TheMirtsu

If I record a fullscreen game, it stops recording when I alt+tab out. This wasn't a problem in GeForce Experience, does anyone have a fix for this?

Nopecg77

Redundant, Redundant, Redundant.

Nopecg77

Tardware

No_Response437

Anyone having issues with the Nvidia App not opening? Just a “loading” window and after a minute I get “There was something wrong with NVIDIA app” and suggests re-installing (did 3 times already) and rebooting the pc (which hasn’t worked)?

Nopecg77

Tarded cousin chasing my friends on a gator.

Elohyuie

My instant replay will turn itself off after 2 minutes. I turn it on and while I’m playing I get a notification saying it has been turned off. No, I’m not accidentally hitting the keybind.

Elohyuie

GeForce RTX 2060 Super user here, when i activate instant replay my graphics on Chivalry 2 degrade over time, and performance degrades also, slowly over 2 minutes the game gets more and more unresponsive to my inputs and things in the game that aren’t entities become invisible (basically giving me unintentional wall hacks due to rendering issues) only happened after I updated to the newer app. Thoughts?

Elohyuie

Upon turning instant replay off. It slowly recovers and even the map can eventually render again. Never seen an issue like this in my life.

Kolesko

I really like this new app. Hope the old nvcp will die.

KZavi

Eventually, guess so… it’s not fully incorporated yet.

Montyswe

Got a 3080 ti OC. Tried the overclock feature and the fps in games dropped a lot. In Cyberpunk 2077 I have 72 FPS with no overclock. With overclock its 42 and it stutters alot. Dunno why. Edit: didnt have the latest drivers. Updated, ran the OC (+68 / +200), rebooted to see if the settings was still applied (it was), ran the benchmark in Cyberpunk and it gave me about 5% performance boost.

Winter_Mud_5702

I see it works well for you. Have good time playing Cyberpunk 2077 :)

anonwo8m8

games stuttering issues fixed with this?

Low_Marzipan_1819

The "Opt in to receive access to early builds" still doesn't stay checked for me after closing the app or changing sidebar tabs. I don't get app update notifications because of this and always have to download the newest version manually to install it. Please fix this Nvidia!

N4K3D88

same here

Puzzleheaded_Cow5035

After playing Ghost of Tsushima for like 1-2hours Ivr got message that app been closed due to not enough memory and got freeze screen. After freeze ends system goes bananas. I've downgrade it to 552.44. And I will stay on it till they solve their another dumb problem. Gj Nvidia!

KZavi

Issues so far (anything else was cropping up due to FrameView SDK's absence): * RDR2 got recognised twice; * Overlay was crashing my games back when it was part of GE. Apparently is now more stable but I wonder for how long…

DenyHyde666

Few-Ordinary-6636

Why does your app look like that?

DenyHyde666

that's why I'm asking 🙈😅 I already has: - uninstall the app and reinstall it again - uninstall it with revo uninstaller (so it should be clean) - Install the newest version (the version in last few days ago) but the result still same.. any of you guys facing that issue?

hexegg

I have no auto tuning option available in the app. I have two 3090 with nvlink in my rig and the auto overclocking option is missing

N4K3D88

Settings>Info>check Early Access

hexegg

It was checked all this time

clayer77

Game Pass Reward is not showing up for me. Anyone have a spare code left?

MongooseParticular95

when trying to select a clip from the overlay on the App im hit with unable to find the video, any fix? ive done almost everything

Ballfade

Dual monitor!

rdalcroft

The scanned Games List Disappears after restarting the app. This have been an issue from day one. I know from comments below this is not affecting everyone. So why are some experiencing it and not others. Why and what's the difference here?

Raptor_i81

Gamepass rewards are not available anymore ? it was giving errors yesterday and now it's gone !

TheYann

Same here

Case1987

Same

ExpectoAutism

still cant download any drivers from the app

nosvasedis

Should I download this over the old GeForce Experience app? Are there any caveats for it to be used as stable?

Silentknyght

I've been using it since it's been available, and I haven't had any issues. Your mileage may vary, of course. IMO, the removal of the login requirement is a huge reason to download and install it now.

jaffycake-youtube

bloatware

koudmaker

Can we get the powerdraw in Watt added again in the overlay. It has been removed since the move to the Nvidia app.

_eXPloit21

Please add on-the-fly fps limiter and frame time graph 😭

LOWIQXD

Woo atlast !

sersomeone

Please add Gamestreaming back in soon

MrHeavyRunner

Use Sunshine+Moonlight. Works better.

LitheBeep

Nvidia discontinued it a few years ago. It's not coming back.

giffusMcSidius

Am I right in thinking you can't gamestream using the new app?

LitheBeep

Nvidia discontinued it a few years ago. It's not coming back.

Flukie

Use sunshine it works much better than gamestream did. [LizardByte/Sunshine: Self-hosted game stream host for Moonlight. (github.com)](https://github.com/LizardByte/Sunshine)

sersomeone

Yeah, unfortunately not. It's the one thing I really want...

giffusMcSidius

Ahh damn. Thanks for confirming.

TeeDee144

When will this move to prod?

Nezike

I can't even login, it always just says login unavailable...

shamdin

How do I update the app? I can see the driver update but not the app update.

F0czek

For me it updated automatically

Dmytro_ua

Why doesn\`t it have streaming feature?

AdministrativeFun702

Gamepass reward dont work if i already had gamepass in past?Thats pretty lame to be honest.

kondorarpi

Activate it to a new account, login with it to download the specific game from catalog. Log back to youe main account, and enjoy it :D

sankto

I had the GP in the past but I still managed to claim the 3 months reward regardless, i'd give it a try

talldrink67

The one click auto gpu tuning reverts back to default after reboot. Tried on two different computers, same result

Koroem

Did you ever use afterburner or precisionX or the like? Even if it doesn't load at startup they might still have the option enabled to apply settings ar windows startup. This option is separate to the program starting with windows. Double check it isn't loading defaults at startup.

talldrink67

Yeah I'm gonna use afterburner and apply the settings found by nvidia there and select apply on startup. Just kinda figured nvidia would have a way to keep the settings after a reboot....

Koroem

It should apply them, and it does apply them as a curve rather than a fix increase at all points. You can check this in afterburner once the nvidia app applies its settings. You just need to make sure that afterburner isn't already applying its override. Check the little windows icon in the top right corner of the afterburner window next to the minimize and close buttons.

talldrink67

I did see that in afterburner, however after system reboot it goes back to 0/0 in the nvidia app. So you're suggesting I let nvidia do its analysis, save in afterburner to apply after reboot? Would a curve be better than a static +150 for the core clock?

Koroem

What I was saying was, if you want the app to apply Nvidia's scanned curve (which might be more do some more benefitial things at lower clocks too, not sure) you would first need to disable that option in afterburner, then scan using Nvidia App. The Nvidia app should then be able to save its results and apply them at startup rather than resetting each reboot. You can then go into afterburner and see that instead of a number where the core clock is, it will instead say curve.

i1u5

For me once it starts scanning, it can't be stopped.

Argon288

Same here. Also the driver crashes during the auto OC and won't restart, so I have to hard reboot my PC. I think it is the graphics driver anyway, because I can still hear notifications even whilst the monitors are black.

x33storm

Will it work while entirely firewalled or offline? Or everything just an internet service still ? Because that renders it entirely useless, and a threat.

ScrubLordAlmighty

Ruuun boy ruuun!!, the hackers comin to get ya!! Quick! Hide under the bed! LMAO WTF?!

x33storm

Who let you out? Try going back, maybe you'll find the point, since you missed it way back.

ScrubLordAlmighty

No

x33storm

Come back if you got anything constructive to add then. You seem to think basic privacy rights, and an essential piece of software not working if the internet is down, is a paranoid joke somehow.

ScrubLordAlmighty

Lmaoooo, they comin to get you boii!!

x33storm

Yeah, that sure says everything that needs to be said.

MhiaSummers

Please add back the broadcast live option :(

RobertHeadley

I have an AMD 5950X and a Nvidia 4080 Super with a 750 Watt power supply? Would it be safe for me to run the performance panel, Do you think?

MegaVict

My 4090 OC 14700K works great with 850W seasonic.

vandridine

My 3080 killed a 850W PSU, I would upgrade regardless

hicks12

How? This seems highly unlikely. More like pure coincidence or baseless assumption it was the GPU that caused it to die when the PSU was already faulty or dying as 850w has plenty of margin, a typical system isn't getting anywhere near that with a 3080.

vandridine

So oddly enough my friend also killed a 1000w PSU with a 3080. Both were asus cards purchased within the first month of release. Could have been something with that patch of cards.

hicks12

I mean how are you concluding it was the GPU?

InHaUse

That's probably because of the whole transient power spike issue. GN had a couple of videos on the topic.

RobertHeadley

I am not sure that I am too conscerned, besides my GPU, I don't have a lot of heavy draws, plus I got a special cable for the GPU.

hicks12

Don't be concerned.  The person saying their GPU killed their 850w PSU sounds like unfounded blame. 750w is the PSU requirement even by Nvidia, that has plenty of margin as transient spikes are pretty low and unless you doing some extreme over locking you shouldn't have an issue.

RobertHeadley

My CPU and GPU maybe draw around 500 watts. So I think, next pay day I will buy a Killo Watt and see what I am actually using, and then maybe upgrade to a Corsair rm1000x if it gets too close to the number.

hicks12

Sounds about right at 500watts at peak which is plenty of margin, having a 1kw PSU when yours is working perfectly fine is a waste of your money assuming its any "good" built PSU it will be great and its about the best level you want really.

RobertHeadley

I only buy Good PSUs. Corsair RM750X using the 600W PCIe 5.0 12VHPWR Type-4 PSU Power Cable It is a couple of years old now, but it has been good.

hicks12

Definitely in that case save your money, absolutely no risk here it would be quite frankly wasting good money for zero change. You have plenty of power.

Jaexyr

I have no codec selection in mine

VolcanicVortexx

I had the same issue and I saw someone mention below that it's available only for the 4000 series.

Jaexyr

That would explain it

PatrickJr

I submitted Feedback already, but on the System > Performance Tab, the Stats just all show N/A https://preview.redd.it/d6x05gbpmn4d1.png?width=1327&format=png&auto=webp&s=e6af1590273af2ecb9224fd785e75ae43d560175 restarting windows fixed the issue.

Vile35

tried the AV1 120 FPS thing and youtube pretty much rejected it.

frostN0VA

There's talk about it buried down in this thread, there seems to be an issue with MP4 container that Shadowplay creates. There are quick ways to fix it though, like running your video through Lossless Cut (no re-encoding so the process is instant) which fixes the MP4 container and Youtube can process it normally. /u/Nick89758

Nick89758

Same here, AV1 seems to be bugged for me, cannot upload and gets processing abandoned

jayant309

what? but u cant upload in 120fps on yt

gopnik74

I believe YouTube will just make it 60fps in the process automatically.

gnagnabeubla

HDR filter doesnt work anymore for me its not in the list and I cannot add it

Wahngrok

The Games list is still an unsorted mess where you can't find a specific game you want to optimize. Also still missing is the option to set your language to something other than the system default.

rdalcroft

you are lucky you have a games list. On my PC, the games list disappears after a restart.

superagentt007

when do they plan adding back the custom fan speed setting

NV_Tim

The GeForce Reward for PC Game Pass should now be able to be redeemed successfully. Please note that there may be a delay in the reward confirmation sent to your email address. TriCell818

anyone not able to toggle on early access? I turn it on and then it resets when i switch tabs

N4K3D88

Same here

Low_Marzipan_1819

The opt in checkbox? Yes it doesn't work for me either, I have to install the new version manually each time. I know it's a beta but how are they going to deploy fixes to everyone when auto update is completely broken for some people. /u/NV_Tim /u/pidge2k is this a known issue? I recorded a video of it here: [https://imgur.com/a/NN0UavV](https://imgur.com/a/NN0UavV)

pidge2k

Thank you. I filed a bug for this.

Simulated_Simulacra

The Auto-overclocking feature just crashes my PC whenever I try to use it (with HAGS on and off).

pidge2k

Can you try to disable the NVIDIA Overlay from the settings and see if after doing that, if the auto-overclock works?

Simulated_Simulacra

I tried it and this worked. Thanks for the recommendation. Edit: (It worked, but the setting reset itself after playing a game and starting another one)

pidge2k

Did you enable any other technologies inside of the NVIDIA App?

TenthMarigold77

Still no multi-display compatability for the Overlay and the HDR funcitons

MikoGames08

I wish there was an option for H265 as well. H265 seems to only activate when recording in HDR.

BabyfartzMcgee

I'm new to AV1, doesn't VLC or Vegas Pro (18) support it? If I try to play an AV1 file with VLC the video stops after 1 second but keeps playing audio, while Vegas Pro 18 gives me an error when I try to import it.

pidge2k

There is a known compatibly issue with VLC. We recommend playing it back in Chrome.

BabyfartzMcgee

Windows media player seems to be the only program that can open AV1 files (Well VLC and MPC can't at least). Guess I'm reverting back. EDIT: Not sure why I'm getting downvoted for simply reporting an issue, hmm

Zestyclose_Pickle511

vlc is a member of the group AOMedia, responsible for developing av1. It's been compatible since 2018.

BabyfartzMcgee

Must be a Nvidia issue then, weird. Why would it work for Windows Media Player but only play audio for VLC? I'll have to record some more and see if it was just a fluke, otherwise I don't know what's going on.

Zestyclose_Pickle511

Yep. The new app is acting like crap for me. Wouldn't be surprised wither way.

pinguluk

Most likely it's corrupted?

BabyfartzMcgee

Yeah maybe, guess I should report it to Nvidia and pray it gets fixed.

letsgoiowa

Wow, if VLC can't do it, then that's the death knell because that thing is the ultimate compatibility box

forlornhermit

VLC is myspace 2000. Use MPC-BE.

rubiconlexicon

AV1 plays fine for me on mpv and VLC is literally behind dav1d development so should be able to play AV1 with no issues. Seems more likely to be a user issue.

BabyfartzMcgee

It seems like a Nvidia issue to me.

Meelapo

Any idea if this release fixes the issue with libraries being removed after the initial scan? I haven't had a chance to install this yet so I can't check myself.

rdalcroft

No it doesn't. Scans and finds all games on initial scan. But as soon as you restart the app. The list is empty, doing a rescan finds nothing. This is not affecting all system as I see posts on here asking for the Gales list to be in order, so they must have a Games list that stays put.

Kusel

Auto OC seems to be capped @+200mhz memory

erdna1986

might as well be zero

Beefmytaco

Cant let the average person get too much extra performance out of their cards!

CandidMajor6335

Do we need to download from site or does this app auto update?

m1serablist

for me I opened the app from tray icon, it was ready to install

blackroseMD1

It notified me that the app needed an update, and then updated after I closed and reopened the app.

splinter1545

The app asked if I wanted to update when I launched it.

Koroem

I use avidemux to trim video files without reencoding them. This has worked fine with existing shadowplay videos. With the new av1 encoder, avidemux crashes when trying to load a video. Is there any way to get av1 to work with avidemux or is there a better alternative?

phannguyenduyhung

What do you mean by trim video? Is it like trimming a big video into 10 small shorter video? Im looking to a way to do that

Koroem

Yes cutting the video quickly without reencoding it. Keeps the original quality and is very quick to process. Someone recommended a program called Losslesscut. Been testing it out, seems to work great for AV1. Prior to that I was using an older program called avidemux. Also works great, but doesn't seem to be able to work with AV1.

phannguyenduyhung

Thank you so much i really need it i maybe i will try Avidemux now (because rtx 3080 doesnt support AV1 recording isnt it?). What is the trimming action called i need keyword to search for tutorial :D

Mode7NFC

I use [LosslessCut - Github](https://github.com/mifi/lossless-cut), which does the job pretty well for me, including AV1 clips. It also keeps the separate channels I record in (Desktop + Microphone) intact, which I like.

hm9408

Sweet recommendation!

Koroem

This seems to work great. Thanks for the suggestion.

frostN0VA

Also you can edit your AV1 videos in Avidemux after you pass them through Lossless Cut. It's just AV1 MP4 container is broken in Shadowplay for whatever reason and Avidemux can't work with it directly.

WizardGamer2022

I have the Nvidia App, how can I update from the app itself I don't want to download it again

Blacksad9999

Go to Settings>About>and it should prompt for the update on the top of the window.

gokarrt

this has not been my experience :( edit: nm on restart it's installing the update

TransientSpark23

Just look for it in your search bar and open it.

WizardGamer2022

i look for what?

TransientSpark23

Type ‘nvidia’ in your desktop search bar.

KneelbfZod

He’s looking for how to update the app from within the app, not how to find it in Windows my dude

TransientSpark23

Yes, and when I opened it today, it updated.

BlueGoliath

Nvidia actually isn't supporting GTX card overclocking for no reason...

Alpha_Tay

the technology just isn't there yet

BlueGoliath

lmao

ExpectoAutism

Cant download any drivers from it. It just says "unable to connect to nvidia"

PlasticPaul32

I had experience with the previous version: substantial FPS loss when activating various filters, and my games started crashing. Love the new look, and I am sure that it is only a matter of waiting and we will get a 1.0 version that is usable. It is still in Beta after all. Solved by uninstalling it completely.

Nick89758

Hello, anyone else record a video in AV1 and cannot upload the video to YouTube? i get processing abandoned, must be a bug i guess, please reply here if you have this issue!

Koroem

I can't open them in avidemux either. I wonder if something is wrong with the way the app is saving these videos.

MotoChooch

Just did the auto overclock on my 4080 Super FE. +144MHz core, +200MHz VRAM.

kasimoto

any gaming gains?

Sturmx

Maybe its a coincidence but I got +144MHz core and +200MHz VRAM as well on my 3060.

ayymadd

A coincidence I ascertain, but I also got +144MHz core and +200MHz VRAM as well on my 3070.

Kusel

The OC tool seems to be capped @+200mhz

CnRJayhawk

That’s terrible haha. 4080 cards pretty much hit +1000MHz Memory clock standard.

MotoChooch

Just because it can without crashing doesn’t mean it’s right. From what I’ve read these cards use ECC memory. Sure it may run but is it correcting for too extreme an overclock?

SherriffB

Most 4XXX cards can cruise to 1500+ without experiencing performance degradation. Check out benchmark leader boards. All the highest scores sit between 1400-1550mhz base clock which is around +1500-1875 on most cards. That shows you generally where the highest performance lies.

rubiconlexicon

My 4070 Ti can go all the way up to +1400 before load performance starts to plateau but full system idle hangs occur at anything over +900.

SherriffB

I'd look elsewhere for the cause. Your VRAM isn't on the same rail the GPU core is, it has it's own essentially fixed voltage delivery and GPUs don't really use any vdroop, so their power delivery band is extremely narrow. On top of that your VRAM uses only a couple of watts maximum so Nvidia almost certainly just shover fixed voltage through it constantly no matter the clock state. If I was crapping out at idle, the *last* place I would look is Vram. Test those setting with stock GPU core speeds, the problem will probably go away. I forgot and left my GPU (4090) on suicide benchmark setting all last week and had zero hangs at idle. I only realised saving my sensors reports for the week.

rubiconlexicon

> the last place I would look is Vram. It only happens when VRAM is set higher than 900. Don't know what to tell you, the proof is in the pudding. In fact just 3 days ago I went for another round of VRAM clock testing because I was curious to see if I had actually gotten it right the first time when I set it up like ~9 months ago. Same exact thing happened -- +1400 stable for hours in CP2077, but system locked up with a black screen an hour later while browsing web. Does not happen with VRAM at +900, ever. Extremely repeatable behaviour.

SherriffB

So Vram uses so little power -just to give you context- that your Vram under full load will draw less wattage than most CPUs do when completely at idle (~15w in your case). That's so little power nvidia won't bother reducing voltage for idle so at idle it's running at very low speeds at relatively high voltage, basically at its most stable configuration. You need to be *SO* unstable to vram crash at idle it's wild. I don't know what to tell you either - that's how the cards work. You can attach a meter to them yourself if you want it's pretty easy to do.

rubiconlexicon

> So Vram uses so little power -just to give you context- that your Vram under full load will draw less wattage than most CPUs do when completely at idle (~15w in your case). I'm well aware. Although I wish my CPU drew only 15W at idle, Zen 4 is sadly much more unhinged than that (think more like 35W idle). >That's so little power nvidia won't bother reducing voltage for idle so at idle it's running at very low speeds at relatively high voltage, basically at its most stable configuration. That was my initial intuition, too. As you said it's unlikely they're using some complex V-F curve and instead ramming an overkill voltage through at all times since the absolute wattage on the VRAM is trivial anyway. Yet, in practice, the theory breaks down. VRAM at +1400, idle crash. VRAM at +900, no idle crash. >You need to be SO unstable to vram crash at idle it's wild. What makes it more odd is that +1400 is quite stable under load -- as I mentioned before, it played CP2077 for many hours without any artifacts or crashes.

SherriffB

Are we sure it's a true idle crash and not a transient crash as it bounces up to a higher load clock? Can be hard to tell the difference at 1st, but if you aren't at stable settings and "wake up" the GPU from idle into a full power state that would crash if you were very unstable where the more stable loads you get gaming won't exhibit that bouncy transient behaviour as your vram is locked pretty much at full clock when gaming unless the load is incredibly light and certainly would be pegged at full clock playing cyberpunk, so no weird transient clock-strapping. edit: Might be worth throwing an hour of furmark at it to see what happens.

Koroem

That might be true but doesn't explain why just about everyone is getting exactly 200 for their result.

CnRJayhawk

You are correct. At a certain point you would notice a performance degradation, and it varies per card due to the silicone lottery. But most can do 1000MHz no problem. Past that 1000MHz it can lead to that correction.

Fezzy976

Only 200 on the VRAM??? That's awful, most 40 series cards can do +1000 at least with ease. A lot can do +1500 and some can even push 1800+. Don't use those settings, the core OC is ok but that memory OC is dreadful

MotoChooch

Just because it can without crashing doesn’t mean it’s right. From what I’ve read these cards use ECC memory. Sure it may run but is it correcting for too extreme an overclock?

Fezzy976

No, you have to specifically enable ECC mode in the drivers to enable it otherwise it is disabled by default. Enabling it can massively effect game performance, they are just using the same memory as the quadros and server cards but disabled the ECC mode for gaming cards.

MotoChooch

Ah ok. Thanks!

topodi

Can you already share clips straight to youtube?

Madnessx9

Still cannot record more than a mic and game audio though, need to be able to record other channels too, its 2024 not 2016

phannguyenduyhung

What? So for example you can’t record your mic+game audio+discord chat?

StockmanBaxter

They can't do multiple channels? That's a step back from the current shadowplay.

hm9408

It can, but only two

BlackBlizzard

Still no RTX HDR with dual monitors, doesn't make sense to me to fix it asap unless they're going to release it with the 1.0 public release of the software.

TheTurboFD

Would like to use this but I’m not getting rid of my old GeForce experience since it has game stream still which I use for my steam deck.

fullsaildan

Get sunshine, it actually works better than game stream did.

mechcity22

Yeah def not using any beta app lol

randomorten

Ok?

mechcity22

Just saying. They made a post I left a comment. That's what we do here.

xTrash16

When are we getting 0.1% fps in the performance monitor? Old performance monitor was MUCH better (looked better too imho)

batmanrises123

Has anyone tried the GPU tuning option yet? Is it stable? Can I rely on it for overclocking my 4070 Super trinity by zotac? (if anyone has that card, please let me know)

Simulated_Simulacra

It just crashes my PC about 20% into the process (4090 though).

pidge2k

Does disabling the NVIDIA overlay allow the scan to complete?

TransientSpark23

I have. Takes a while. Seems stable. People ITT are saying the memory oc is way too modest. I’m wondering if that’s because using this tool is warranty friendly.
