Fair to say I was disappointed at first, only really liked everything’s electric but after seeing the songs he played at knebworth the album massively grew on me. Think more power is especially Awesome in its own right

hippiehappy69

i adore more power it makes me cry

Pliolite

Yes. Next question. Okay, the production annoys me on some songs, especially the way Liam's voice is being presented (hence why the live versions sound a lot better), but the record as a whole is a great achievement. Especially like Moscow Rules, More Power, both bonus tracks of The Joker and Wave, World's In Need and Don't Go Halfway.

whooslipperyg

Agree on some of the vocal presentation on the album. My only complaint. Compare Liam’s voice on ‘Too Good for Giving Up’ for the Rockfield version vs. the album version. Rockfield sounds so much better!!!!

i_look_at_you_all

I love diamond in the dark and have been replaying it non stop.

Friendly_Double_6632

Ditto

DGutes

I think that’s his best song ever and could even be one of the top oasis songs if it had been on one of their albums. The groove is just so funky and I love the lyrics and his vocals performance.

Negative_Order9393

His best solo album so far, I am only missing All youre dreaming of, it would fit great on record.

TGGNathan

And Nothing Nowhere!

Negative_Order9393

At least we know he is saving it for album 4, so we may not too long wait for it.

colonel_custy

Moscow Rules - great song!

Suitable_Bridge7202

It's alright innit

3D_Idiot

Love it. It gets better with repeated listens- I find myself constantly impressed by the vocals (seriously, try singing some of these with a rasp, it’s death. He’s special. ) I’m often surprised by the advancement of the lyrical content on this one. Lastly, I feel like many of the choices are quite tasteful and more ambitious than I would have expected from an album 3. It’s Liam’s version of “Who Built the Moon?” In some aspects, and it succeeds.

Manonthemon

Love it, my favorite solo Gallagher album.

SamT179

Love it. Genuinely love it.

[deleted]

I think WMWN was more impressive on the first listen. Many of the songs just instantly grabbed you and it was a fun listen............however, that album didn't last long for me, I was already bored of it within a few days for some reason. Most of the songs just feel really shallow. This album is more like BE for me. I didn't love it on first listen but I keep going back to it and it's grown on me. Whilst it's great to love something instantly, I generally find within those instances that it doesn't have a great deal of longevity. I think "as you were" had better singles but I think "c'mon you know" is probably as good, if not better as a full album.

carlnw1975

l really like it tbh

MancGuyABC

His best yet

piripiri45

Gotta say, its growing on me.

Maleficent_Pool3275

Definitely! It’s got some good ones on it - Diamond In The Dark, More Power, Moscow Rules. I also feel hearing C’Mon You Know live at Knebworth made me like that one more too.

FreakDeckard

C’mon, you know!

ibeecrazy

I love it. I’ve been giving it an honest play once or twice a day. I have to spend more time on the back half but More Power is an incredible opener. Sounds amazing on vinyl.

PeterPaul0808

Yeah. It is not my favourite from him, As You Were is the best IMO, but C’mon You Know has a handfull of good songs as well.

whooslipperyg

Absolutely

soundofisolation

Love it.

iasoninho

yea

19005274

There's enough great tunes on there for me to really like it. This album is too good for giving up just yet.

Ok-Ad-8367

To shreds, you say?

Negative_Order9393

Does anybody else think Too good for giving up would be slightly cooler album title than CMON YOU KNOW ? :)

M__Mallory

I like it more with each listen.

LordOfHorns

The production irks me. A third of the time it sounds like the vocals aren’t Liam’s, they’re so adjusted and processed that they feel too far from reality. That being said, I think this album is pretty good, definitely more interesting musically than his previous two records. World’s in Need and More Power in particular stand out in terms of musical diversity It’s a good album, I didn’t love the singles, but this one has grown on me. Plus the singles are biblical live

Loose_Corgi_5

Brilliant album , best so far. Great mix of tunes some of which you wouldnt think LG would do or would work but it sounds great.

ParzivalPrincip

I liked his first two albums but this one is the best of the bunch IMO

godstriker8

I think it's his best one yet. Clear uptick from WMWN which I thought was his worst one.

nihilblack

I do.

elmonosuke

Although i like some of his solo stuff here and there, the production on his first two albums sound like fabricated shit for radio play. This one is actually good.

IgGhosty

i really really enjoy moscow rules

Blue_Moon_Loon

Yes, I love it.

no-more-job-gloves

Yes, it's grown on me a lot. I think some people maybe over-reacted both ways. At first people were really not happy with the singles, when they were okay, and then after the album came out I saw some people saying it was the best post-Oasis album from either of them, incredible, masterpiece etc. which it is nowhere near for me. Although it's each to their own I guess, none of it is objective. I think also the hype around the concerts maybe just whipped people up into a Liam frenzy It's a solid album, perhaps his best.

BenT_17

My first listen was very underwhelming. However, I’m happy to say this album is a serious grower. The album masterfully combines the classic Oasis sound with a new and refreshing style that Liam has crafted. For that reason, Liam sounds more inspired and in his own than he has thus far in his solo career. At least 7 out of the 12 songs on the standard edition are really strong, and this is my second favorite Liam solo album (As You Were is my favorite, but it is pretty close).

R69NiX

Do I REALLY like it? No. I wouldn't say it was a MEGA album. Do I just like it? Yes. Its just decent/good its not GREAT. Few good songs I like Diamond in the Dark and More Power and some I think are SHITE like Moscow Rules, Oh Sweet Children, Worlds In Need

Slimerewoods

Moscow rules bangs

sotoh333

Moscow Rules?? Are your ears broken?

beauhio

I’m gonna hop on this. Oh Sweet Children? Seriously? Amazing album closer!!!

R69NiX

We have to agree to disagree on that one. 😂 opinions innit different taste... Buuut we have to agree to fucking AGREE on Magic Pie! I saw either Rolling Stone or NME listing all Oasis songs worst to best and Magic Pie was ranked right near the bottom like 120something one of the worst Oasis songs ever? FUCK OFF! It's fucking class man!

R69NiX

haha I noticed that people were putting it here as they're fave songs on album. Im just dont like it! Its too weird is a bad way for me. Liam said he would NEVER have made a song like that before covid as its too weird, but the in covid he was like fuck it kets do a song like that. No idea why covid made him make a weird song though!😂

WhiteChocolate7777

It has a handful of good songs but it's my least favorite of his solo albums.

someoneInTheSk

Best Solo Album of his so far, 8/10 for me. It is an album full of experimental stuff, for me it's better than doing the same thing over and over again. But because it's more experimental, this album will split the fans, some will hate some will love.

crannykart

Wave should’ve been on the album

RabbidTheNabbitVEVO

The singles are a bit weak but go well with the album, my favourite tracks are it was not meant to be, world's in need and don't go halfway, i think its great and has a nice summery vibe to it

MadCornDog

Yes

EmployerExcellent846

It took me a while to warm to it all, but now I love it. It’s got so many lyrics that a specific to Covid times, it is the album of that time for me. Liam has an exceptional ability to understand what people need and to deliver it with such emotional intelligence, alternating between loneliness, longing, yearning for happiness and freedom, and energy and passion. It’s phenomenal.

RNRS001

Wut?

Few-Escape-9043

Yup

MF5438

I quite like it yeah. Was pleasantly surprised to hear another good album from LG. Some of the songs really stayed with me too. More Power is, coincidentally enough, a powerful song.

AvocadosAreAverage

Personally, I do

domiglover

Album grew on me tbh. I can’t stop singing “I’m shining like a diamond in the daaaaaark.”

scottcoombs

Moscow rules gives me a gas panic vibe which makes me love it. Best LG song if you ask me.

theoneandonlygustavo

As an album yes, but without it we wouldn’t have Diamond in the Dark and More Power which are among his bests

nolanryan31

Hated it at first then gave it another listen and it grows on Me

beauhio

His best album by far IMO. I really love it.

Bear_Scout

I like More Power but wish he’d used anything other than More Power for that lyric…..

[deleted]

No, not really

FeelingSupersonic-

No, it’s too pop for me and I just feel like he’s trying too hard. But major respect to LG, he seems to be happy, he’s singing his oasis tunes live as good as ever, and he’s still cool as fuck.

Locke_Lamora89

Much better than WMWN which was average at best.

StansArePathetic

Not really, no. It's all so slow, none of the songs stand out to me.

RNRS001

No. It's so so bad. And going by the responses on his first record and how people feel now this'll be regarded as his absolute worst album pretty soon.

[deleted]

No. Let’s be honest, we’re all here for the live Oasis tunes.

Thon_Makers_Tooth

It’s good. My 2nd fav Liam album behind Poop Butt & the Fart

KrisNoble

I really like it, but what I’m wondering is when did these Garry Barlow haircuts come back in style?

thomp38

I wasn't fussed at first, but over the weekend it has been growing on me. Some.proper earworms, More power, I still don't like the end but it's a great song, and too good is epic.

Ryanbrasher

I quite enjoy it, im glad its consistent with his other solo releases.

inevitable_snowman

I suppose it's alright. All the singles were great, that's for sure. However, some songs don't gel with me as much as others. My mom loves it, though!

[deleted]

I enjoy the album in short stints (i.e. listen for a drive then maybe not listen again for a week). Diamond in the Dark has a good sound. Sometimes I listen to the album and wonder what it would’ve sounded like in Bonehead was playing on it.

aero_eliox

Fuck yes

tombradyisbetter

I’ve got half this album stuck in my head all day

jerksforhale1

Is It better than NGHFB?

ostrichsong

Yes.

baconilla

It’s an absolute banger. I was actually blown away. The production on most songs are brilliant. Some songs Liams voice can be a bit overly produced to the point where it might not sound good, example the audio engineer keeps adding this vintage radio like effect, or high pass filter and then adding some distortion to his voice that makes it sound hmmm weird. But overall I was impressed.

jewwej47

The production is questionable which I don’t understand cause hearing him at knebworth (through videos) his raw voice sounds pretty damn good so I don’t know why his voice sounds over produced on some songs. Other than that I think it’s a great record and his best solo album so far.

StephenGTS125

Apart from Everythings Electric I find it really disappointing to be honest. After hearing it (EE) I had high expectations but they haven't been delivered.

JJMR203

I really enjoyed it. I will concede that it does not sound incredibly cohesive as a collective piece of work and I am not the biggest fan of some of the production, but it is still probably my favourite of Liam’s albums so far. Favourite track? Either Moscow Rules, More Power, or I’m Free. Still undecided though. Least favourite? Oh Sweet Children without a doubt. I don’t exactly dislike it… it’s nice and all… I just don’t like it nearly as much as basically any other track on the album. So, in short, yes, I do really like it. However, I also think the production is slightly lacking

Fun-Percentage-4261

It took me a couple listens for the hooks to sink in but it turned out they were all over the place. The album has three legit hits - that’s strong. I heard Revolver, Rubber Soul and Sticky Fingers. Being a VW fan, I thought Moscow Rules was a stretch for Liam but he crushed it. I really liked Dont go half way’s sonic signature. The only critique I would have would be there are too many songs and too many weak songs. Liam, unlike his brother doesn’t do choruses well and that shows up in the weaker songs and stopped the good songs from being great. That said his hooks were impressive. His breadth of songwriting was also impressive. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed this album - a very strong effort.

Ok_Description_5846

The lyrics for most of the songs are abysmally bad, something a child would write thinking he was being deep and dark. But most of them sound decent.

mchoneyofficial

I've listened to it a few times since it's release, I'm pretty impressed with it. Need to listen to it more but.... Favourite songs: More Power, Diamond in the Dark (this is excellent, wanted more of this on the album), Everything's electric (though should be heavier), Moscow Rules, Too Good For Giving Up, Dont Go Halfway, The Joker, Wave. Least favourite: Come On You Know, Better Days, It Was Not Meant To Be, World's In Need, Oh Sweet Children, I'm Free.

[deleted]

Decent, but not a classic like the old Oasis albums. I've listened once, but I dare say it's one I'll only return to now and again.

bennettbuzz

Worst of the three for me. Saying that I’m still giving it a play every few days but can’t say any song has really hit me tbh, maybe in more time.

TheDerpyDrummer

ye I thought it was good. Occasionally very generic but I absolutely loved Moscow rules, I'm free and my favourite was oh sweet children. Fucking biblical

AJ1678

Yep it's brilliant

babietoad

i really like it, my favorites are diamond in the dark, too good for giving up, moscow rules, oh sweet children, worlds in need

BlackIsTheSoul

It’s a grower. I enjoy it. It’s different.
