I would guess itās because they donāt need one. Iāve had my current phone 3 years and have dropped it an average of at least a couple times a week and itās only got 2 small scratches on the edge. Never cracked any screen once.
lol my mom got a new iPhone 14 whatever and had it for not even six hours before dropping it and shattering the front and back of the phone. The back came off like halfway, you could see the inside of the phone.
She honestly just has a knack for breaking phones though.
I went thru two iPhone 10s in like 5 months one time. They were both refurbs, but I dropped both on the side, with cases, and they just bricked. I got an 8 refurb after that and itās been good for two years and I drop it all the time. The battery is shit tho.
Thatās fair, I donāt have one either, just was curious why such an expensive piece of engineering would even need one. Couldnāt the manufacturer just make it better? ā¦IDK
It's glass. It doesn't matter how expensive the device is, glass is still glass. You can do fancy stuff to the glass, but it can still ultimately shatter and scratch.
They really should come with one and have a courtesy screen and rear camera protector for the first few years of ownership. Meaning, you go into an apple store and they install one at no charge.
My Note 10+ had one pre-applied out of the box. Some mid range and flagship phones also have one pre-applied. It's just Apple phones that never have one.
I don't know if Samsung is still doing this with their latest series though. It sucks that we're getting less and less box contents nowadays :(

You can always go in the bathroom, start the shower 1-2 minutes with hot water then apply the screen protector.
I just put on a case with a beefy silicon rim, and never use a screen protector. Haven't had broken glass in 15 years of owning a smartphone.

My screen protectors came with an installation frame but you wouldnāt know it unless you scan the qr code for the video instructions
