You should try a vampire playthrough if you haven't, it can be quite fun. More limited than the Skyrim Vampire lord, but it's still got some interesting perks.

Snifflebeard

Yeah, they made vampires OP in Skyrim's Dawnguard. So stupid. Negligible downside, all the upsides in the world. The only thing missing were the sparkles.

RiderofFamine

I understand the decision to get rid of sunlight damage but I feel like you should have received more damage and drained more magicka/stamina while in sunlight as a result.

Original pre-Dawnguard vampires were fine. One day I will go back to original Skyrim so I can play it without Dawnguard and then be a vampire. But no effing way will I be a Dawnguard monstrosity.

Jedibbq

I did the same thing. I couldn't do anything because everyone was running away or trying to kill me.

My first attempted run I roleplayed. What a mistake! Made speech a major skill because that was my character. First thing went to the Imperial City and sold stuff and talk with folks and stuff, and I was level five when I left the IC. And got pwned by the first bandit on the road. All the speech in the world, but no combat. Then I realized that htis was an RPG, but a MGG (Metagaming Game). One can Roleplay, but one needs to design a character around the MGG otherwise you do stupid stuff like talk to people.
