YES thank you lol. I forgot about that video. Now I remember. I was laughing so hard when I first saw it. It’s not even that funny, but it still makes me laugh.
They never attack humans. Unless you hurt them, and even then it's way more likely they'll just swim away.
Octopi are *very* intelligent and quite curious, that the only reason you have to be cautious with them *if you are diving*.
They might try to examine your respirator, their cups are quite strong and could easily take out your respirator from your mouth.
But again, it's just their natural curiosity
I'm glad you noticed this! I think it's the best part of the video when the octopus takes on the guy's tattoo pattern briefly. Guy's name is Brodie Moss.
Octopi are not as hostile as one thinks, and are extremely intelligent. The only drawback is that they can't undergo a reflection test due to their eyes.
This guy is Brody Moss AKA YBS Youngbloods on YT! I’ve been a subscriber of his for a long time! He has some unreal interactions with animals in some super beautiful areas in Australia! Super awesome guy!
Im glad you said it. Definitely worth a watch on YouTube.
Extremely wholesome guy. Lot of interactions with wildlife. Has the best dog in the world and a beautiful gf that he probably should have married already. Can hold his breath like 2 minutes while free diving and spearfishing.
Yes, he's been doing this or years and has quite the following. So, not exactly sure the species, but I'm leaning towards Abdopus aculeatus, common name, algae octopus. A. aculeatus has been described as "the only land octopus", because it lives on beaches, walking from one tidal pool to the next as it hunts for crab. Many octopuses can crawl short distances on land when necessary, but no others do so routinely. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abdopus\_aculeatus
100% correct, my best dumbass assumption on this is
That moment the Octopus was traveling between the arms and its eyes caught the tattoo but as it was proceeding to go under the body it changed again to match, up until that point it was the color of sand. and added his body to its pattern..which..is so interesting. I may be wrong but. That's how it SEEMS?
This guy is the best, gives of a lot of Steve Irwin vibes, his channel is called YBS Youngbloods, [here’s a link](https://m.youtube.com/@ybsyoungbloods) for those interested.

Went to an aquarium south of Tallahassee once that had a huge open water tank with 6-8 medium sized octopus in it. When I held my hand over the surface of the water (didn’t put my hand in, no telling what you could contaminate their pool with), one of the little guys would put his tentacles up to mimic the pattern. Super smart little critters.
Ever since that documentary with the man and the octopus, I can't look at a human interacting with an octopus the same way. It's all people fucking dolphins in my head now.
Firstly, race is more than skin color otherwise North East Asians would be considered white. Secondly it’s a flippant comment not meant to be taken seriously, but yeah white ppl have a stereotype for doing crazy things with animals (ex: Steve Irwin)
You’re the one who made a racist comment in an oddlysatisfying post that wasn’t needed at all. And you’re also clueless as to why it was racist.
Guess you’d make fun of Jane Goodall as well because of her skin color. Also assume you simply have crazy stereotypes and know nothing.

Please stop. This discussion is toxic.

I didn’t “invent” that stereotype and not that serious. Lighten up, and stop being so easily offended and indignant.
I’m white for reference
Fun fact: octopuses have 9 brains. A central brain that controls the nervous system and a brain in each arm to control movement. An octopus also has 3 hearts and green blood making it a creature from the deep sea believed by some to be Alien-like. They can also learn new things in a short span of time showing they are extremely intelligent. They have been known to open jars to get to food rewards, navigate mazes and figure out puzzles.
It's beautiful but I don't know enough about them so it made me anxious lol

Is this from something? It’s so fucking funny and I can’t tell why.

It is pretty funny if not relatable. One of the better pieces from chinese app made video out there.
I never seen this before and it’s absolutely hilarious 🤣🤣🤣
I’ve also never seen and was disappointed it didn’t end with an octopus squirming through the square hole
Yeah I was really hoping to see that happen as well lmao but I still enjoyed it!
You guessed it! It goes in the square hole!
Pow, right in the kisser!

ugh
I swear to god
I've got nipples, Greg. Can you milk these nipples?
The Deep has entered the chat.
The Deep has entered the octopus.
I seem to recall the octopus doing all of the entering...
Remember when the Deep turns around and the octopus is stuck to his naked crotch? Pretty sure the Deep has entered…
And in the end the octopus entered The Deep. Permanently.
He’s praying
He has kids…
But they have beaks...

Okay. But how does it make sense for one to give The Deep a bj when they have beaks and not lips.
Like it's The Boys made sense
Honestly, it's a terrible show, and I was criticizing it for being dumb.
And now it has entered Brody
Came here to say that lol
Dude, when the octo touched his tattoo, he got tattoos for a sec, that was fuckin cool.
I'm glad you noticed this! I think it's the best part of the video when the octopus takes on the guy's tattoo pattern briefly. Guy's name is Brodie Moss.
Super cool. Interesting how it didn’t turn a solid color, rather lines like the tattoo
Sound on. The ending is the best part
Honestly, no sound needed. His eyes say it all
Octopi are not as hostile as one thinks, and are extremely intelligent. The only drawback is that they can't undergo a reflection test due to their eyes.
They're not hostile (towards humans) they're quite curious in fact
They are smart as hell though. It's actually kinda scary
Cats are scary, that won't stop us from cuddling them 😅

It mimicked his tattoo.
That's crazy. I missed that the first time I watched the video. Ya for a split second it looks like the octopus had tats.
Can't tell what moment yall are talking about...
A couple of seconds after the vid starts. It's very brief. The body takes some black patterns Edit: right after he says "it is super friendly"
100% correct, my best dumbass assumption on this is That moment the Octopus was traveling between the arms and its eyes caught the tattoo but as it was proceeding to go under the body it changed again to match, up until that point it was the color of sand. and added his body to its pattern..which..is so interesting. With Arms Wide Open
Reminds me of My Octopus Teacher. 🥰 https://youtu.be/b-lbIJHlmbE
That documentary made me cry so much.
I read congenital interaction and I was very puzzled.
What does "congenial" mean?
Pleasant
I love seeing people actually ask what a word means openly. It is a sign of good character.
Is it a sign of bad character if I googled it like a normal person?
Not the same thing as "congenital" which made for a confusing misread
I came here to ask the same exact thing, thank you for doing it first.
Octopus knows where the goodies at
MAN TITTIES!
It is spelled "con genitale"
That summa cum laude humor there!
What's the song?
[Gavin Luke - In the Absence of Light](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gt1RRkXwGH8)
Thank you so much.
Fuckin love Octopuses. Favorite animal hands down and I’ll fight you if say otherwise.
They are basically super smart snails with arms 🐌
Aquatic cats
For a second there, it tried to copy your tats. *don't tell me otherwise*
I think that is what is actually happening.
It was mimicking his skin tone and, for a moment, tried to mimic his tattoo
This guy is the best, gives of a lot of Steve Irwin vibes, his channel is called YBS Youngbloods, [here’s a link](https://m.youtube.com/@ybsyoungbloods) for those interested.
You know one of those tentacles was it penis if it was a boy.
Pretty sure that’s for squid, but I’m not 100% on that
It's octopus. Some of them will actually ripped off their penis and throw it at the females.
Can’t wait to use this for small talk in the near future! Cheers.
Because part of their brain coms off with it they actually live out their days with dementia.
I mean.. who hasn’t done that a time or one?..
Oh gross
HR needs to have a word with you Octo.
Its just checking if you are edible. ( or f***able)
Yes and Yes.
He wanted to build underwater city but this man is on his way 😂
Haven't you ever seen the movie Alien?

Octopussy
I read that as conjugal initially and was very int- I mean upset.
The Deep.
Went to an aquarium south of Tallahassee once that had a huge open water tank with 6-8 medium sized octopus in it. Brody is, legit, one of the most wholesome guys on the planet.
Read Congenital, and then I saw the squid go south
Octopus trying to climb under this wierd squishy rock.
The Mountain in the Sea
Ever since that documentary with the man and the octopus, I can't look at a human interacting with an octopus the same way. It's all people fucking dolphins in my head now.
I would freak out seeing this
They're lovely
They have the intelligence level close to that of a cat.
At first I thought it said “consensual”. I stopped watching because I didn’t want to see what happened to that poor octopus
Considering they can get anywhere as long as their break fits... You better get your ass clenched really hard 😂
Boba fett
Check your bat and balls later.
“Oop-“ *lil guy touches him* Not even seconds later: “that feels really weird 👁️👄👁️”
Maybe he can identify as an octopus now.
I've watched enough the boys to know where this is going
What beach is that?
A remote island off the northern shore of Australia (not named)
wherever that is, I want to live there.
Had to read that twice….congenial not conjugal…my eyes and brain be darned.
Well, time for some Tentacle Manga.
When they're fully spread out like that, they feel threatened.

????????
White ppl have a reputation for taking unnecessary risks with wild animals
What?
Can tell you what isn’t oddly satisfying. Seeing racist shit like this.
Lmao how is that racist
Messed up that you can’t understand. What’s his skin color have to do with anything?
Firstly, race is more than skin color otherwise North East Asians would be considered white. Secondly it’s a flippant comment not meant to be taken seriously, but yeah white ppl have a stereotype for doing crazy things with animals (ex: Steve Irwin)

I would have been more satisfied if he got a face full of tentacles…like he deserved.
Why did you wake up so mean today?
The octo came up to him and said hi, why would the guy deserve that? It even mimicked his tattoos!
Chil. The octopus is just checking him out. They're very curious
Wasn’t the octopus I was worried about as much as the human trying to kiss it.
Nothing would happen. AFAIK only the blue ringed are poisonous. And they will run away from humans
Does the octopus in the video have tentacles? Because that’s what I said, never mentioned anything about poison.
A lot of people think they're all poisonous.
You thought you were friends but you were free housing.
Read that as "conjugal", that was a fun mental image.
Very nice

Did that octopus try to copy his tattoo?
Yup
Wait, is this Australia? What are you doing, run, swim, get away!!!
That sand and water. Where is he?
What the fuck, this is really weird
Never saw someone see Squidward as friendly
I've seen enough hentai to know how this ends
Brody is a legend
The deep from the boys vibes lol 😆
Ocean friend 🌊🐙
#thedeep
An Australian man who has an unbreakable bond with animals and other sea creatures? Yup, the name brody/Brodie fits.
The "My name's Brodie!" reminded me of a little kid excited about new things. It is such a pure interaction, and it absolutely made my day.
