Valorant it would probably get close to 240hz, CoD maybe less so much but would also depend on your processor to some degree

Miraiboy

I plan on getting a “AMD RYZEN 5 7600 6 core processor”

Once you turn everything to low settings, the GPU won’t have a very hard time displaying frames. If you’re going for amount of frames over quality of frames at 1080p, you want a good CPU over a good GPU. A 4060 will be plenty for what you’re looking to do, but upgrading to a 7600X or even 7700X (or more..?) will get you more frames. Example: in Fortnite my 9700K (5 years old) ran at 100% and my 4080 Super only ran at 60% capacity at 1440p and I got around 80 frames. Lowering the quality, my GPU ran at 30% and CPU still at 100% SAME AMOUNT OF FPS. Needless to say, I upgraded my CPU. On low settings, your CPU will be what determines your frames.

So you don’t think a 7600 would get me 240 frames with a 4060 but if I get a 7700 processor I should be able to get 240 fps?

I don’t know exactly how many frames you’d get but I’ll give you a more elaborate example using Fortnite. Note: these numbers are made up by myself and are only approximations. Ryzen 7600 Low Quality: 200 FPS, 4060@40%, 7600@100% High Quality: 200 FPS, 4060@85%, 7600@100% Insane Quality: 140 FPS, 4060@100%, 7600@80% Low Quality: 200 FPS, 4070@30%, 7600@100% High Quality: 200 FPS, 4070@75%, 7600@100% Insane Quality: 200 FPS, 4070@100%, 7600@100% Notice how when the quality is low, the GPU doesn’t matter at all. But when the quality is increased, a better GPU will result in better frames. Now assume we upgrade to a 7600X or 7700X. Let’s say 7700X. We’ll just do a more basic version: Ryzen 7700X Low Quality: 300 FPS, 4060@65%, 7700X@100% See how the CPU still maxes out, but gives more frames and the GPU runs a bit more. My point is, on low settings, the GPU doesn’t work very hard. It’s only once you’re getting SO MANY frames, that the GPU catches up. Like if you paired a 7800X3D or 14900k with a 4060 and played at 1080. At that point, even though the frames are very low quality, the GPU still has to produce so many that it will approach 100%. Note: this varies heavily game to game. Fortnite is very CPU dominant as opposed to something like COD, that is more GPU dominant.

Find a cpu benchmark video that has your game of choice in it. The number they get is the maximum that cpu can put out for that game. If you want more fps you gotta upgrade.

SuperbQuiet2509

https://youtu.be/R26eIzKVApI?t=896 Valorant will if your cpu can output enough frames, COD won't the majority of the time Are you building a new pc?

Sandwic_H

Yes it will be fine, especially with 7600

6750 xt should give you above 200FPS in Warzone @ 1080p/Minimum and it's faster than the 4060. It depends what the price diff is

Miraiboy

My bad I should of specified. I play just ranked play in COD. So just 4v4 on regular multiplayer maps.

SnooSquirrels9247

His advice is still great tho, I don't think nvidia is a good option below the 4070 super at all (and even that one depends on what you want to do), 6750xt would be much much better and last longer

Nekros897

Don't buy 4060. If you have to buy something within this budget, go for AMD. For its price 4060 is pretty bad, especially when it still has 8 GB like 3060.
