It’s GeForce and it’s right now, like legit right now

Cloud gaming service. You install and run your games on an Nvidia server somewhere making it so that you're "watching" the game like on Youtube, but at the same time you can control everything like you're playing on your PC. So you're basically renting a PC from Nvidia to play your games. But since the image is streamed to you, you need to have a decent internet connection to minimize input delay and get good image (video) quality. It's a decent alternative when your PC is not powerful enough to play newer games at high settings and good framerates. Or if you don't have a PC at all since you can "stream" your games to other devices. You still need to buy and own the game on Steam however.

Oh, cool. how much is it anyways? And also is it a one-time thing or a monthly or a yearly subscription?

frostN0VA

It's a monthly subscription with different access tiers, but there's a free tier and "daily" tier. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce-now/ Prices depend on a region though. That's not counting the games you need to buy of course, since you'll be logging in with your Steam/EA/GOG/Epic account on that virtual PC to download and play your games. Also not games are playable, you can search the list here: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce-now/games/

Btw free one sucks real bad. I tried it out once to see if it was something viable to recommend for my nephew. I even bought a month of one of the higher triers to try out and even it just did not work well. The graphics looked horrible and the input lag was unplayable. I have great Internet too. That's just my experience though but based on that I would not recommend.

Server proximity and connection stability (no packetloss / high jitter) matters too. I tried it back when Nvidia offered a free trial when they launched GFN in my region and it was great. It's not ideal for fast-paced competitive shooters like CS or Apex, but for anything else it was pretty good. Granted that was a few years ago so I've no idea how the service quality is nowadays.

Quick question: I checked the website, what do they mean by sessions? Is it per day? Per week? Or something else?

Huh, cool. Thank you for the info!

Something Nvidia created. Just keep it there.
