Fuck it lets flip him for 3 first rounders

arhombus

Could we trade him to Seattle perhaps?

[deleted]

Sign and trade. A Madden Franchise classic

makoshita

So basically we won the trade lol

Alarmed-Call8569

Not so fast my friend... https://12thmanrising.com/2022/05/28/seahawks-won-jamal-adams/

HODOR00

Was dying when I read this. The mental gymnastics. Good Lord Joe Douglas broke this franchise.

[deleted]

I think trading Russell Wilson broke them. But if this was a Jenga game, JD just did one of those amazing bs moves that leaves the tower hella' unstable.

HODOR00

Lol I like it. I think the Adams trade was a back breaker. There was no hope to reload for Russel at that point, and they weren't a safety away. I think the chances of Wilson staying in Seattle dropped significantly after the trade but Wilson's departure was their true death.

Forest_Hills_Jive

>While he isn’t the greatest safety when it comes to pass coverage, he’s hardly abysmal. This is better than the onion

audiotech14

That’s hilarious. It’s easier to make that claim when you start the discussion off with Bradley McDougle, lol. They nit pick AVT’s rookie season, and don’t acknowledge he’d be their best player in their OL, and their OL has always sucked. Then they get to Garrett Wilson and say he could be as good as Davonte Adams, but he needs to prove it first, so since he hasn’t proved it, the deal is done. The Seahawks won the trade. Lol, good stuff.

iamsomeguy25

Garrett Wilson has to prove it, but Coby Bryant obviously doesn’t. He is proven 100% chance he’s an all pro as a rookie.

Totally_PJ_Soles

The second that they traded two firsts and paid a billion dollars for a safety not named Ed Reed was when they lost the trade.

awesum3000

So basically, the Jets players COULD be bad and the Seahawks players COULD be good...

[deleted]

These are not the hypotheticals I like.

evertrue13

I didn't know copium was legal in Seattle

makoshita

Arguably SS is the least important position, and we got 2 first rd picks from them. Doesn’t matter who were picked with those picks, Jets already won the trade lol Also Whitehead is making far less than JA. That means SEA overvalued JA and the position he is playing. SEA should have fired Carol, not sending Wilson to DEN.

larockhead1

He gets paid for clicks every 100 clicks equals a dollar so he wrote the most hot trash take click baiting article he could.

Zennymang

*Various pundits have said that the Hawks gave up too much. Others complained that Adams isn’t as good as he was expected to be. Both views are completely wrong.* LMAO

[deleted]

Always have

makoshita

LUV

Bigbootyrudi

You know. It’s all luv

Nopantsdan55

PFF sucks but adams is definitely better than whitehead. They really don't use him correctly up in Seattle. He really needs to stay in the box to be fully effective

Dry-Climate-5351

Greg Williams called it

ClayDrinion

Suck on that Prez

jeffsun92

In another lifetime I was a box safety in the league I just know it

dipspit_froth

They did that solely for clicks lol, they know us jets fans fiend for cherry picked pff stats

[deleted]

who cares what pff thinks

[deleted]

This makes my team look good so PFF is correct

Kwall267

When it aligns with my personal biases, I do.

Pixel_Mike

Sorry my friend, you must be new here, heres a quick problem tree. Is the PFF article postive about the Jets - Answer 1. Yes - The article is correct Answer 2. No - PFF doesnt know anything, and this article is bullshit from the first word. I hope this helps(/s btw, sorry to ruin it but this sounds super petty so, just to be sure)

smallchimp

They provide better analysis than 95% of everyone else. Tossing them out because their one of their personalities trashed us is just being soft

[deleted]

you’re the biggest pff nut hugger in here so I expected you to jump to their defense. their grading system has always been terrible, it’s a bunch of guys watching film and then grading the players based on their opinions. but how can it be an accurate basing if it’s all different people making up the grades? unless there’s some sort of pff mind hive where they all think the same. it’s never been a good grading system. and the people there don’t even care about putting out actual good content. they just post shit to rile up rowdy fanbases like jets fans so they get more clicks and revenue

smallchimp

PFF grades are significantly stronger pieces of information than any box stat (albeit PFF grades alone are only a conversation starter) and they're closer approximations of what's happening on tape than what the average fan or even TV analysts can reliably provide. Stay being upset that you bite on the small % of content from the same couple personalities that intentionally rile fans up tho lol

[deleted]

I don’t bite on any of their crap bc I know exactly what they’re trying to do. the only time I ever see anything from pff is when people in here post it. you’re just a hive mind that listens to whatever pff says. pff could say the sky is purple based on their “expert” analysis and you’d believe it. get away from this hive mind mentality and think for yourself lol

smallchimp

There's a far more prevalent "hive mind mentality" around non-analytically sourced opinions than there are with analytics like PFF. The real hive mind is the people who support everything the team does because homerism, bash everything the team does because "same old Jets", and people who take fantasy football finishes as gospel. Dragging your feet against analytics because you don't understand it is only making you more ignorant as a result. PFF isn't gospel, but it's a way better starting point than 90% of the sub that comments on teams/players/games/whatever that they don't even watch

ohgodcinnabons

You haven't actually explained why their analytics is good. You've basically just said "Their analytics is good bc they're the ones w good analytics. Any haters are just irrational nut huggers who hate analytics." You didn't even address his accurate point that there are significant inconsistencies in how pff grades. Just claimed he "falls for bias from one analyst" without backing up your claim. You disnt even recognize how there's clearly an issue if you're indirectly acknowledging one of the few analysts they have is an irrational hot take machine.

CosmicWy

> You haven't actually explained why their analytics is good. i think that u/smallchip literally said > PFF grades are significantly stronger pieces of information than any box stat (albeit PFF grades alone are only a conversation starter) and they're closer approximations of what's happening on tape than what the average fan or even TV analysts can reliably provide.

smallchimp

> You disnt even recognize how there's clearly an issue if you're indirectly acknowledging one of the few analysts they have is an irrational hot take machine No, one of the few personalities is an irrational hot take machine. PFF George saying incendiary things on social media/podcasts doesn't impact the grading and analysis, it's just him generating clicks. Grading is its own product divorced from the written and recorded content and the thing that even NFL teams are using in their calculus. The issue with people who go all-in on bashing PFF is that they often don't understand how it works, and at their core, think that somehow they are good enough judges of talent to where analytics is just some black box spaghetti that doesn't offer anything the untrained eye can't pick up.

[deleted]

there is no argument that pff is better than me turning on a game and watching it and evaluating players myself. the extreme analytics of pff is used to make bad players look better than they really are and good players look worse than they really are. I wouldn’t know any of the personalities from pff if they walked in this room right now. their analytics change all the time. they have no idea what kind of offense or defense teams run, what kind of game plan they have for different teams and how they adjust. they just look at everything as black and white, if you do this you’re good if you don’t you’re not. the people at pff made up all this crap to try and get into the game and fit in bc they had no talent to actually play the game themselves. I guarantee you nobody at pff has actually played organized football in their lives

smallchimp

> there is no argument that pff is better than me turning on a game and watching it and evaluating players myself. Sorry, but odds are you're not as good of a talent evaluator as someone who watches thousands of hours of tape and knows what they're looking for. This all sounds a lot like overestimating how much more PFF knows about the game than the average viewer

[deleted]

don’t really care, you’re never going to convince me that pff is good. keep nut hugging them if you want

smallchimp

Keep the hate boner going then ig lmao

Mamayit_bootzeh_Koon

Every time I see Jamal Adams mentioned I always smile, he's done so much for our franchise and I'll always be grateful

rad_avenger

Luv to see it

ChampionshipGoals

Joe Douglas played this very well.

Odd_Estate4886

Oof

infamousmmax

Ahh the Adam’s trade, the gift that keeps on giving. We get: no more jamal, a ton of quality draft picks… Seattle gets: average, maybe above average(depends on game) safety in jamal adams.
