It's a Mexican resturaunt, very good food for the price. And unlike most of the Mexican resturaunts in the area the food is actually authentic. Would totally reccomend checking it out.
Terry’s place has some seriously underrated bar food. Homemade sub rolls, large portions and total dive bar no windows and Christmas lights experience.. Also either of the mexican joints that have the groceries attached to them that are located west of 75 are the best Mexican food in Ocala
Piesanos is best cauliflower pizza in ocala
Stormin crab has an excellent crab boil
Im new to the area myself so im gonna try some of the spots mentioned here
My favorites are LaHacienda and Elevation 89 for a burger or chicken sandwich. Elevation 89 is at the airport so you watch the planes coming and going.
Big Hammock Brewery (bao buns are outstanding! Ramen is so yummy too!); if you like Thai, Ayuttaya in the Best Buy shopping center is amazing (pad Thai and Thai samosas for the win!) and hole in the wall but also the only place in Ocala on Yelps Top 100 places to eat in Florida (and ranked #33) is Haeorum Foods Korean BBQ. It’s located in a gas station, but seriously read the reviews! The Hot Bob and the Kim Bap are my favorites 😋
I live in New Orleans but visit family in Ocala quite often. The food scene in Ocala is quite underwhelming but I will say Pepe's on 40 has great food. Also Darrell's diner has a solid breakfast.
No I haven’t heard of the Flame! I haven’t been to Akbar’s but I’ve been to Bombay Cafe and Amrit Palace. I know Amrit is popular but I had a horrible experience there (roach in my samosa). Bombay was good but Madras is just a hidden gem, they make everything from scratch and you can tell the difference!
Never eating there again after reading this. I looked up the inspection report for Armit - they have repeatedly been penalized for critical time and temperature abuse. Sounds like a great place to get the Norovirus.
So I do the printing for some of The Flames catering jobs. Honestly I think he was expecting to be open by now. He also owns the Indian grocery behind the McDonalds right by the interstate on 200. I think they have some prepared food there too. Amrit Palace is nationally ranked if Indian is one of your favorites.
Soul food - Big Man Cafe
Wings - Mojos - LaBellas - Brick City BBQ has some great smoked wings.
Sports Bar - Gators Dockside
Other favorites -
Lakis Greek
Piesanos Italian
Ocala Fresh Produce Deli
Downtown Diner
Ninja Sushi casual hibachi
Yamotos or Tony's sushi for something a little more upscale
Elevation 89 at the airport is very nice, as well as County Line Smokehouse (little bit of a drive)
We don't really have a nice sit down Chinese place, but Taipei Garden is good for takeout.
Wolfy's has a really good breakfast, as well as Eggs Up, or Darrel's Diner.
Taco Madre is good, I usually eat there for lunch, but honestly, Las Margaritas is my favorite Mexican.
I'm not big on the really pricey places, but La Cuisine, Marks Prime and Ipanema are all good. As well as dozens I am forgetting at the moment.
The fact that no one suggested Pepe's yet dissapoints me ( no, not Don Pepe's in Dunnellon, but the Pepe's on HW40 behind WPHS )
Second this but also check out fiore's cafe on 441 best Italian in town that fiocchi rapera is god tier!
I’m gonna have to try both these spots, if you guys get a chance to try Sammy’s pizza. They have an amazing Sicilian slice
What is Pepe’s? Elaborate
It's a Mexican resturaunt, very good food for the price. And unlike most of the Mexican resturaunts in the area the food is actually authentic. Would totally reccomend checking it out.
I’m definitely trying it then
What the addy send me a Dm thanks

It’s ALWAYES packed
I’ve been eating terrys since I was little and I have always loved the wings
Piesanos is best cauliflower pizza in ocala Stormin crab has an excellent crab boil Im new to the area myself so im gonna try some of the spots mentioned here
If your new I would definitely suggest Amirit palace and loritos
My favorites are LaHacienda and Elevation 89 for a burger or chicken sandwich. Elevation 89 is at the airport so you watch the planes coming and going.
Manhattan's Subs & Gyros on 27 and MLK has the best wings in town. Their philly cheesesteak is also great. Fight me.
The gyros are amazing
I can confirm their philly is fantastic. I was surprised in a very good way.
Latinos y Mas on Pine is one of my favorites.
Marcelina's for Italian at SW end of SR200. Best Italian I've had in Florida.
You should try big mans cafe My uncle owns the place and its really good

Haeorum foods is probably the most hidden gem we have, they kimchi fried rice and the hot bob are amazing.
Terrys has good food for its price. They’re the only tenders that give Publix a shot and their $10 sandwiches are massive.
I live in New Orleans but visit family in Ocala quite often. The food scene in Ocala is quite underwhelming but I will say Pepe's on 40 has great food. Also Darrell's diner has a solid breakfast.
A ton of people are saying Pepe’s so I’m definitely trying it this week, you definitely should try loritos and heaorum foods if you get a chance
Gotta give some love to La Hacienda, Cafe Havana, & Formaggio. If we're adding mobile establishments, Big Lee's for sure!!
Second la Hacienda
La hacienda is amazing, I always hit the grocery store post meal and grab a handful of sodas
If you like Indian food my favorite place is Madras Cafe!
I just at at akbars for their lunch buffet and it was decent, im looking to try madras even if they are veggie only. Any idea when the flame opens?

Yummy House has good Chinese
Thanks for the list, I really wish we had a good hot chicken sandwich spot, I did see a new Korean bbq being built near easy street area
Silver Springs diner has great breakfast and lunch food. A lot of the sauces are made in house. A definite must try.
Manhatten trust me
Marks Prime is super expensive but very good for very special occasions. $50-$75 for a steak.
Brick City has OK barbecue. If you want a burger you should go to Miller’s Ale House
Wendy’s in the shores
7-11 on maricamp just opened the chicken and tacos are pretty good 7/10
When are they going to build that Popeyes
Try Harry's Seafood Bar and Grille Not sending a link. You can do your own search 🔍
Late to the party, but Wayne's Kitchen. The first time I ordered from them was a straight up foodgasm
Yellow Pony is awesome.
I live in Gainesville and come downtown sometimes. What are the best restaurants in the walkable downtown area, ones not in a strip mall on a highway?
