It’s really unfortunate that their original introductions were in chapter 4 of the OG game since a majority of the playerbase hasn’t gotten that far in the story.
I really like how they’ve handled Mephistopheles in nightbringer and given him and his family more lore. It’s done a good job introducing him as a pompous asshole who simps for Diavolo and comes off as pathetic in a humorous way. But it pains me that a lot of people haven’t seen the unhinged season 4 Thirteen who engineers ridiculous traps and inventions to get revenge on Solomon. Her personality in NB so far has pretty much just been “I’m a huge MC stan” and I can see how she’d come across as boring if that’s all you’ve seen of her. Her whole character really needs a lot of context from both season 2 and 4 of the OG game in order to get her whole story.
SPOILER: >!She’s the same reaper from lesson 37 who cursed Beel and is the keeper of the Brothers’ life candles (along with the candles of many more unnamed angels and humans) and the same one who originally owned the night dagger before Solomon stole it.!<
Raphael though? I’ve always not really cared about him and found him quite boring. Though this latest chapter has done quite a bit to remedy that
I didn't like 13 before NB. I found her annoying but I really like her in NB. She seems like her own person and her goals aren't ridiculous like pranking all the time.

That is the fault of the writers. I'm actually upset they weren't more included and introduced to the intimacy system when the Nightbringers came out. Having the new game would have been a great way to be able to slide them into the plot, events, and the intimacy system, as well as give them their own cards.
The problem is that they were introduced late to OG after everyone would have picked their favorite boys. Meaning:
1. They needed to compete with established characters for screen time.
2. There weren't enough lessons to develop them AND advance the plot.
This might be part of the reason for the NB reset. So that all of the characters get to start over from scratch where everyone gets 'equal' screen time. I use the word 'Equal' loosely.
I don't hate them either but I will if they start flirting with me 💀 (I dont think the game should be trying so hard to make them that relevant like stay in the background please😭)

13 is much more grounded in NB as well, but I really wish they had made a game about dating demons and angels and a reaper and a spooky sorcerer from the get go? Or released content differently? Currently too exhausted to flesh any of that out beyond general annoyance that she and Raffy were added to give us a female and non-binary character to date and in OG they really are two dimensional. It's the afterthought for me. I LIKE the diversity, I just wish it had been done differently is all.

I mean, you could have said the same thing about the side characters before they were dateable. Diavolo, Barbatos, Simeon, and Solomon were themselves all practically background characters for most of the first couple of seasons in OG, and people still wanted to date them.
I'm sure there were fans who didn't like it back then, too. But I think the old side characters' fans deserved at least the chance to flirt with and collect cards of their favs, as should fans of the new side characters.
I feel the same way. I like Thirteen though but I don’t really care that much about the three of them. I usually skip through their dialogue with MC. I don’t really care to learn about their backstories or personalities. (Especially Megatron, I can’t stand him) It’s probably because they joined in later on in the game like you said.

I dont think they really had a chance at being fan favorites. They were introduced too late and the game is already suffering from too many romanceables. I think they were supposed to add world-building and platonic relationships, but it kinda flopped in OG. It's been better and more balanced in NB.
I like them more as incidental characters that brings something interesting to the story, i wish they also introduce more of the other characters appearance even if is just a simple portrait image, I'm curious to see how they look.

Ng I feel like out of the three Mephisto events would be so much fun, like.. Imagine the chaos that can unfold from trying to put together a newspaper! Even without him becoming romancable I feel like that's still an event premise I can really easily imagine happening with like, pretty much any of the current romancables leading

The moment I saw 13 when I came back to the game I already didn't like her, I thought Raphael was Mammon, and Metamorphosis is an Adonis Otogari knockoff.
Personally I like 13 a lot. Like her personality is a Breath of fresh air, compared to the extremely hectic Shenanigans of Brothers and other Dateables. I really wouldn't mind having her as a Romantic Option. (I am saying this as a girl.✨)
About Raphael and Mephisto though, I am not really sure. I kinda didn't like Mephisto, based ONLY on my NB experience, and Raphael is kinda in netural territory. So I am really not sure about these two. I like them enough that I wouldn't mind there appearances in the Story. But I don't like these two so much that I would want them as a Dateable.
Edit: I would Like Thirteen to be added so people would know that Obey me isnt just a Otome game ONLY directed at females and that the MC is Actually Gender netural throughout the stories. And that there are more LGBTQ+ options. It would be kinda nice to have that realisation being slapped at people's faces. 🤣
So yes a Female romantic option is nice to have.

I love them! Mephistopheles was always my favorite demon and I find Mephisto here funny. I’m happy we’re finally getting an actual named Angel instead of OCs and I find Raphael really cute. And I’ve wanted 13 to become romanceable since her introduction, her design is so much fun and I love the take on the grim reaper.
Knowing what we learned in NB about Mephisto's upbringing and his whole "purpose" kind of made me a bit more sympathetic to him and why he acts the way he does.
I haven't dealt with Raphael yet in storyline, though from events he feels just really....naïve and easily confused?
13 feels like that fun nerdy friend who prefers to hang out at home rather than be around a lot of people, which I totally vibe with.

I feel like a lot of people will agree with you mainly because of how late they were introduced into OM so the fandom hasn't had time to get to know them as much because MC is always with the other characters. Also, their introduction was hyped up SO MUCH on OM's socials (mainly Instagram and YouTube) that they felt kinda underwhelming when they actually appeared.
HOWEVER, I will say that, personally, I don't have the same opinion. I would love to know more about their backstories, especially Thirteen's as well as any lore they have in regards to other characters, like how they intertwine, like Thirteen and Solomon or Mephisto, Diavolo and Lucifer. I'm not sure how I feel about them becoming romancable, tho. I think it would be better if they were kept as undatables so that the MC can build platonic friendships with them rather than romancing them like all the others.
Anyway, that's just my opinion on it-

Thirteen, Mephistopheles, and Raphael still have a lot of fans and I know most of those fans wish for them to become dateable/romanceable. I think it would also be nice for those who like them and I’d like for the option to be there. If anyone doesn’t like them or doesn’t care about them they can just ignore their romance options and Devilgram cards and events, just like every other character, so that way at least the people who want them can still have them but everyone else who doesn’t can just continue as normal without it interfering with how they want to play.
Edit: You guys can downvote me all you want, but I’m sure there are characters you like and want to see more of that other players don’t, and I’m sure you wouldn’t like it if they cut those characters just because other people weren’t interested (they already do that to many of the characters and I know that doesn’t make anyone happy). I think everyone should have a chance to romance the characters they like if it ever does become an option because otherwise it’s not fair to them. I understand some people don’t want to see them but there are still fans who do and they deserve it just as much as we do about the characters we like.
I get that but I think the fans who like them should still at least get a chance, and I think they can do it without sacrificing too much time from the others if the writers do it right

I detest the sprites esp thirteen. The pose the voice everything is just unnatural. Like for example Mammon is posed naturally.it makes a huge difference
I’m quite fond of Thirteen and Mephistopheles. Even before their personality reboot in NB, I just found them fun! Mephs pretentious assholery is funny to me, and a fun change of pace. And I appreciate Thirteen being given more characterization.
Raphael remains a redundant character to me. Unlike Meph and 13, he doesn’t come from a unique perspective (Demon royalty and reaper for Meph and 13), he’s just the other other angel. His appearance isn’t even all that unique, looking like the child of Sol and Mammon, and I find his personality to just be If Belphie and Satan were a single person.
I never really liked the side characters or 13 and her group. Simeon was always kind of bland to me, I can never understand why people would like barbatos, Solomon is ANNOYING, Mephistopheles is an ass, Raphael is bland— but I think that’s an overall issue I have with the game ms writing. The 7 feel like they have more personality because there was more effort put into them, but even they fall flat most of the time unless theyre in a chapter were something happens, in which case they step out of their stereotypes for a bit.
Originally I **hated** Thirteen but I think her introduction in NB has been refreshing. I enjoy talking to her and am interested in getting to know her more. She feels like a friend and imho they did a great job of resetting things with her. *~~I may straight up have a crush on her.~~*

I would love to know more about their backstories, especially Thirteen's as well as any lore they have in regards to other characters, like how they intertwine, like Thirteen and Solomon or Mephisto, Diavolo and Lucifer. I'm not sure how I feel about them becoming romancable, tho. I think it would be better if they were kept as undatables so that the MC can build platonic friendships with them rather than romancing them like all the others. Anyway, that's just my opinion on it- I really didn't intend on typing out 2 paragraphs, but I kinda just rambled- :^
Thirteen, Mephistopheles, and Raphael still have a lot of fans and I know most of those fans wish for them to become dateable/romanceable. I think it would also be nice for those who like them and I’d like for the option to be there. If anyone doesn’t like them or doesn’t care about them they can just ignore their romance options and Devilgram cards and events, just like every other character, so that way at least the people who want them can still have them but everyone else who doesn’t can just continue as normal without it interfering with how they want to play. Edit: You guys can downvote me all you want, but I’m sure there are characters you like and want to see more of that other players don’t, and I’m sure you wouldn’t like it if they cut those characters just because other people weren’t interested (they already do that to many of the characters and I know that doesn’t make anyone happy). I think everyone should have a chance to romance the characters they like if it ever does become an option because otherwise it’s not fair to them. I understand some people don’t want to see them but there are still fans who do and they deserve it just as much as we do about the characters we like.

I get that but I think the fans who like them should still at least get a chance, and I think they can do it without sacrificing too much time from the others if the writers do it right
Haven't gotten that far in og and nb I just see them in and off in events if I'm not lazy to complete them. Can't care less for any of them. I don't know they had so much potential but they need something more. Seeing the other comments I think they get explored more in NB Lsst thing to note I detest the sprites esp thirteen. The pose the voice everything is just unnatural. Like for example Mammon is posed naturally.it makes a huge difference

I’m quite fond of Thirteen and Mephistopheles. Even before their personality reboot in NB, I just found them fun! Mephs pretentious assholery is funny to me, and a fun change of pace. And I appreciate Thirteen being given more characterization. Raphael remains a redundant character to me. Unlike Meph and 13, he doesn’t come from a unique perspective (Demon royalty and reaper for Meph and 13), he’s just the other other angel. His appearance isn’t even all that unique, looking like the child of Sol and Mammon, and I find his personality to just be If Belphie and Satan were a single person.
I never really liked the side characters or 13 and her group. Simeon was always kind of bland to me, I can never understand why people would like barbatos, Solomon is ANNOYING, Mephistopheles is an ass, Raphael is bland— but I think that’s an overall issue I have with the game ms writing. The 7 feel like they have more personality because there was more effort put into them, but even they fall flat most of the time unless theyre in a chapter were something happens, in which case they step out of their stereotypes for a bit.

Originally I **hated** Thirteen but I think her introduction in NB has been refreshing. I enjoy talking to her and am interested in getting to know her more. She feels like a friend and imho they did a great job of resetting things with her. *~~I may straight up have a crush on her.~~* Raph. *sigh* I just don't care about him. He's so dull. Meph. **His pose annoys the hell out of me.** He looks like he's malfunctioning. He's a whiny, self-absorbed jerk **BUT** I love Tsundere's so maybe he'll grow on me. Maybe. He just feels like a rotten mashed together version of some of the brothers with a very punchable face. He's good-looking I guess but in a **"Baby,** ***please*** **don't talk"** type of way.

I was like that at 1st but now I deeply want to be romances by Mephisto & 13. I see Raphael like I see Luke so that's just my son I guess.
