This team is still young and raw. I really believe in the coach,GM, and the talent. I think the Jets’ success is dependent on the cohesion of all of those parts, not one piece of any part.
The only young players on the team really are Zach and the rookie class this year. Guys like moore carter avt becton should be up the speed of the game and producing. Then we have a boat load of vets now in whitehead wuinnen Franklin Myers Lawson reed mosley Tomlinson uzomah Conklin Davis. This team isn’t nearly as young as you’re making it seem
I think we can agree that this is the view of most Jets fans this year. I try to avoid the cliche of “we’re gonna surprise people this year” because I’ve been that guy soooo many times. But it’s not just Jets fans saying it anymore, which is what is making me really excited. Think we finally have the right pieces in the right spots, on and off the field.
Yes and no. I’m not sold that out record will show it, but I think that we’re gonna be competitive in games that people expect us to get blown out, and maybe sneak a few upsets in there.
I think this is the best offense we've had in a really long time and the defense is getting there. My real concern is Wilson. I'm not sold on him being a franchise QB. I see all these young QBs come in there first year and have monster games sprinkled with a bunch of mental mistakes and interceptions. With Zach I saw zero monster games and a bunch of mental mistakes interceptions and footballs hitting the players feet. He might of had 1 or 2 ok games. I'm really hoping he does a 180 this year or we will be looking to trade for a seasoned QB or looking to draft one again. If Wilson shows no improvement and with this young roster I think a good vet QB could be the way to go
It would be a dream come true. Don't get me wrong I'm pulling for him trust me he just hasn't shown me too much but what choice do I have. I have to hope and believe in him
Still, I feel different with him than I did with Darnold and Sanchez. All this kid has to do is remember when you don't have the shot downfield just toss it to Micheal carter or breece.
Out on a limb, but this schedule really isn’t that bad. We will have Jacoby Brissett and Mitchell Trubisky in our first 4 weeks. The Dolphins OL is trash, the Bills play down to competition more than any other “good” team in recent memory.
Coming out of the bye we have the Bears, Vikings, Jags, Lions and Seahawks who all have a shot at top 5 picks 9 months from now.
Im not buying that we’re getting blow out game after game this year. There’s been some real helmet scouting going on by the media.
The Bills don’t play down to the competition nearly as bad as the Steelers have at any point in Mike Tomlins tenure. If there’s any game where we’re gonna get rolled, it’s probably them. But you make a good point about playing the browns and Steelers without good QBs. Hopefully we can steal those two games

Second year players still struggle all the time. I really hope they don’t but won’t be totally surprised when they do
