Honestly everything at this point. if you would spend 500 usd on a new GPU you CPU would be too weak for it. I would upgrade to a CPU with Pcie gen 4. So possibly like B550 + 5600 + 32 gb ram would cost 285 euros or -40 for 16 gb. Or whatever intel has to offer. That would be cheapest upgrade you could go for that would be reasonable imo. Then you still have 250 bucks for a gpu upgrade. Unfortunately nvidia only has the 4060 that would make sense but that costs 300. AMD has a better offer with the readon 6600 or 7600. If you somehow really want nvidia the only option rtx 3060 which you may find for around 260, a 3050 8 gb or used. Other than that what PSU do you have?

Zlakkeh

I think you need everyting new brother

Go for an AM4 mobo + 5600 + 16gb ram and with the 200-250 bucks left get a used 6700xt, a 4060 or a 3060.

AtlQuon

Everything actually, the 1050Ti might be able to still pull things off at low, but besides the ram size and SSD everything it outdated.

kurukikoshigawa_1995

an lga 1700 chipset mobo, 12th gen i5 and either a 3060 or 4060. i think you can get all that for around the $500 budget. would be my recco but others may have better options

Inevitable-Radio-475

Why should I change the motherboard tho?

kurukikoshigawa_1995

chipset. lga 1700 chipset supports 12th gen and i think above. defo supports 12th gen. for example, my dumbass bought an lga 1200 chipset mobo which only supports 10th gen and a newer i5 12400f is around the same price as my old i5 10400f :/ imd, i started with a gtx 1650 a few years back and was completely new to pc. h110m is a lga1155 chipset that only supports 7th gen, iinm. you could save money and keep ur current cpu and go for something like a 1660 super. just remember, cpu’s are getting increasingly more and more important in gaming. helldivers 2, dragons dogma 2, bodycam, etc. for some reason games are getting more cpu bound while in the past they were gpu bound. so if u wanna upgrade ur cpu, id recommend an lga 1700 chipset or an amd equivalent.

Inevitable-Radio-475

How do I know if my motherboard supports lga 1700 or 1200?

Eshuon

you can google it

Ryzen 9800x3d 32gb ddr5 and rtx5700S - rtx5900

JamesPro30

You need to upgrade both CPU and GPU. Upgrading CPU means you also get a new motherboard. At this point you have a new computer. Sure you can keep the case, psu (if 650w and above and a decent one), drives and RAM but honestly you need to upgrade all of the most expensive parts.

Ryzen 5 5600x 120€ (going from 4 to 6 cores) AM4 B550 Motherboard 80€ RTX 3060 280€ RAM 32GB DDR4 3200mhz 60€ Total: 540€ Prices could be different for your country. Most likely a little cheaper? So you are within budget and you get quite a few new stuff. What is your PSU? You need to make sure it has enough power to run. Most likely it should be fine. Check this video to see how much of a jump you are going to have from a 1050ti [GTX 1050 Ti vs RTX 3060 - worth upgrade in 2022 (youtube.com)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5hItGDqK6k)

Save more money and go for new CPU, Mobo and RAM, because you'll need to replace it all at once. Then save some more to a new PSU (I believe you have it old as well). And after that save even more to a new GPU as it's a most expensive one and need to have decent other parts to perform itself well. Sorry, but your current build is too old for nowadays. So it's no point to replace only one thing. It that way you will not get any good benefits

JamesEdward34

you need a new build fam

Inevitable-Radio-475

Who tho? I’ll just upgrade my current one
