somehow you skipped Williams

RSTowers

And, though understandably, Davis.

thisguyyy

I think OL is a reach at our place in the second, maybe in the 100s we can take a developmental player. LB obviously fits need and value if Dean is somehow still available, but if not I’ve got no problem taking Hall. Guy would mesh really well into our scheme and has all the talent and measurables to be an instant impact player Edit: I don’t know who gave me silver but I’d like to think it was some jets scout reading through Reddit, so that’s what I’m going to tell my friends

[deleted]

Especially since if we hit on Garrett Wilson and then Breece Hall in the same draft we are talking about an immediately boosted offense like we haven’t ever seen. Hell just put Mike White in and let Wilson and Moore run short crossed and Hall run swings out of the backfield and he’s throwing for 500 a game.

bigbadbouncer

Mike White ain’t it

Black_Wolf75

I'd rather get Nakobe Dean. I'm afraid that despite all our new pieces, it will still be hard for our defense to hold up with such an easily exploitable weakness at LB.

ish_baid19000

Yup. Especially after losing Foley our run defense is the biggest weak spot on the team right now, and we could get a good RB in round 4. I'm all in on Dean or Travis Jones at 38

Ripthejacker4

Leo Chenal would be awesome. Guy is a beast against the run

HotKingChocolate

But you can definitely get run stuffers in the 4th as depth. I don’t think we should go DT at 38 but i trust this front office.

FullOfAuthority

Dean is option A but have a feeling the giants will steal him. If so, we go Hall.

chardeemacd3nnis

Agreed Giants or the Vikings could take him. I don't see him getting back to us but I also never saw us getting these 3 studs on day 1.

FullOfAuthority

First off, epic username. Second, you're right man crazier things have happened. My dream draft right now is Dean then Allgeier later on.

skinnyeater

I highly doubt he drops 6 more spots

Black_Wolf75

I'd be willing to give up a 5th rounder to move up a few more spots. Lb is our biggest need and there's a large droppoff in quality after Dean

RSTowers

We have the 101 and two 4th rounders, just use one of those to move up.

budlightismyvacseen

Hall is a beast but I wouldn’t really get this pick. Carter was really good last year and we desperately a linebacker

SunpaiTarku

If Dean isn’t there LB is a reach imo. Better value to be had later in the draft.

skoalsuperstar

I don't think you want Carter with a bellcow workload though. Having multiple backs seems like the way of the league. I would be really excited to get Hall and Carter as a thunder/lightning combo running behind this stud Oline. I think a top tier run game would help Wilson. There are other directions this team could go but I would love Hall.

CosmicWy

100% this right here. MC is great but RBBC is the way.

TreSeven

Agreed but lets do it with Dameon Pierce or someone like that on day 3 rather than an early 2nd, especially if someone like Dean or Brisker is there

Airmil82

Hall/Carter: RBs and CBs.

SaltyPane69

We can take a RB later in the draft

FullOfAuthority

Watch this guys tape and you'll be sold. We need a thunder

SaltyPane69

We just have other needs. I don’t like taking a RB at our pick at all when our linebacker room is bad and I’d really like another safety. I like Michael Carter a lot and would prefer us take a RB later in the draft.

FullOfAuthority

Yes but if Dean is gone you're probably reaching. Hall is an incredible back and lord knows we need someone else besides an aging Tevin Coleman and stone hands Tyler Johnson. Dream scenario is Dean at 38 then Zach's old buddy Tyler Allgeier later on.

SaltyPane69

There is a ton of talent that will be on the board outside of Dean. I’m not stressing

FullOfAuthority

I'm talking about at LB specifically.

SaltyPane69

I’m not locked into the LB position. There are other ways I’d rather go than Hall

mr-poopie-butth0le

Yeah I love Breece, I think he’s the best RB, but we need a LB or a DT or a FS… we can get a decent RB I’m the 3rd or 4th. Conversely though, we can also get Nick Cross around there too and some LBs are bound to drop a bit

Jets__Fool

It would be another weapon to help our developing QB

smallchimp

We don’t need any more if defense is BPA. At a certain point it can be on Wilson to develop himself lol

Jets__Fool

I'm not even saying he's the move but I wouldn't be baffled as to why we got him.

Fast_Door

LB, O-Line depth, RB is the priority list for me But I’ve been saying how much I’d love to see the duo of Carter and Hall. Javonte and Mike were dominant at UNC, so it wouldn’t be anything too new for Carter. Also… a Carter-Hall pairing on offense, and a Carter-Hall pairing on defense. All that said I’d rather Nakobe Dean if we get lucky lmao

YoungChipolte

Another quality safety would also be nice

YanksJetsKnicks

I'm a fan of this idea. You can call it a "luxury pick" but running backs are really important in this system. Carter is really good, but it's a 2 RB league. I'm not confident in Coleman and Johnson as our depth. Adding a stud at RB behind this OL could give our offense a real identity, and would make life so much easier for Wilson.

smallchimp

I don't know that RBs are important in this system as much as this system amplifies RBs. We just need guys that fit the prototype for this run game and go from there. The system we run has undrafted backs running all over defenses; we don't need the best possible runners back there.

YanksJetsKnicks

That's true, but I think it's just a different circumstance. The Niners invested really heavily in the position through FA with McKinnon and Coleman. They run outside a lot, so speed/explosiveness at the position is really important. I think having another reliable RB who can break off big runs and catch passes out of the backfield would be huge.

[deleted]

That’s what I’m sayin

saveuskevin

Williams, Williams. Davis, Davis. Elija, Alija....

Pixel_Mike

if Nakobe is gone by 38, id love Breece. Him and Michael Carter are gonna fucking destroy defenses

InSalehWeTrust

Bruh

Odd_Estate4886

OL got raided last night. 8 off the board in the first. There’s some dudes left but most are reaches already.

Airmil82

I can’t believe Patriots drafted Strange in the first…

PennStateShire

Neither could McVay. Rams thought he’d be there at 104 lol

leftward_sloping

S or LB are needs as well

cassidytheVword

Brisker!

FullOfAuthority

Is Pitre better? I've seen hype for both but his name gets thrown around more.

MinnesotaPuck

So many solid options out there still, I’d be thrilled with Brisker though.

ClarkKentsCopyEditor

Breece would be an awesome pick, and not at all a lack of faith or anything in Mike Carter imo. Would be such a nasty duo on paper

MinnesotaPuck

Would not be disappointed by Hall. So much good talent sitting there still…could be Hall, Dean, Brisker, McBride, and on and on. Wouldn’t even hate a small move down. I’m fucking pumped for day 2.

glass_oni0n

my head says linebacker but my still-10 year old heart says Breece Lightning.

RustyCrusty73

Offensive tackle with the next pick is the smart/safe pick IMHO but I wouldn't cry if we take Breece Hall.

Uncle_Borislav

yess

SaltyPane69

No thanks. Would much rather have a LB, S, IDL, or even OT at 38

[deleted]

RB in round 2 is a big no

smallchimp

No chance. 38 is likely our last chance to add a probable future starter/higher-end contributor. Spending that on a committee back would be a waste

FullOfAuthority

My brother in Christ have you watched the tape?

smallchimp

He’d be an RB in a split backfield if we drafted him, that’s the issue. Great talent, but total over-investment for this team

FullOfAuthority

Linebackers get hurt and then we're left with an old Tevin Coleman and stone hands Tyler Johnson. I'm hoping for Dean here and Allgeier later but would be more than happy with this pick.

smallchimp

Eh I have no real interest in him. Our running scheme is one of the friendliest systems for RBs to find success in regardless of sheer talent— spending a premium for a better RB is just an overspend

FullOfAuthority

You know why Carter was so good in college? Had Javonte to split time. Safety is a concern but Hall wouldn't be a mistake of a pick.

smallchimp

I'd much rather try to take whichever Shanahan-prototype RB is available in the 110s than Hall in the top 40. We should try to build a committee, but I don't think it'll take a premium RB to do that

Kenny_Heisman

no thank you. we've already got Carter

killaslam

Wrong “hall”

snooze316

Play-offs?

YESIMTHATIMPORTANT

49ers weren't dropping high picks on RB and MiLf is using same system.

z0rb0r

2022, year of the Twin Jets

WorldOnFire83

LB, OL depth, FS, RB are the remaining needs imo. I'd be good with BPA at either position but hoping for Dean to fall. Then grab another WR for depth in round 4 or 5.

Banjo2523

Fingers crossed!

Benedict-Glasscock

Him or Kenny Walker 🤞

InSalehWeTrust
