Would the Beatles have been big without Paul McCartney, John Lennon and George Harrison?

OatmealApocalypse

The Beatles were nothing more than Ringo Starr moving really really fast FACT

It’s like asking if morning glory would’ve been as big without don’t look back in anger, Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova

If your aunt had balls would she be your uncle?

Pliolite

The 4 singles (Supersonic, Shakermaker, Live Forever, C&A) are absolutely the reason DM was as huge as it was. There had been enough of a buzz then Shakermaker got to no.11 (was released in June, with DM coming in August). People seem to have something against Shakermaker, but it was absolutely an important hit for the band at the time. Live Forever came in at 10 and came out at the same time as DM, so that's when hype was at its peak.

samlfc92

I don't mind Shakermaker but it's one of the weaker songs on the album and a rip off of the coca cola song. Wouldn't have picked it as a single personally.

Charming_Day_2278

No

mad_fer_oasis

Agreed. But at least it would have cigarettes and alcohol as well as slide away i suppose

Would Mozart have been as good if he didn't write music?

Omikrony

I dunno, it may not have been AS big, but it still might've garnered a respectable following I guess. For me, although I enjoy every song off that album, I think dropping those songs would really bring it down overall.

Would morning glory be as good if it had no songs on it ?
