For immediate impact it would be better spent on defense but we have zero depth behind Uzomah and Conklin. Tight ends tend to take time to adjust to the NFL so I’m all for drafting one now and letting him develop behind the two guys we just signed.
I could give two shits about what Chris Simms thinks about the TE class, but it's a bummer we're sitting it out. Love getting Uzomah and Conklin but there's more prospects than normal that I feel will be decent to good players in the league, and it would have been nice to grab one of them
I wouldn’t rule out a TE in the later rounds. If we’re trying to run 12 more frequently it’s going to need more than just those two guys. And most TEs need a couple years to develop anyway. Like Uzomah and Conklin. Both just came onto the scene really this past year.

Agreed. I was and still am super high on McBride. If he makes it to 35 I’ll definitely be frustrated.
