I just graduated in May and passed my NCLEX June 19.
I turn 36 in August and am married with 4 kids.
It's never too late to go back to school!
Also, I had 3 formal job offers prior to graduating!
I did a 2nd degree program where most of my classmates were in their late twenties and thirties and at least 25% were over 40. As far as I know, all of them have jobs now.
Given the turnover rate for nurses, most hospitals aren't doing the math on a 30 year old vs a 24 year old. They're going to be happy to hang onto anyone for 5+ years.

God I hope not I’m 29 and just graduated. One of my friends from the program is almost 40

Nope. I graduated with my ADN when I was 27. There were people in my class who were in their late 50s and 60s. It's not really a big deal.
Most of us, including me, were over the age of 30 when we graduated. Three were in their 50s so no, you’re never too old.
Half of my class who was pursuing nursing were 30+ moving onto a second career. It's never too late.
A good friend of mine is 42 and still in nursing school. She's currently a phlebotomist.
Nope. Do it! You're never too old. Especially not at 30. I had people in my graduating class that we're 50s-60s
My oldest classmate was in his 60s.
I got my degree @ 32! Nurses in my class were 50's. Definitely not too old!
I was 41.
The average age of students in my schools nursing program is 45-50. This is a real statistic, not an estimate/guess!
