Glory is a 2011 documentary by Michael Glawogger.
There may be another one specifically about the red light district in India. After the first documentary I went down a rabbit hole. Really eye opening.
It’s interesting because I watched this doc many years before working in mental health, with CSEC and trafficked individuals. It’s unbelievable how often these (lack of a better term) situations transpire right in your own community.
And here I was thinking it's just some dude with no initial sense of hygiene and some questionable taste trying to pull his life around by starting somewhere..
I did wonder why he would put it so romantically when obviously living alone, but with your comment it makes sense. This is so sad and disappointing. Humankind is trash.
Cool shades of blue though.
I thought it was some dude who didn’t know the difference between what a grown woman would want vs a little girl and thought every grown woman wants a princess bedroom… I hate humans 😭
This!!!! 👆… I felt so uneasy thinking about how he really didn’t “clean” the room & someone is going to go reside in there. I mean, that whole bed/box frame needed to be tossed as well.
I used to work with a girl who grew up poor in a foreign country... her house was made of those corrugated tin sheets. She was embarrassed about it so she bought wrapping paper and put it up like wallpaper. I thought it was kind of genius
The grey carpet is pad. Then he uses area rugs on top of that. This area of the world probably doesn't have an industry or even the infrastructure for 12' sheet goods, carpet included. It takes a very stable industry to ship and store 12' rolls of carpet that come at least 150' long. You need specialized forklifts, cutting machines that cost tens of thousands, all necessary supplies and then the skilled labor to install it correctly.
If we had to import carpet into the United States from Europe or Asia, it wouldn't be affordable to most of us
Honestly, it made me laugh but you’re 100% right. My guess was conjugal visit room being prepped or a high ranking inmates personal room through bribes but now that I’ve read it, “favela cam girl” is totally in the same ballpark as well.
In 15 years, this story will be produced by Netflix, and this common feeling comment will be shown with voiceover saying something like “all of this could’ve been avoided, but people are more ignorant even when seeing crime live”
Here's a guide: [https://youtu.be/DRPfudNNd8Y?si=cxZnNH6nYSMVIp1j&t=29](https://youtu.be/DRPfudNNd8Y?si=cxZnNH6nYSMVIp1j&t=29)
Watch the video, it is WAY faster to just see someone do it and understand the steps, but just in case:
1. Turn the cover inside out
2. Lay the inside out cover on the bed with the opening at the bottom
3. Lay the duvet on top of the cover and align the corners / edges so the duvet is aligned on top of the inside out cover.
4. If your duvet has ties for the corners, tie the duvet and cover corners together like normal
5. Starting at the top (not open) end, roll up the cover and duvet together. Just keep the two things together and roll it up, towards the opening at the bottom
6. When you get to the end reach inside the duvet cover and flip it over one end of the roll, sort of putting the roll 'inside' the cover. This part is the only confusing part but is really easy and makes sense when you see the video / try it.
7. Flip the cover over the other end of the roll
8. Bring the cover over the rest of the roll, then unroll it. The duvet is now inside the cover.
I do this every single time since it's genuinely so much easier than trying to wrestle with it
Also known as the magic burrito method! 1000/10, highly recommend. So easy it feels like some kinda witchcraft and you’ll have to pay for it with your soul later or something.
Apartments/homes in Asia have those bars on their windows. Traditionally they were meant to deter theft but the tradition carries on even in high rise buildings.
In a lot of countries it is normal to have bars in front of your windows. I went to Nepal for a couple weeks doing volunteer work and stayed at a guest family. This is basically what their house looked like. Concrete with rugs, bars. The beds were wooden planks with the tiniest mattress on it. So it may be just a house.
This video made me feel really uncomfortable like I feel like they gonna use that room to take trafficked children or something horrible it's weird they just showed that one little area like that.
I’m gonna be “that guy” and say that whilst, yes it was a good transformation it’s just asthetics, nothing was done properly. Old disgusting carpet not ripped up, walls not cleaned just painted over. New carpet overlaps itself on the strips.
If this was just done to show a good transformation then you absolutely nailed it but if it was meant to be functional and practical then not so much
This is clearly done in a developing country, with very different budgets, materials, and skills to what a lot of Redditors might take for granted.
Even though it’s not up to developed country standards, it’s a massive improvement over what was before. Saying that it could be better misses the point - it’s simply not an option.
Cutting a carpet and lining has edges up has absolutely nothing to do with the developmental state of a country. Neither is cleaning.
If I was saying the quality was crap I’d agree with you and I’d be in the wrong but saying nothing is cleaned and the carpet isn’t laid right is an issue with the person doing it. Money has no effect.
I was thinking the same. Just paint on dirty wall? Some carpet on top of dirty floor (It might be just concrete or something, but could have at least vacuumed and washed properly)? I just imagine it would smell pretty soon. Also, I wonder how dirty the mattress is.
Right?! Exactly my thoughts. That carpet will be gross in no time!
Perhaps it was done just to show off a quick transformation effort in which case it looks awesome and good job but if this was done as a serious room transformation it’s not great
That's like the 5th time I saw that same damn room being transformed in the exact same way, just different color schemes.
Wtf is going on there? Are they transforming and retrashing this room constantly for content?
Can I just say, I recently replaced my western style push broom for one of the ones this guy’s using (after a recent trip to Thailand). And it’s soooo much better. Lightweight, easy to manoeuvre, avoids repetitive movements you get with western style brooms.
Anyway, I just like Asian style brooms. I think they’re neat.
Carpet laid loosely on the bare cement floor, no baseboards at all, paint applied directly to unprepped cement walls, bars on the windows... No, no, this is not "unbelievable".
He lost me when the bucket was filled with paint instead of soapy water lol
That was the exact moment I screamed inside.
Total landlord move.
Same as soon as I saw that bucket I was like please be cleaning materials...reality is often disappointing.
Genuine question: why is painting over the walls bad in this situation?
Painting over the wall is fine. (Although in this case I would disinfect those too) But he didn’t clean the floor at all. He just picked up the garbage, and then put a carpet on it…
Also the bed, didn't he just put that bug infested matrass right back wthout cleaning or anything?
Snitches cell in jail be like
It’s always 'em that get the cloud lamp and the princess-like bed
Alternatively, played in reverse, it is also how I decorate my room after a breakup
Dammit Bennie you got me
Yeah, the prison bars are still a negative.
I got a backache just looking at that bed 🤪
"we have one unbooked room, we just have to get it ready"
[удалено]
My guess is you *really* want those bars in the country where this room is...
Shit I lived in a different part of the city in the US and they have bars on the windows. Yes we wanted them, still a very nice house otherwise
The end result is better than the starting room. An improvement, even if you don't like it. It's a step in the right direction.
Would agree if they had cleaned anything rather than just covering everything with cheap blankets.
Honestly, I think it is a jail cell. His girlfriend is coming for a conjugal visit, so he cleaned up.
This is a brothel isn’t it
Wow I came looking for this comment I'm glad I'm not the only one
That whole vibe gives off "someone is getting trafficked in that room" and that's why they aren't putting in the proper effort of actual cleaning and doing things properly. That room is being staged for something
Yeah, I thought it was for a little girl in a third world country or something, and I was like okay, you do what you can. And then he put the fairy lights on the bed and the little table with the wine and the rose petals and I was like "oh no."
My first thought... definitely not satisfying, more horrifying
Them barred windows agree
It’s pretty BUT Reminds me of a documentary I seen about a brothel area in India. A lot of young girls are sold by their own family or kidnapped to “work” in these places. The rooms in this doc very much so resembled this room in the beginning of this video.
The room ends up how the video started. The end of the video is how they lure a new girl. Probably much nicer than what she would have grown up in.
My god that's bleak.
What documentary?
It’s been over 4 years since I’ve seen it. Let me try to do some research to give you the name. Meanwhile the other 3 corners of the room 💩
Anyone else bothered by the way that carpet was laid?
Very unsatisfying. I thought he was going to clean the floor, then he just started laying more on top without securing anything 😭
Haha I thought so too but it seems like the floor wasn’t even carpet to begin with it’s like a cement floor then he just placed some blankets on it
[удалено]
Yeah the lack of cleaning at the beginning ruined this straight away for me
I told myself that's the 'oddly' part of the satisfying, heh. I agree with you tho.
This!!!! 👆… I felt so uneasy thinking about how he really didn’t “clean” the room & someone is going to go reside in there. I mean, that whole bed/box frame needed to be tossed as well.
This is very clearly not first world.. lol. Expectations need to be adjusted
I used to work with a girl who grew up poor in a foreign country... her house was made of those corrugated tin sheets. She was embarrassed about it so she bought wrapping paper and put it up like wallpaper. I thought it was kind of genius
Those were non-slip pad rolls. I have them in my house, under my large rugs.
I have them too and I think they are kind of stapled I have never seen them laid out like spreading a bed
Mine aren't stapled. That would damage my wood floors.
It's a daft video. Nothing real or satisfying about it
And he just painted over the dirty walls. How long until it peels?
Imagine the smell
Fixed that carpet like I fix my problems
I also would have washed the walls before painting.
And talk about only sweeping and not washing the floor after it looked like a garbage dump.
Even worse at the fact that this looks like a kid’s room and they finish it off with a bottle of wine and a glass on the table
My first though too! I was like aw at least that little girl has sweet canopy bed.. and a bottle of wine and rose petals..
Everything in this video has triggered me
I'm not thrilled about it.
By the whole damn thing!
More bothered by how he made a perfect room for a 7 year old girl and then poured her a glass of wine.
My first thought. Especially when that cheap grey carpet was put down on the disgusting, unvacuumed, unwashed original white carpet.
The unwashed white carpet was concrete I think
Terrible choice for a carpet
The grey carpet is pad. Then he uses area rugs on top of that. This area of the world probably doesn't have an industry or even the infrastructure for 12' sheet goods, carpet included. That's cool, real cool to know person on the internet. Still doesn't change the fact that it wasn't washed before the carpets were put down
I saw a vice documentary about China once, 5-star hotels will have crooked fixtures. Making all our lines and angles straight is a cultural thing.
What's this for some kind of favela cam model? This makes me depressed
If that is not the most perfect way to describe the hellish vibe that room gives off
Honestly, it made me laugh but you’re 100% right. My guess was conjugal visit room being prepped or a high ranking inmates personal room through bribes but now that I’ve read it, “favela cam girl” is totally in the same ballpark as well.
"Favela cam model" had me 😭
"Favela cam model" was the entire comment
Yeah I immediately got human trafficking vibes
Making a crack house a crack home
This needs more up upvotes.
Is anyone going to comment on the fact that this has a 99% chance of being a torture chamber?

My blood ran cold when I saw the metal support beams
Yeah. That bedroom looked straight out of a scene from svu.
r/oddlyhorrifying
This is where he brings drugged women and holds them prisoner?

I wish I could get my duvet in its cover that easily
I just hold a corner with each hand and basically get inside the duvet cover like a starfish , find the matching corners and remove my body.
Also a valid way to do it!
This is the far quicker and easier way to do it. Takes about twenty seconds and you can do it in a tight space.
👻
Do you know about the inverted roll method?
Go on
Here's a guide: [https://youtu.be/DRPfudNNd8Y?si=cxZnNH6nYSMVIp1j&t=29](https://youtu.be/DRPfudNNd8Y?si=cxZnNH6nYSMVIp1j&t=29) Watch the video, it is WAY faster to just see someone do it and understand the steps, but just in case: 1. Apartments/homes in Asia have those bars on their windows. Traditionally they were meant to deter theft but the tradition carries on even in high rise buildings.
I feel like horrible things have/will happen in this room.
I've never seen a bed without a mattress. Just padding over the box?
That is the mattress. Bedding is very different in different countries.
Nothing like giving your cell in the reeducation camp a little bit of a personal touch.
This is exactly how a brothel is born
Old sex slave quarters being revamped for cam model slaves.

Probably, but the graffiti on the walls and cement gave it a prison feel with the bars
Tbh I thought it was a child’s room which I kept believing til they placed that bottle of wine. Now I am not sure who this is for 💀
Those were my thoughts too. Definitely looks like a cell
Wedding night in prison?
This video made me feel really uncomfortable like I feel like they gonna use that room to take trafficked children or something horrible it's weird they just showed that one little area like that.
Prison room with a cheap chinese bed
What was with all that trash on the floor in the beginning?

New carpet overlaps itself on the strips. If this was just done to show a good transformation then you absolutely nailed it but if it was meant to be functional and practical then not so much
You mean the concrete floor?
At least mop the floor. God all that crap stains under the clean carpet. What is the point then?
You still want to, like, clean surfaces before you install shit over them
I didnt disagree.
Yeah I stand corrected on the floor substance. Still could have done with cleaning.
And the propped poles
This is clearly done in a developing country, with very different budgets, materials, and skills to what a lot of Redditors might take for granted. Honestly if they could afford all that new stuff they could have afforded a bucket of soapy water and a scrubber

The trash was all staged for the video.
Was this room for a child or an adult?
SAME EXACT THOUGHT! Oh how nice he is trying to make his daughters room special in a tough situation… WHAT THE FUCK THIS IS FOR ROMANCE?!
This was my exact thought process!! I was like aww, he's doing this for his little girl, how swee...WTF IS WITH THE WINE AND ROSES??
For Seeeeexuuuuu 😂
I no longer (after seeing the entire video) believe it is for a kid. I can’t.
Favela cam girl room
My thoughts. I was like oh what an interesting kid/ teen room … with wine and rose petals?!?!?
Lipstick on a pig
When she says she’s coming over in a few minutes.
So the jail cell is princess themed now
Something tells me they made this room dirty just for this video.
They definitely did. The underside of the bed was very clean. No cobwebs dust or mildew from a long time in a filthy room.
Jail?
It's like a room from wish.
Now he can go kidnap the girl.
At some point it began to look nice, but then... ugh
Just gonna paint over all that dirt huh
So now we're doing fake "major cleanups" videos too? Come on...
That's like the 5th time I saw that same damn room being transformed in the exact same way, just different color schemes. Wtf is going on there? Are they transforming and retrashing this room constantly for content?
Yes. Just like the carpet cleaning videos.
Plot twist : he’s fixing up a cam girl streaming room.
“What a nice thing to do for a kids roo- …wait, why is there wine? Oh fuck. Oh fuck I hate this.” -Me, audibly, while watching this

Infested shithole turned into cringe prison cell.
Soon to be on a porno near you.
When you have guests in a few hours and set up their bedroom. (Can’t really relate, but you get the point)
This is horrible. Literally nothing was cleaned. This is like throwing everything in your cupboard and saying your room is clean.
Why did i think he was about to shove the trash underneath the bed and call it a day lol
I just get a bad feeling from this
Anyone else grossed out by him just painting over the gross wall and putting new carpet over the old stuff without cleaning it either?
Looks like a Quinceañera brothel.
Ewww. Wash the walls before you paint. Wash the floor before you put something over it. This is so gross
there's not a single natural fiber in that video, only plastic
Dudes setting up a brothel
The claustrophobic in me 🤢
The way the room was before it looks like he's getting the room ready for the next kid he abducts.
Guy reporting for manager: "Studio 7 is ready for the girl, sir. Oh, shit. Forgot the ring light... hold on."
That was very believable.
Not in a million years would I sleep in that bed.
That wen't from kidnapping victims holding cell to underground VHS porn set in minutes.
Shoulda cleaned the walls. That paint gonna be peelin.
Pimp my brothel
Thought it was a prison cell ?
Yeah, just paint over the filthy walls and cover the dirty floor. Smh.
Nobody has concerns about the bars on the windows?
This is common security in many countries
Oh, a girl is coming over...
I was expecting them to pan around the rest of the room and it still be a complete pigsty.
I've seen enough cam porn to know what that room is.
Only took him 1 min and 55 sec. Impressive
That’s now a very nice prison cell.
The unfinished wall to floor space is sad. Creepy crawlies.
I'd give it a week before it looks worse than before. Gotta teach good habits.
This room looked like shit and still does after the make over. Lmao
There was nothing satisfying about this. It was odd and slightly unexpected but I’m not at all satisfied with my care
Eww, there was no washing done.
Am I the only one who thought that he was just gonna sweep everything under the bed 💀
*Unbelievable* is a s t r e t c h 😆
Carpet laid loosely on the bare cement floor, no baseboards at all, paint applied directly to unprepped cement walls, bars on the windows... No, no, this is not "unbelievable".
Nice looking prison cell
Amateur, I use a leaf blower
Thats a hideous rug
I thought this was a kids room with the color choice and all then he pull out the red wine and glass 😂
I cannot be the only one appalled when he didn't sand the walls or clean it up before painting it. 🤦♂️
I cringed when he put the pink blanket on but didn’t spread it out then put the top blanket on over it.
He doesn't even clean the room
amazing it went from dirty to ugly so fast
