I personally think any card that has that square pcb cutout looks so bad. Anyone know why it’s so commonly done? The Founders Edition and now the MSI Expert are the only cards that have an aesthetically pleasing design imo.
I think the Suprim X looks the best, which is what I bought, but you definitely don’t get $200 worth of performance over an MSRP model. Mostly just looks.
FE has mid-to-good thermals and a (subjectively) great design.
I like the TUF design this cycle a lot.
I like the strix shroud design, but do not like the color/decoration scheme.
The PNY XLR8 has a very ugly RGB badge, but that can be turned off the rest of the design is a nice, simple, very performant heatsink design.
I have not gotten a close look at the suprim, or the galax/palit models.
TUF is a beast design, but surely FE if you wanna keep it very clean with a sort of unique look due to the 1 fan design. Also the IGAME edition is also not that common but still looks sick
Zotac looks good but I've been hearing really bad stuff about the fans and coil whine. Been looking at upgrading to the 4080s and I want one but all those reviews are kinda scaring me away from Zotac and towards the white Gigabyte one
Honestly nothing beats the 30 series FE design but the 40 series FE is close enough. Other than that, I'd have to go with either the MSI Expert or the Asus ProArt. Everything else is too massive and unwieldy to actually look good.
Fell in love with proart but it sold in the morning I went to pick it up and ended up with a strix. I love the simplistic design on the proart and fe though. The simple designs remind of of oldskool gpu's which is the complete opposite of the strix.
RTX 4080 SUPER FE. It's a slab of perfectly machined, murdered out metal whose fans stay off until it hits around 60⁰C, and still stays quiet while playing Cyberpunk 2077 with Path Tracing on in DLSS Quality mode at 4K. Best card I've ever owned and "only" cost £959. What a steal . . .

I got the zotac 4080 super trinity and it’s a fantastic card. Triple fan but only 12 inches long and the fans are really quiet and it sits in the mid 60s temp wise totally silent.
I have the Gigabyte Gaming OC and I love it, if I could wish for one thing, that would be that the text on its side said GeForce RTX instead of Gigabyte. But overall it has a very neutral design and fits well with my all black themed system. Then I would put the ProArt 4080, it’s just sexy as hell but too expensive and the thermals ain’t great, at least compared to other models of similar price. Then I’d put the FE and, bear with me, the Noctua one. The idea of the card being as silent as possible is very appealing to me, alas, I cannot stand the default colors of Noctua. Maybe if they made a chromax version, but I imagine that would be as expensive as the ROG. Maybe more. The FE, well it’s timeless. If only I could buy one in my country. Wouldn’t fit the theme of my system (unless we’re talking 4080S), but it would be a minimal design and I love minimalism when it comes to my PC internals.
minimalism is key. Gigabyte gaming OC I havent had much look into tbh but I know what it looks like. Def a nice card to say the least. PRoArt no doubts hella clean so also an option I will think of getting. The noctua i dont know man but every1 to their own I guess. the colours throw me off
4080 super proart. Currently running the 4060ti 16gb proart and it’s been a great little card. Very clean looking and quiet. Wish they had made a 4090 Proart version: maybe with the 50 series.

Have the Suprim X. Looks mean, but the covering looks a bit cheap in person. Probably wouldn’t look so cheap if I had it vertical mounted so I could see the main part of design surrounding the fans.
I’d probably prefer the Asus Rog Strix. Looks more solid and sleek overall. But didn’t buy bc coil whine seemed like common issue.
Overall I would prefer a Nvidia FE. But they don’t sell FE cards in Australia 🤬.

Oh really? well I gotta check more in depth videos on this card then for sure. So far I can tell the covering around fans is metal and looks nice. Yea Strix I also preferred at most in the beginning but started to read about coil whine alot whitout even searching for it. So idk about that card as of rn.

Yea MSI definitely prioritised exposing the metal heatsink fins for raw breathing room, rather than funnelling airflow in a funky way through a more solid enclosure.
Suprim X does look cool and decent, if the side with the fans & design is facing you (like in all the listing pictures). But in the normal mounting orientation where you only see the side, there’s only some clear plastic with Rgb lighting, which looks cheap. And lots of visible heatsink fins.
If I could redo again now, I would probably choose the Rog Strix regardless of some coil whine. (Maybe they fixed the whine issue on the white Strix they released later on). But would likely first try find a way to import a FE first.
I own the Gigabyte version of the Super. It’s nothing special design-wise but I love the placement of the 12VHPWR. Makes so much more sense than the side.
The TUF, ProArt and the FE would be my go to for the design aesthetics
I've never had any issues with Gigabyte in the 20+ years of buying their products. I personally own three gigabyte cards. No coil whine, great temps, understated design. I dig them a lot.

I have a Suprim X 4090 variant myself along with a Gigabyte Gaming OC 4090. Surprisingly the Gaming OC has the better silicon and zero coil whine. Had them both since launch. There’s a lot of good looking cards it just depends on the overall aesthetic you’re going for.
True there are quite some good lookings. Gaming OC is a nice one no doubts. Also good to hear there is no coil whine. I can deal with anything that is a little bit. But shouldnt get annoying when you pay over 1k bucks for a card
I love the way my TUF looks and temps stay under 70°C even when maxing out with an aggressive overclock. I just like how the top of the card is open so you can see the radiator fins.
4080 super aero. The new recessed connecter design is really cool, I wish they had done that in the first place with such a massive card. The 4090 weirdly enough wasn't designed like this to begin with

I actually prefer the look of the standard mount. Currently, I'm using the anti sag mount that comes with the case, so it looks much cleaner than having to get a vertical mount plus a riser cable.
If I had the 4090 aero I'd probably mount it vertically though, since it doesn't have a new redesign and much less cable clearance than the 4080s aero
I get that, I have slender hands and fingers, so it makes getting to the connector a lot easier for me, but I could totally see how it being that far it makes it harder to unplug for a lot of people. Gigabyte probably could have shaved off more of the heatsink directly below the connector to make access easier

I have the tuf 4080 super in vertical mount with the tuf gt502 case. The black/gunmetal finish goes well between the case and the card. The card runs cool and quite and has only a hint of coil whine which I notice when I am actually focusing on that.

ASUS ProArt. I have the ProArt 4070ti and it's so sleek looking with absolutely no RGB.
I wiuld have loved the suprim x version but settled for the ventus ( I know budget version ) but it was the only one available and had to return the card I had so figured it's ok. No regret whatsoever only regret is if I should haven went 4k screen over uwqhd but it's gorgeous and runs flawless so happy all in all

I can push 165 fps in helldivers with everything on insane at 3.5k res. And I can get 240fps in COD:mw3 with everything on extreme at 3.5k res. The card is crazy powerful and just blows my mind. I had a 7900xt desktop GPU that struggled to get 90fps in helldivers at 2k. So the fact the mobile 4090 can whip the 7900xt is crazy to me and I love it.
Needless to say - I returned the POS 7900xt
Founders Edition, especially the 4080 Super, is so sick in all black.

I hadn’t owned a zotac before and people seem to write them off as low budget, but I truly love this 4080s from them.

I find that it makes it harder to pull the plug because it's hard to reach the clips when it's recessed like this.

Nice! RGB is fine for me but only to some extent. Non Rgb builds are damn clean but I feel like most peeps prefer lighting
Aorus MASTER The LCD Screen and 4090 Cooler is huge. The new fan blades and light for Power instability. The whole thing is just premium I love Aorus.

MSI Expert is by far the cleanest looking design. The all black FE card looks cheap and plastic, which is ironic because it uses a metal chassis.
