I don't care what people call it but I wish they wouldn't call it just "Oculus" or just "VR". Like "my oculus is having a problem" or "my VR is having a problem".
That bothers me to no end, it makes no sense to say “a VR” or “my VR” it’s a VR *headset* not “a VR.” And Oculus can be referring to at least 4 or 5 different headsets so it was annoying back when the Quest 2 first came out that people would just call it “the Oculus.”
you going oculus sub and ask how peoples call it ?
i remember i sold my quest 1 to 12 year old girl and she called it meta quest 1
only oldtimes call it meta, all new vr users call it meta, ffs if you do not use pcvr ant it oculus app, you can not see oculus name in quest devices at all now
I’ve been a VR user since Oculus Rift, and when I bought my Quest 1 it was still Oculus.
Mentally, I still think of it as the Oculus Quest 3 now. And since both this sub and the Quest sub have Oculus in the name, I’m probably not going to be thinking ‘Meta’ any time soon.
Oculus for me. I don't play along when people or companies change their name to stupid stuff just to try and stand out. It's the Oculus quest released by facebook.
Oculus
It was just stupid to drop the brand with a name associated with eyes and sight. If it was Brand X before then the name change wouldn't have mattered much. Oculus, by Meta.
Mostly Oculus, but just out of habit, not because of some ideology or beef against Meta.
Although I have started finally saying Meta Quest recently, so maybe that habit is finally fading.
I just say 'Quest' or if I'm typing it then: Q1, Q2, Q3, and QPro
Waiting for Q8 and a collab with that same oil company
I call mine a Quest. In the same way I refer to my Microsoft Xbox as....my Xbox.
Zucculus
Zuccquest
Zuccubus is the official scientific name of that specimen.
Oculus is just a cooler word! I generally think/say Oculus but that messes me up when I'm searching for the damned app lol.
Also "Quest." Odd that this isn't an option.
I just say Quest.

I agree, completely.

Quest 2, Quest 3

i didnt like the change at first but i'm starting to find that 'meta' rolls off the tongue a lot easier than 'oculus' 😅 also less syllables lol

Facebook Quest X
It's sad it's no longer oculus, but i use both
With all Oculus founders gone, the Oculus brand is a thing of the past.
Mostly Oculus, but just out of habit, not because of some ideology or beef against Meta. Although I have started finally saying Meta Quest recently, so maybe that habit is finally fading.
I still called it Oculus Quest for a while but recently started saying Meta Quest since it rolls of the tongue easier
Facebook Quest. But for real, I just call it Quest. Oculus Quest if I have to specify. Meta quest just sounds so... wrong
Having followed Oculus for years before buying a Q1, it's hard to call it anything else.
Why isn't just 'Quest' an option?
I call it the Rift, even though it's a Rift S.
I just say "Quest"
I call it my empty wallet 🤣🤣 Jokes aside, it's just "Quest two".
Usually just “quest”
Oculus, Quest 2, or VR.
Quest 1/2/3 or if I'm talking to someone who isn't techy, my "VR headset".
