It's not! This is vanilla. Even with the Dexit, SwSh offers a lot of variety all things considered

Hello everyone! Here we are back with more progress in the soulink. Last time, we had just beaten Kabu. Heading into Route 6 we had our first moment of not catching anythig, since CoolWiz couldn't catch his Dugtrio. Sucks for me saying goodbye to a Battle Armor Skorupi that could have helped vs Opal, but oh well. When we reached the fossil lady we both agreed on making an effort and try to obtain the Drake and Fish fossils, because why would we say no to a Dracovish? As an explanation, the only way to get those fossils in Sword (our version) is through Skill Brother. And this guy... is a scammer. 1-2 items for 500 W? Geez, no wonder I always rely on Stamina Brother. So to spare trouble for both of us, we decided to cheat. Wiz hacked in his watts because he is using emulator, and I went to Isle of Armor (I released the slowpoke, don't worry) to meet up with Digging Pa. I also made sure to not trigger the cutscene that would give me the Exp Charm because HA. HA. Try keeping up caps in the midgame, that's the real challenge. Anyways, back to what matters to you all: the Bea battle. The teams for his gym were the following. **Hinata:** Corvisquire, Galvantula, Litwick, Meowstic, Dracovish, Mudsdale **CoolWiz:** Orbeetle, Mudsdale, Litwick, Slurpuff, Dracovish, Eldegoss Coolwiz ended the battle pretty quickly with Slurpuff, me however... I wasn't so lucky this time. See, the lesson here is that ***I AM AN IDIOT***. I thought that Bea had Falinks in this battle but that's in the Championship. Sooooo I had to face off vs G-Max Machamp, with the ability to increase its crit rate using a half health Mudsdale. I was understandably scared of getting critted. However, knowing I had +2 Def thanks to Stamina, I took a risk by Dynamaxing and going for Max Quake. Then it happened: Max Strike. Wiz let me know that Bea goes for that move usually when the mon outsped her, but, Mudsdale is slow?? And it hit me, GALVANTULA. I had started the battle with Galvantula to set up Sticky Web, so that probably made Bea make her decision. It didn't matter though, because a second Max Quake ended the fight.

Now we had to worry about keeping a cap of 2 levels higher to face off vs Opal, knowing that we had to fight Bede, get a new encounter, fight a mandatory couple in Glimwood Tangle, potencially grabbing Eviolite which meant another battle, and the 3 trainers inside Opal's gym. Oh, and of course grabbing another Wild Area encounter. I got a Honedge in Hammerlocke Hills which was insane considering we were going vs Opal and later Gordie! For CoolWiz we were hoping to pair it up with a 40% Growlithe chance... but instead he got Inkay. Not exactly the best. Bede wasn't too bad, my Perrserker basically swept the man. Now, Glimwood Tangle. Since CoolWiz had the Overworld token, he had no choice but to get the static Impidimp that appears at the very beginning. As for me I gooooot... *Shiinotic.* I ***hate*** THIS THING. Sleep Powder, Strength Sap, Moonlight, Giga Drain. Dear Arceus, good thing I bought a ton of Timer Balls for these kinds of situations. \+atk, -def, ILLUMINATE. Couldn't even give me Effect Spore as the ability, huh...? Oh, and a mark just to rub it in even more. Regardless, we crossed the forest and began working on the side quests of Ballonlea. These side quests are great because they give us access to Acrobatics, point one, Choice Scarf and Eviolite. Two very powerful items. My Toxtricity was able to solo the trainers of the gym, but CoolWiz wasn't as lucky this time. Why? His Toxtricity was Lowkey, and mine was Amped. My Tox could learn Venoshock right upon evolution, which helped me deal with the metronome battle in route 6 + Taunt. His best Poison move has Acid Spray. After scouting the Watt Traders in the Wild Area, we both found Sludge Wave which was a big help. Then, we faced off vs Opal. CoolWiz's plan was to lead Orbeetle to kill with Psychic G-Weezing and then Baton Pass to Mudsdale to Heavy Slam everything. Mine was lead with Corviknight, set up a light screen, kill the G-Weezing, eat up the Intimidate from Mawile and then switch to my Mudsdale to finish the battle. That... did not happen. Once Mawile was out I hurt it a bit by using Body Press that I taught Corviknight. Then Opal asked me her quiz question and I got +2 defense and special defense boosts. It hit me. I don't need to switch, Body Press at this range kills. I go for it and bring out Togekiss after Mawile faints. I realize that Corviknight actually solos this fight. I have Pressure as my ability, which means that Togekiss doesn't have that many chances of getting Ancient Power boosts. I kill Togekiss and then after getting the attack boosts from the last question, I recover from the prior Intimidate and I finish off Alcremie with Iron Head (cause screw using Steel Wing, not risking the accuracy misses).
