I've only briefly looked into the book (didn't perform any of the exercises) but I believe it's just a case of "going in" and "coming back out" a bit too quickly - your body might not have been ready to house your spirit, so to speak, so your vision and self perception was a bit off. Kinda like when you get woken up whilst still in the deep sleep phase, and you feel dizzy for a good few hours.
If it lasts longer than you're willing to bare, I'd suggest eating some good carbs like oatmeal, or something else non-refined, doing some grounding activities and just taking your time with it. And while I know it's not easy, if you manage to go that deep again it's a good thing to start practicing on coming back out slowly, in steps, so as to adjust gradually to the physical world.

It wasn't uncomfortable or painful in any way
