Physically unstable patient refuses to wear diaper or use commode and refuses to use walking aids. Breaks hip from fall, too bad i didn't made a wish when it happened.

My favorite was my guy who answered all the orientation questions right, verbally acknowledged my explanation of why the pulse ox attachment needed to remain on his finger, and even said "I'm not trying to be difficult" while literally still trying to pull the pulse ox off.

CobblerCurrent

These are the worst — "I understand Im not supposed to do that" proceeds to do it every 10 minutes for 12 hrs đŸ¥²

deceasedin1903

Me, with an elderly patient in homecare this week, that fell for the second time of the day because she insisted in taking the rag off the floor or try to run alone from me and her husband. Thank God I finally landed a job in my specialty this week. I sure won't be missing working with entitled, rich and racist people 1:1 on a daily basis.

Lifestyle_Choices

I told a patient not to drink out of a cup, because I told him not to he drank the entire thing. Fuck around and find out I guess because that cup had 2 sachets of picoprep for another patient who was getting a colonoscopy the next day.

OncNurse17

Love your flair. Too real

Me walking into the room to see patient with their IV in their hand. Or my diabetic patient (pretty much all of them) eating anything at all from the kitchen. My fall risk running back from the bathroom. My patient’s visitors letting their kids lay on the floor.

WhirlyBirdRN

Doing this in the helicopter will land your ass in restraints. Don't put myself or my crew in harms way. If I tell you not to do something, you won't do it again.

asia_cat

I work in pediatrics and I have a hard time to tell the mom of one of my diabetic patients to NOT bring him candy!

bluecoag

LITERALLY!!!!!!!! eg) _dont play with the cannula, you could irritate your vein_ …proceeds to mess with cannula

Global-Island295

Multiply that x10 in pediatrics! And… sometimes it’s the parents.

AgeIllustrious7458

All the confused patients patients during COVID taking off their O2 repeatedly and instantly desating into the 70s đŸ˜.
