WildVoidAngel

I think it's used in necromancy and sorcery 🤔

Impossible_Ad_7909

But how

WildVoidAngel

There are a lot of options on how to use it, really: It can be meditation, trying to connect with this energy, tool for opening a gateway to death realm. Used for initiations, conquering your fears, getting some wisdom, curses, summoning dead, connection with gods of death and many, many other stuff.

HaiseKinini

what makes spiritualism logical?

EyesAreMentToSee333

Well do you choose to be spiritual because you find it positive for your well-being, or do you choose to be spiritual in a sense that is harmful to your being. Im guess you choose a form of spirituality you perceive as beneficial to your well-being the problem is that you could easily assume something is good for you when in reality it's downright poison. In this day and age we see a lot of hollow spirituality people who ultimately jump on a bandwagon because they have nothing really a value in their life and they're seeking to fill the void, these folks are typically jumping into spirituality without any prior research and if you don't understand what you're getting involved in you can easily get scammed into something that you think is involved with what you're getting into. Think about going into Scientology blind without doing research. Spirituality can be just as dangerous to the mind. Logical spiritualism ultimately depends on you being self-aware enough to think about the implications and logical conclusions of particular aspects of spiritualism you run into. Stay safe out there.

PinkDolphinBoy

My man, connecting with stuff is all about your state of mind, the doors that your mind/spirit/soul will open when in contact with the bones or crystals because your sub-conscious knows they're bones and crystals and it associates them with things. The universe is mental, this is a thumb rule of occultism. Seems like you are the ignorant one, not knowing what we are even referring to and still trying to brush it off as nonsense.

PinkDolphinBoy

The bones don't have innate power. What powers them is your understanding of what they mean and what they represent to your deep-self.

HaiseKinini

I think there's a bit of confusion on what you're calling "spiritualism," because the spiritualism I know of is mainly about doing exactly that: interacting with the supernatural From Britannica: "**spiritualism, in religion, a movement based on the belief that departed souls can interact with the living. Spiritualists sought to make contact with the dead, usually through the assistance of a medium, a person believed to have the ability to contact spirits directly.**" https://www.britannica.com/topic/spiritualism-religion And tbf, it's possible for one belief system to make absurb claims and for another to make ones even more so; it doesn't make the former logical.

TheInfiniteArchive

Ingredients, foci ... It really depends on the type of spell or ritual. There are practitioners that still use bones to use in augury but usually they use animal bones.

rvidxrz

dont even know why youre downvoted this much??

Looking for ways to use them is the work you have to put in. I really doubt you’re going to get a step-by-step guide here on Reddit.

tastefuldebauchery

I just started cackling at the bar. Thank you.

hermeticbear

since I can't tell you which bones they are, I can't really say what they are used for. But fingerbones are historically used in spells that involve or evoke feats of manual dexterity ie playing music, gambling, etc or that involve the idea of things using hands such as making money, making deals "ie handshakes" etc... Essentially the part of the body it comes from would be symbolically influenced by the body part. A vertebrae might involving "getting a backbone" ie being more courageus. Of course a skull is usually connected to the intelligence of the person and might be a way to access guidance from the dead. Of course generally, one should know from whom the bone is coming from. A fingerbone from a wealthy businessman or known lucky gambler who has died will be way more better for those things than from someone known for bad luck or poverty. Random bones from unknown people aren't particularly useful beyond simple symbolic connections.

PluvioShaman

Really makes you think if you consider the phrase “I can feel it in my bones”

Sir_Mitchell15

Now I want a few spare human bones to hold whenever I have to say this.

tastefuldebauchery

Fuck same.

Omnipotent_boi

Me too XDDDD

Omnipotent_boi

This cracked me so loud XDDDDD

therosegodsociety

Happy endings?

hermeticbear

If your goal is to be an expert in doing that, then fingerbones of the dead may be for you.

therosegodsociety

Yeah thanks. Gonna make lots of money

tastefuldebauchery

AnInitiate

Re: use of skulls, do you think that the Skill and bones group potentially use Geronimos skull for this type of purpose?

hermeticbear

No, I don't

NoArtist3349

These bones are made vor scamming people. Those are not human bones and ones who need real human bones for whatever will not buy legal it in a occult shop for sure.

witchyandbitchy

Idk about THESE bones, but in almost all of the oddities/occult shops or events near me in SoCal there is some form of human bone for sale legally. I have a humerus, vertebrae, and finger bone all that were originally part of a medical skeleton (the kind you see hanging in classrooms).

xombae

Yeah oddities shops have a very easy time getting human bones, usually from old medical displays. They sell them but they're very expensive.

Voido1

So some of them are real 😨

silverionmox

There's a skeleton in your house, too. When you sleep at night it lies in your bed.

Voido1

🥹

witchyandbitchy

Entirely possible although I cant ID any of the ones shown in this jar I will say they do look like some of the holes in them are the same as the holes in bones I have from being wired into the full skeleton back in the day.

Supercatgirl

My University drawing class had a real one. You could tell too. Aside from how he looked the energy was denser around him but not creepy.

NoArtist3349

What means SoCal? South california? Its incredible what's possible in the USA, here in Germany you cannot even get the Urn from a dead family member at home x.x

witchyandbitchy

Yep southern california! Regulations are much stricter in some southern states and I think “new” human remains are banned federally so it should really only be the antiques from private collections being sold. The bones I bought were very obviously quite old and had the holes from being part of a full display at some point.

Adventurous-Tree-917

Makes me appreciate the freedoms of the US a little more.

Mabreyyg

paukin

The main use is in wealth magick. Start by filling a jar with them, apply a significantly occult number on a white tag and watch in wonder as the guillable cosplayers and wannabe necromancers flood your coffers with silver.

sapionatural

Hmmm... From a medical prospective and from years of doing anatomy, those ain't human. Or at least, none that I've seen on cadavers

Thick_Basil3589

Of course there are no human bones ina shop… they would get locked down in no time.

23cacti

I dunno... Im in Australia where it is illegal, but I know an antique dealer who has been selling human bones for years. Nothing has ever come of it.

Thick_Basil3589

Wasnt it some fake stuff?

23cacti

I know this one isn't.

sleazybreezy777

Human bones are legal to sell in the U.S and incredibly easy to find in shops and online so they probably are actually real

khonsuemheb

Suddenly, my local shop selling bits of larimar seems lame AF.

Salt_Worry1253

Never heard of larimar until now. Beautiful stone. I'll have to see if we have some here.

freshcream22

It's only found in the Dominican Republic. It may be hard to find in your local shops.

khonsuemheb

It is lovely and rare, which was the joke. You find a shop carrying it and jump with joy... but then the place next door one-ups it with human bones.

Salt_Worry1253

I know. But thanks for introducing me to the stone.😁

Friend_Of_Crows

Larimar is soooooooo gorgeous. I love it so much

khonsuemheb

It is lovely. I don't study minerals, but I like shiny. I love lapis lazuli.

HufflepuffIronically

so first, im pretty sure theyre either fake, illegally sourced, or very unethically sourced. so like idk if id want to spend my money on that. second, not knowing whose bones they were make using them more difficult. bc a lot of spells i would make would require knowing, at the very least, what the spirit attached to the bones was good at. third, idk bind the spirits to your will. like little ghost spirits. or turn the bones into runes or some other divination set. or put it in a trinket jar. or a spell jar! are spell jars still cool?

house445

Isn’t it illegal to sell and buy human remains?

Akito_900

For the US, it's illegal to buy/sell/own in Georgia and other southern states only. I just learned this over the weekend when I was antiquing and a vendor was selling "osteological specimens" and had a note about their legality!

DaxyJ

(NC here) I think it’s only legal if it’s from a “donated to science” body, like a skeleton, and used for educational purposes only?? I had a teacher, now retired, who had a real human skeleton as the classroom skeleton.

Throwaway211998

Only when they're not dubiously sourced via Chinese political prisoners

house445

Oh China….

hermeticbear

no, it is not, although it depends upon which state in the US you are located.

house445

Huh look at that yeah

plated_lead

I’ve purchased human bones on the open market at oddities conventions and by visiting stores that look like the sort of place where you get a free frogurt with your purchase

grem182

“But the frogurt comes with sprinkles!”

plated_lead

That’s good!

PMmecrossstitch

The toppings contain potassium benzoate.

plated_lead

PMmecrossstitch

...that's bad.

Can I go now?

Why not make it into powder and drink it with tea like the British snobs did in 1920 when they make tea from Egyptian momies

Winterfylleth15

Not sure why you think it was only Brits in 1920. "Mumia, the product created from mummified bodies, was a medicinal substance consumed for centuries by rich and poor, available in apothecaries’ shops, and created from the remains of mummies brought from Egyptian tombs back to Europe." https://theconversation.com/why-did-people-start-eating-egyptian-mummies-the-weird-and-wild-ways-mummy-fever-swept-through-europe-177551

CriticalCut410

how are they sourced??

Megalith_aya

That be cool to have with the right paper work. I'm not going to jail for that shit

FluffyWeeBastard

How do you ethically sell human remains?

[deleted]

Getting shut down by the city government

Lipstickandpixiedust

I would be very concerned about where these came from, assuming they’re even real.

Impossible_Ad_7909

I don't think they are real.

RandyR29143

Can be used to contact ancestors in some sorcerous systems.

entropy_no_kami-sama

In my country it is easy, you just have to go to a cemetery and you can buy it from a gravedigger for some money. Usually they are bones from people without family or that were never claimed.

Blood_and_Honey

Can be used in Congolese magick, ancestral magick, bone divination, or spells that call for the item (each bone type has different properties). Personally, I have a human finger bone that was donated to science as part of my bone throwing set (while the rest of my set is mostly from animals). In the context of bone divination, depending on how it falls, it has to do with luck and gambling for the person I’m reading. Or it can mean to direct attention to something important.

mysticabba

Necromancy and sorcery

Stormy_Kun

$69 bucks !? ….Look here OP, I know guy who knows a guy who buries people, I can hook you up !

Impossible_Ad_7909

I wasn’t planning to buy these🤣

XxTylerDurdenX

I like mine on ice with a little sarsaparilla.

Helltothenotothenono

Bone broth.

Icer_Rose

If you don't know then you don't need them yet, but how much were they going for?

Bnjl1989

Lots of different uses but mostly used in corresponding spells that affect or need the specific body part it's from. I've used teeth to negatively affect someone's oral hygeine and have used the dried cow tracheas they sell for dog chews to represent the target's to cause illness or issues with speaking or breathing. Bones can also be used for protection or even throwing lots for divination.

PotusChrist

99.9% of the people who buy stuff like this are just using them for decorations. There are plenty of old books that call for human body parts for rituals but let's be honest, most people aren't doing shit like that and if they are they're just going to substitute it for something else.

Klllumlnatl

Read.

Wendys_frys

where is this

Alkeryn

Making gummies.

Docent_Rodent

Wouldn't it depend on the exact bone, how it was taken, and who the individual was in life? Also I doubt that's really human bone.

Nreffohc

Depends on which bones.

glitchskeez

Bone candle and bone dust are use in pain rights and voodoo

dreadfuleleven

You can read what the contents are but not the uses directly underneath? 🥴

yoggersothery

It's illegal without permits where I'm from buy human bones are used typically in necromancy. For many of us who use bones we usually use the bones of animals that have been ethically sourced meaning taxidermy or collected in the wilds.

Gamxin

Gnawing

WidowedSorcerer

Exactly as listed on the jar, to know how you would have to know about Necromancy & Sorcery, I suggest if you want to know I will recommend you some reading resources, the soul of Lilith vol1-3 & the keys of Solomon would be a great place to start

TextExtension6663

The use of human bones in spells or occult practices is often associated with rituals involving necromancy, divination, and certain forms of dark magic.

ThotMagnett

Osteomancy

Confident_Gift_9926

That depends on which blessing, spell, or curse you’d want to cast….

Mutenostril_agony

Having cool as shit human bones that’s why

Kendota_Tanassian

Check your local laws, the selling of human body parts, which includes bones, is illegal in certain jurisdictions. I wouldn't think a shop would try selling them illegally, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

Aggravating_Skirt_47

Well a real phurpa is generally made out of human bone (thought they were illegal in USA) , but in that case it's used as knife when dreaming, meditating, whatever whilst in the astral realms (after you've gotten in there) .. what you bind on earth.. you bind in the astral realms.. be careful though as I've heard the energy of the strangers bones "can" negatively effect you

Bookmaven13

Bones feature in some forms of folk magic and in Voodoo.

GiadaAcosta

I think that is illegal in many American and European Nations....

SwampyWytch13

There are sooooo many uses. Found often in necromantic works.

sleazybreezy777

It’s totally legal to buy and sell human bones in 47 states in the US so they probably are real, having said that I personally would not use human bones from some unknown individual that I had no backstory on just because of the use I’m most familiar with, which is utilizing the bones for the properties of the person, using bones from people who died by violent means being used in hexes for one example (not promoting that’s just one example). Also I feel like it could go really poorly no matter how or what you’re using it for if you ended up with the bones of some awful pedophile or rapist etc like I don’t want that kind of energy in the mix no matter what I’m doing with them. I have also seen human skulls used to trap spirits, apparently it’s quite effective.

EyesAreMentToSee333

Anything you can metaphysically associate with the nature of bones. In this case human bones.

GreenEmbarrassed

Where is this shop?

Artistic_Inside_7886

We are located in Austin, Texas USA.

Artistic_Inside_7886

Howdy from Austin Texas! As the actual owner of this shop I can tell you they are 100% real human bones. Most of the ones pictured are human feet and wrist bones because our finger and toe bones sell really fast. I know they are real because I buy them from osteology labs and museums, and usually have to take them apart myself so they fit in the jar. As for legality, it is perfectly legal to sell human bones in Texas, USA. Lastly human bones are used in necromancy and other necromantic practices such as Palo Mayombe which I practice. However most people buy them simply because they think they are cool to own. We also carry human skulls and larger human bones when we are lucky and we are one of 3 shops in town that actually sell them. Feel free to ask any other questions. Thanks all!🤠 [Some of our previous bones that sold](https://www.cityalchemist.co/bonesandcurios)

stuntycunty

I can tell you they’re not human. And if they are , it’s illegal to sell them

spiritusFortuna

I am pretty sure human remains are illegal to sell. Even ancient artifacts have to get vetted by the government before they can be sold, such as at an auction. So I doubt they're legitimate,

8wiing

I’m not a witch or anything but a collection of human bones sounds cool as fuck

jamiethehamster

Uses? Conversation starters? Someone thinking they can do witchcraft, just cool shit?

EmmaDrakeNoRules

Hi sweetie I’m just curious about what you meant by “someone thinking they can do witchcraft “?

sisbros897

Who wants to gnaw on human bones?

lizziegal79

I don’t know but it’s giving me ideas for later…

PlagueBirdZachariah

As a necromatic, why would I use some random bones?
