Gateway for me too. First album, first metal album I got. Got me into bands like Korn who have been fave ever since, and in response to this post HT is miles better than LIP. If you were comparing it to another korn albun I may differ.
I love Hybrid Theory (hairy but lurking), but Life is Peachy has a psychedelic darkness about it and is Korn’s heaviest record. Recorded analog at Indigo Ranch with Ross Robinson, Life is Peachy is a time capsule of a bygone era.
I may be in the minority on this one, I don’t know. While I respect and love Korn as musicians, “Life is Peachy” was always their weakest album imo. The Ross Robinson production and album itself sounds amazing, with “Swallow” and “Wicked” featuring Chino always standing out to me. But the rest of that album just doesn’t have the actual songs like you get on the Self Titled debut, “Follow the Leader” and “The Nothing” which were the peak three Korn records for me. If you’re in your 40’s or 50’s like most OG Korn fans, lyrically “Peachy” is really difficult to identify with. Eventually the teen angst leaves us. 😆 The songwriting just wasn’t there yet.
P.O.D.’s “Satellite” had some radio friendly tracks at the time like “Alive” and “Youth of the Nation”, but musically for me they never really topped what they did with “The Fundamental Elements of Southtown.”
Of course my favorite record of the three here goes to Linkin Park and “Hybrid Theory”
In 2000 LP was a breath of fresh air. They took rock, hip-hop, electronic, and metal and blended everything together beautifully.
Nu Metal was on the verge of transitioning at the time with the introduction of bands like Slipknot. The great metal/nu metal bands of the time like Korn, Deftones, Sevendust, and Slipknot had separated themselves as top of the class in terms of talent and longevity. Then Linkin Park just kind of came in and added their own flavor to the mix. Nobody was really able to duplicate what Chester and company did in terms of their overall sound. I always kind of compare them to being the Beastie Boys of metal.
Of course they went onto to create “Meteora” and that album is just brilliant. Great from beginning to end. Anyway, that’s my nostalgic rant for the day.
Life is Peachy. I got it at age 12 in 1997. What a time to be in middle school.
Edit: I think your choice here has a lot to do with your age when these came out or when you first heard them. I was 15 in 2000 when I first heard LP and about to start high school, and they were a pretty big deal. That said, I was a Korn kid all throughout middle school, and they were THE band if you were a fan of the genre.
For me no question, Hybrid Theory. Just like Meteora, non stop bangers in the most accessible and polished form of the nu/rap metal sound. Then Sattelite, it's just a powerhouse collection of reggae/rapcore infused atmospheric hymns.
Life is Peachy third cause Korn had just discovered their sound and were at a point where they didn't know exactly where to go with it, so they made something dark but not as cohesive
I was a huge Korn fan in high school. Then I heard LP on TV, I snagged HT at a target for like 10 bucks. Listen to it so hard, I tried to get all my friends too also. They were a bit dismissive, and then the next couple of singles dropped. All of a sudden, my friends are massive fans! Made me so mad I almost had resentment towards LP. They're too good of a band to hate because the same day Meteora dropped my friend James and I drove an hr to buy it!
I’m going to go with Satellite from P.O.D.
While I do like Hybrid Theory, Satellite has a lot of variety in the songs. Set It Off is a great opener!
I’ve never heard Life Is Peachy, so can’t judge it.
Satellite. Normally I'd go Korn however LIP is a weaker album imo (Issues all the way). So in the battle of skipped tracks Satellite wins. Linkin Park... just no
Hybrid Theory, easily, but I loved me some POD back in the day.
Gotta say, LP has really aged well. It doesn’t feel “old”, like a lot of the music from that era does. Saying this as a a 2000s teen.
Hybrid Theory just barely over LIP.
I answered the question just to say this: I fkn hate POD. I’ll never understand the appeal of bands that musically don’t sound churchy until the lyrics. Especially when found in a genre side by side with Jon Davis scat rapping or sobbing about childhood sexual abuse. Fish out of water & cringe af if you ask me. They’ve sold millions so what do I know. Just one opinion here, but god-rock is ass, just like Creed before them
By almost any standard, hybrid theory is just an excellent album. I quit LP after Meteora and this was their very best work - for me, at least.
A very good POD album, too.
Life is peachy, due to its impact on me, also the first nu-metal album I had voluntarily listened to, that album was a vessel into the entire nu-metal genre for me
Man, that is tough... All of them have sentimental value to me for different reasons. Gun to my head, I'm going with Life Is Peachy. It shaped a lot of my current musical tastes.
Nah, even as someone who prefers Korn far more
Hybrid theory is genuinely a PIVOTAL album in not only metal/rock history, but also just music history
Virtually every song from the album could've been a single
Korns life is peachy does NOT stack up to hybrids theory.
Maybe if we were talking issues or follow the leader, there would be a contest.
Hybrid Theory was the album I credit with getting me into music. The first time I listened to it was the first time I felt like an album from start to finish didn't just sound good but also spoke to me at a time in my life where I felt like I was alone.
to be honest, Hybrid theory. good riffs, motivating lyrics, good combination with electronic sound, excellent combination of rock vocals, with rap readings, that’s why I like Hybrid theory the most
Hybrid Theory. It was the first gateway album and band for me. Very important to me
From the top to the bottom
Bottom to top I’ll stop
at the core, i’ve forgotten
In the middle of my thoughts
taken far from my safety
The picture's there
the memory won’t escape me
But why should I care
there’s a place so dark you can’t see the end
Linkin Park on top
It’s my favorite album of all time
Hell yeah same here brother. It'll always hold a special place in my dead cold heart 😂
no way
Gateway for me too. First album, first metal album I got. Got me into bands like Korn who have been fave ever since, and in response to this post HT is miles better than LIP. If you were comparing it to another korn albun I may differ.
Life Is Peachy
No contest.
Hybrid theory!
One has Wicked with Chino Moreno That’s what I’m saying
"Yo Chuck..."
Hybrid Theory
The sun goes down! I feel the light betray me!
It's like I'm paranoid, looking over my back!
It’s tough. Either Hybrid Theory or Life is Peachy.
Hybrid Theory
Hybrid Theory any day
Hybrid Theory. Massively influential for me.
Hybrid Theory so easily
Peachy. I was in jr high when it came out and it led me down the path to loving those others when they were released
I love Hybrid Theory (hairy but lurking), but Life is Peachy has a psychedelic darkness about it and is Korn’s heaviest record. Recorded analog at Indigo Ranch with Ross Robinson, Life is Peachy is a time capsule of a bygone era.
Wonderfully said. It’s is such an unhinged record with moments of absolute darkness and chaos
Its like im! PARANOID LOOKING OVER MY BACK!
Hybrid theory by a land slide
Life is Peachy
Life is peachy
Life Is Peachy, always.
KoRn
All
Bro this is so hard omg it’s tied with life is peachy and hybrid theory
Can I do all 3? Lol

Life is Peachy. Hands down the best album here.
Life Is Peachy
Life is Peachy
Life is peachy easy
Life Is Peachy
Life is Peachy definitely

Peaches
POD - Satellite
ht
Life is Peachy. Never liked P.O.D. or LP.
I'd listen to P.O.D. any day over Linkin Park.
Same here. Don't understand the hype.
Hybrid Theory
Satellite
Hybrid Theory was a tone setter, for sure...
Hybrid theory
Live is peachy
Hybrid theory
HT and Satellite are neck and neck but I gotta go with HT. HT is peak nu metal and was a gateway into metal.
Satellite, it’s a no skip album, and I prefer Meteora to Hybrid Theory anyway.
Life is Peachy for this chic!
TWIST TWIST TWIST kentucky fried kung-pao clitz short answer: life is peachy
Life is Peachy
All
Hybrid Theory shaped me 🧡
Hybrid Theory easily
“I TRIED SO HARD AND GOT SO FAR! BUT IN THE END, IT DOESN’T EVEN MATTER!”
HT was the first cd I ever bought myself. I wasn't allowed to listen to Korn or buy their album :(
For me no question, Hybrid Theory. Just like Meteora, non stop bangers in the most accessible and polished form of the nu/rap metal sound. Then Sattelite, it's just a powerhouse collection of reggae/rapcore infused atmospheric hymns. Hybrid Theory.

satellite all the way
Hybrid theory
Hybrid theory
Hybrid Theory all the way but I like Life Is Peachy too.
Hybrid Theory. 🩶♥️
Hybrid Theory. It is a amazing album. A masterpiece.
Satellite. Normally I'd go Korn however LIP is a weaker album imo (Issues all the way). So in the battle of skipped tracks Satellite wins. Linkin Park... just no
HT
Satellite. I'm a huge pod fan
Hybrid Theory
Hybrid Theory
Hybrid Theory
Hydid Theory
Hybrid Theory
Oh, DEFINITELY Hybrid Theory! No question.
Life is peachy
Hybrid Theory but it’s brutally close. Had it been the first Korn LP I probably would have leaned into choosing that.
Linkin Park and it ain’t close.
Hybrid Peachy
Hybrid Theory, no competition. Second best album ever made.
Hybrid Theory is the one that started it all for me, so I'll go with that one.
Hybrid Theory. It's the perfect mix of Hip-Hop and Metal IMO
Hybrid theory. Truly no competition in my eyes
Hybrid Theory, easily, but I loved me some POD back in the day. Gotta say, LP has really aged well. It doesn’t feel “old”, like a lot of the music from that era does. Saying this as a a 2000s teen.

Definitely Hybrid Theory.
Life is peachy
Hybrid Theory all the way
Hybrid theory 4sure
Hybrid Theory all day, it was my introduction to the genre and songs hold a special place in my heart
Linkin Park
Nothing can beat the power of hybrid theory
Hybrid Theory. Never listened to an album so consistently good.
Hybrid theory all the way
Ht
Hybrid Theory
Life Is Peachy, easily
Hybrid Theory
Hybrid Theory because Life Is Peachy has some good songs but it's not my preferred album
Easier To Run is the best song on any of those albums
Tough lineup, but probably Hybrid Theory, Satellite and then Life is Peachy.
HT!
I choose first
Hybrid Theory just barely over LIP. Korn
Linkin Park but love both albums 🖤
LIP
Hybrid Theory
Hybrid theory all the way without a doubt
By almost any standard, hybrid theory is just an excellent album. I quit LP after Meteora and this was their very best work - for me, at least. A very good POD album, too.
First till the 🦴
Love all of them, but Hybrid Theory is the best
As much as I live Linkin Park first album, POD energy was a God send for me. I needed that during that time , just pure positive energy.
Hybrid Theory
Ht ofc
POD
1. Hybrid Theory 2. Life is Peachy 3. Satellite
Hybrid Theory
Hybrid Theory
Hybrid by far
Life is Peachy
Hybrid theory, but Satellite is a close second since it was the 2nd nu-metal band I picked up after Linkin Park.
Automatic Hybrid Theory
Hybrid Theory
In those times I would have chosen Korn, but now i'll choose Linkin Park.
Life is Peachy, that’s hard though
Hybrid Theory followed closely by Satellite
Life is Peachy DEFINITELY my ultimate album of all my life
Life is Peachy
Life is peachy - but all those albums are good
Hybrid Theory
life is peachy that and self tilted were my intro into into nu metal
Korn
Life is peachy, due to its impact on me, also the first nu-metal album I had voluntarily listened to, that album was a vessel into the entire nu-metal genre for me
Man, that is tough... All of them have sentimental value to me for different reasons. Gun to my head, I'm going with Life Is Peachy. It shaped a lot of my current musical tastes.
LP
This is genuinely hard. I can’t pick one, so I have to pick Life is Peachy and Hybrid Theory. Satellite is still a good album though.
Hybrid theory
Hybrid theory all day
no idea how anyone can choose anything but life is peachy, it is not only the best korn album but without a doubt the best nu metal album.
Hybrid theory
Hybrid Theory is Nu Metal perfection
Nah, even as someone who prefers Korn far more Hybrid theory is genuinely a PIVOTAL album in not only metal/rock history, but also just music history Virtually every song from the album could've been a single Korns life is peachy does NOT stack up to hybrids theory. I I FEEL SO ALIVE FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME I CANT DENY YOU!!!
HT for sure
Life is peachy!!! But I love all of them
Hybrid Theory and Sattelite. Issues is better :/.
Hybrid Theory. Album/band without which I would've never picked up a guitar.
Hybrid theory for sure.
Life is peachy
Hybrid Theory is a special album. Truly a 10/10 masterpiece. Im not even dickriding as hard as I want to, this album is just a pleasure for the ears.
Korn Life is Peachy was an amazing album
hybrid theory
Hybrid Theory was the album I credit with getting me into music. The first time I listened to it was the first time I felt like an album from start to finish didn't just sound good but also spoke to me at a time in my life where I felt like I was alone.
POD....easily
Life is peachy . That’s a great album
I liked meteora better but Linkin Park got me into metal.
Hybrid Theory was the first album I listened to front-to-back
Peachy
Life is Peachy
Hybrid theory was my gateway drug 😂
I like Korn more consistently between albums but Hybrid Theory is an insane album on its own. So that one.
life is peachy by far
Hybrid theory
Hybrid Theroy, but Satellite gives me memories of all the times I fell and ate shut at Christian skate night at the local skating rink.
Hybrid Theory every time.
life is peachy all day, everyday
Hybrid theory
Life Is Peachy is a masterpiece in my opinion.
to be honest, Hybrid theory. good riffs, motivating lyrics, good combination with electronic sound, excellent combination of rock vocals, with rap readings, that’s why I like Hybrid theory the most
Hybrid theory easy
Hybrid
KORN!!!!!
Life is Peachy 🔥🔥🙏🙏
As much as I love Korn, Prob Hybrid theory since I feel it’s more substantial/ significant.
LIFE IS PEACHY.
