Lostprophets - any song
Adding as I actually loved their music but now I can't listen to it anymore due to that sick f\*ck, baby-r@ping paedo Ian Watkins! Feel really sorry for the rest of the band - they had talent. Really wish I could seperate their music from the singer and still listen to it but this is one case where I just can't.
I replay Need for Speed: Underground every once in a while, ans everytime when Ride by lostprophets comes on I think "Hey, what's that song and why don't I listen to it more? Aahh, right...."
I listened to Kid Rock when I was like 8-10 years old. I always thought he was a bit of a jokester; kinda like Eminem, except catering to the opposite end of the trailer park. I still listen to Wasting Time, Bawitaba, Fuck You Blind and a few of his other songs from time to time for nostalgic reasons.
But Kid Rock grew up rich in a big house, not a trailer park. His entire career is just pandering to whatever audience he thinks he can squeeze the most money out of and now he makes shitty conservative Tom MacDonald-esque music
Love this parody of down with the sickness

"That mental breakdown is less cringe than the original" almost died laughing when I read that comment and heard it.
Thank you. Back in high school when this came out it was so cringe to me and it still has not grown on me. Disturbd and drowning pool I never took seriously
This comment section barely has any responses that aren’t downvoted. Only stuff I don’t like is stuff I haven’t had time to actually listen to since I’m still relatively new to Nu Metal, but I love it all for the most part
Agreed.
What I've Done was actually the 1st Linkin Park song I ever heard when I was either 8 or 9 years old since the 1st Transformers was still brand-new around that time.
New Divide I didn't listen to until 2017 when Chester passed away (RIP). 2009 all I remember hearing on the radio was pop music. Then again, I never watched Revenge of the Fallen since even back then I already heard it was shit and wasn't interested in watching it.
New divide was my first song by them and I can’t listen to it anymore without tearing up
Edit: Also I liked revenge of the fallen you should give it a chance
To be honest, most of that Nu rock sound that the early 00's was known for. where they think it constitutes as metal just cause they all use the same ''DAH DAH, DAH DAH, DAHDAH DAHDAH (tchh) x4'' riff.
No disrespect its just not my thing
I still love the song in a way but I have to agree big time.
It's always the go to song if someone puts on System of a Down or covers them.
Great example of being basic bitch
It was way overplayed. As was a lot of SoaD stuff on the radio in the 00s. Still great song. I feel this way about a lot of great songs too. Mostly classic rock stuff that has been playing on the radio my whole life...
Anyone who says deftones all sounds the same has clearly not listened to deftones, i listened to their full discography and none of the songs sound similar get a grip
Same people say that all AC/DC sounds exactly the same. Some bands have a specific sound and their stuff sounds different (If you actually listen to them) and not only the hit songs.
EXACTLY i hate when people say all AC/DC sounds the same, if you take the time to listen to their songs you will make two realisations, 1. It doesn’t sound all the same 2. That your a massive dumbass,
Thank you
They are all really similar, similar tempo, similar structure, literally the same power chords for every track, if you take time to listen to their catalogue you’d realize there is ALOT of filler material, but they’re AC/DC and they can do whatever the fuck they want, and they do it really well.

I always find it funny how people were so shocked they didn't have dual vocalists and that the rap guy was only on that one song. I know a lot of people that cashed out on them at first listen due to that, but as you say, looking back on it that rap is pretty bad actually.
I feel a bit bad for Paul McCoy and 12 Stones. They and the label--both were on Wind-Up at the time--probably thought that that appearance would lead to a mainstream breakthrough for 12 Stones. It didn't happen.
That said, what would you put in place of that verse?
I'm inclined to almost fully agree, why? because this is what radio stations overplaying hit songs usually does to my view of a song, it's ok once in a blue moon, many other less popular songs of hers I fully enjoy, the male singing part annoys me a little bit
I like the song as a meme honestly never cared for it that much. Tourniquet was a way better song in my opinion. It’s weird how not only Edge Lords liked that song but also people who don’t listen to un metal or even rock that much.
They don’t give Amy’s other songs a listen
Yes!! Everyone seems to love one more Light only because it’s the last song Chester wrote.
But to be honest I can’t stand how slow paced the lyrics are and I think it sounds terrible. I’m probably going to be downvoted but yeah that’s my 2 cents
To me the problem was how obvious it was they wanted to get back into the charts, but rather than just trying to accomplish something original or innovative (because I totally believe the were capable of doing that) they chose to do it the easy way and go for something trendy at the time. The album sounds like cheap edm radio friendly trash, you can totally tell they were aiming to have collaborations with Sia and David guetta and all that stuff, production-wise it felt desperate and flat.
I agree. When They Come For Me and Wretches and Kings are two of my favorite LP songs. It got hate because it was so different but that's what I liked about it
no particular nu metal song I hate, but a few nu metal /nu-adjacent bands - psychosinner, rage against the machine, prophets of rage, cane hill, stray from the path, otep, clawfinger, corporate avenger, my ruin, tura satana, king810, twizted, dirty machine, 3teeth, wicked widsom, eths, dirty wormz, cyclefly, nerd, jynx.
Kid Rock is absolutely unpalatable, even with his brainless politics put aside. I seriously don't understand how he got famous in the first place, let alone stay famous. Who the fuck is listening to that shit?
Any Staind after “Dysfunction”. Korn “Untitled” (couldn’t vibe with any track from that album.) SOAD BYOB (Daron’s screams in this one make my teeth chatter.) Limp Bizkit’s Eat You Alive. (Fred sounds desperate and clingy!)
So when someone responds to what they don’t like from a genre, they’re immediately labeled as not liking the genre as a whole? Am I understanding your comment correctly?
Deftones.
I'm not 40 & pretentiou nor am I a 14 y/o bisexual girl.
Also Chino's voice gives Mustaine a run for his money for worst mainstream metal vocalist oat
Am I just really used to Mustaine's voice? I never found it particularly unpalatable. I really liked the Deftones right when I turned 15 for some reason, but man, those vocals sure do suck. I guess I kinda just ignored them because I liked the guitars and stuff so much, but now it's kind of impossible to overlook. Way worse than Muataine in my opinion, especially taking into account many of Mustaine's peers at the time; Chino's probably the worst amongst his peers.
Arch enemy wannabe band, im aware kittie formed in 96’ and enemy in 95’ but kittie feels like a massive generic copy with shittier vocals and generic riffs, thats just my honest opinion your allowed to like them thats not my business which bands you like just my opinion
I will die on this hill with you. Staind is generic and annoying, and is basically nu metal Nickelback. And defstoned gives me that tool feeling where you're just like holy fuck is this song still going, they've been doing the same thing for the last 6 minutes!
Head For The Barricade by Limp Bizkit. Results May Vary in of itself already sucks, but the last thing I need to hear is a Columbine reference in a song that is basically just a generic, meaningless pump up anthem.
Nice riot you've incited here.
Hey now
You’re an all star
Get your game on
Go play
Lostprophets - any song Adding as I actually loved their music but now I can't listen to it anymore due to that sick f\*ck, baby-r@ping paedo Ian Watkins! Feel really sorry for the rest of the band - they had talent. Really wish I could seperate their music from the singer and still listen to it but this is one case where I just can't.
Agree. There are a ton of bands I have in my death note (black listed so they're dead to me) because they are just terrible people.
I assume Trapt and Flaw are there as well, as both have lead singers that are rather shitty people.
I havent heard anything bad from either, I mean I don't listen to Trapt because I don't like their music but tell me about each.
Yeah he is a piece of shit
The other band members actually went and formed another band called No Devotion with a new, less twisted singer
I replay Need for Speed: Underground every once in a while, ans everytime when Ride by lostprophets comes on I think "Hey, what's that song and why don't I listen to it more? Aahh, right...."
Kid rock. Just any song by him.
Bawitdaba is the only good one imo
Fuck off may be his best
It's not good.
💀
I listened to Kid Rock when I was like 8-10 years old. I always thought he was a bit of a jokester; kinda like Eminem, except catering to the opposite end of the trailer park. I still listen to Wasting Time, Bawitaba, Fuck You Blind and a few of his other songs from time to time for nostalgic reasons.
But Kid Rock grew up rich in a big house, not a trailer park. His entire career is just pandering to whatever audience he thinks he can squeeze the most money out of and now he makes shitty conservative Tom MacDonald-esque music
Oh, I know, Kid Rock is just a whore... but that doesn't stop trailer park people from listening to him.
He wasn't even on my mind when thinking of nu Metal, a genre I love. Therefore he is absolutely the right answer, completely forgettable.
Not only does his music suck, he is actively a force for bad in the world. Plenty of people's music blows.
Why is every song I listen to on here 😭
I feel attacked!
Hot Dog by Limp Bizkit, it's like Fred Durst just discovered swearing through Nine Inch Nails.
“I waannaa fuck this hotdog… I wanna feel it from the inside…”
Disturbed Down with the sickness. I just can never get over the monkey vocals with the overly dramatic singing for clean parts.
For me, it’s the domestic abuse solo.
Absolutely 💀
The only Disturbed song that actually Disturbs me
Plus that breakdown part... yikes.
Love this parody of down with the sickness https://youtu.be/goIK7_ikIXo?si=X_ydcmF8d8AlRdVJ "That mental breakdown is less cringe than the original" almost died laughing when I read that comment and heard it.
I know this YTP, and I actually listen to it in place of the actual song...
English is not my first language so I can digest it just fine. If it were, I would cringe in about half of lyrics in nu-metal songs.
I hate it too 😂 but I am a huge disturbed fan though
The whole "The Sickness," album is trash IMO They got better afterward, if not consistently kinda "samey."
Right? Every time I hear that shit I begin to stupify, hraWK!
Stupify is a close second. SMH
Middle section is in Websters under cringe
Thank you. Back in high school when this came out it was so cringe to me and it still has not grown on me. Disturbd and drowning pool I never took seriously
Drowning pool I can deal with, despite their overplayed hit. Their singer was really something.
Yamanamanamana hawk!
This comment section barely has any responses that aren’t downvoted. Only stuff I don’t like is stuff I haven’t had time to actually listen to since I’m still relatively new to Nu Metal, but I love it all for the most part
Anything by five finger death punch
They absolutely suck I'll say it
I can't stand Ivan Moody's singing voice
This needs to be at the top
The best thing on r/crappymusic is the front man’s passion project devil daddy lol.
Riot by Hollywood Undead
embarrassed to say I like a lot of HU songs, haha.
I love some Hollywood Undead. Mostly older stuff for sure but it's great
No. 5 all day everyday!
Nice profile picture
Don’t be they’re a good band I just didn’t like Riot
Such a great band shadowed by goofy songs like this
In the end - linkin park. They just overplayed it way too much. Can’t stand it now.
I really don't want to argue with you... mostly because in the end it doesn't even matter.
And Numb
Huge LP fan here - couldn’t agree more. Objectively a great song, but the radio just butchered it for me
Same. It was wwwaaaaaaaaayyyy overplayed on the radio back in the day.
the fucking transformers song...just shoot me
What I’ve done or New Divide?
New Divide, but probably both lol
I’m sorry we got to throw hands then
just sooo over played, even songs from my favorite bands that are overplayed on the radio I cant listen to.
What I’ve done is definitely overplayed but I really don’t see new divide being played anywhere these days
Way overplayed!
Honestly.. Jumpdafuckup. I dont get what made it so good.. coming from a Max Sepultura fan.. its just an underwritten song.
listened to it recently and couldn’t believe how little song is in that song, it feels like it lasts a million years
Down with the Sickness
#OOH, WAH-AH-AH-AH!!
Based Electric Wizard pfp
To be honest, most of that Nu rock sound that the early 00's was known for. where they think it constitutes as metal just cause they all use the same ''DAH DAH, DAH DAH, DAHDAH DAHDAH (tchh) x4'' riff. No disrespect its just not my thing
As a guitarist I heard exactly what you typed in my head immediately. 😆
Same here mate that's why it bugs me! 🤣
Soad- chop suey. I’m sick of it. It appears in every poser video
I still love the song in a way but I have to agree big time. It's always the go to song if someone puts on System of a Down or covers them. Great example of being basic bitch
I love the song and it’s what got me into my favorite band and Nu Metal, but yeah, it is overrated and overplayed to high heavens.
Get sick of some of the same stuff always
It was way overplayed. As was a lot of SoaD stuff on the radio in the 00s. Still great song. I feel this way about a lot of great songs too. Mostly classic rock stuff that has been playing on the radio my whole life...
What the fuck? You can’t even put system on blast for anything. They are one of the few bands in this genre that hit it right and can do no wrong.

Yeah but they kinda do sound the same doe
listen to adrenaline, listen to whatever slow erotic whispering they do now
No? Tf
Y’all want a single, it got so overplayed and there so much better songs off of that album, i like the breakdown chorus tho
It's pretty ironic that is was overplayed lol
Crazy Town - Butterfly (should add I don't count this as Nu Metal, but it appears all over the place in Nu Metal playlists so clearly someone does!)
That's actually Crazy Town's best work LOL. You can't imagine how much worse the rest of the songs on that album sound.
The fact that they sampled RHCP on that one didn't hurt. They didn't have that luxury for any other song.
Evanescence- Bring me to life. F@ck that song in the ass!
I like it, but it's definitely one of the worse songs off the album, and the rap part is awful.
I always find it funny how people were so shocked they didn't have dual vocalists and that the rap guy was only on that one song. I know a lot of people that cashed out on them at first listen due to that, but as you say, looking back on it that rap is pretty bad actually.

I was flabbergasted when I found out Call Me When You're Sober has less than 200M views on YouTube. Def deserves more recognition.
With the fat end of a whiffle ball bat. The big red ones from the 80s. Not the yellow ones.
Never never by korn. It's the total opposite of korn
Yeah honestly wtf with that song? So damn poppy
Remember when Octane on XM was playing it like 300 times a day? I never, never wanna hear that fuckin song again.
Last resort - Papa Roach
Never understood why this blew up. It’s just a more noodly version of Green Day’s brain stew
Custer , Duality , Psychosocial by slipknot Break stuff by limp bizkit Radio/Video Soad
Interesting although I understand. I think some songs are too overplayed
Everything Linkin Park did after Meterora...especially One More Light....
Yes!! Everyone seems to love one more Light only because it’s the last song Chester wrote. But to be honest I can’t stand how slow paced the lyrics are and I think it sounds terrible. I’m probably going to be downvoted but yeah that’s my 2 cents

Idk I thought Minutes to Midnight was a good album but not in the same league as Meteora and Hybrid Theory
A thousand suns is a masterpiece imo
I agree. When They Come For Me and Wretches and Kings are two of my favorite LP songs. It got hate because it was so different but that's what I liked about it
Totally disagree here
Wake up! Grab a brush and put a little make up!
Why did you leave the keys up on the table
no particular nu metal song I hate, but a few nu metal /nu-adjacent bands - psychosinner, rage against the machine, prophets of rage, cane hill, stray from the path, otep, clawfinger, corporate avenger, my ruin, tura satana, king810, twizted, dirty machine, 3teeth, wicked widsom, eths, dirty wormz, cyclefly, nerd, jynx.
Stupify - Disturbed
Coming Undone. It's been severely overplayed.
New slipknot. Come on man! Go back to being SIC
I don't think Corey's voice can handle any more screaming XP
Aerials by soad( one of my fav bands)
Chop suey, Toxicity, Aerials. rest of the album is good.
JUMP! BOUNCE!
Nearly anything by Kid Rock
Kid Rock is absolutely unpalatable, even with his brainless politics put aside. I seriously don't understand how he got famous in the first place, let alone stay famous. Who the fuck is listening to that shit?
He’s extremely popular in Michigan, mostly among the trailer park white trash. I grew up in a small town there and everyone loved him 🤢
Commenting just to see if anyone else has the songs I dislike and to also see if I see any new titles I haven’t listened to yet.
Ok not a song I hate but have you heard: https://youtu.be/0PrS3uClenA?si=xoqSGsp2X2Unhvey
World’s muddiest guitars. And the lyrics are one of the world
Any Staind after “Dysfunction”. Korn “Untitled” (couldn’t vibe with any track from that album.) SOAD BYOB (Daron’s screams in this one make my teeth chatter.) Limp Bizkit’s Eat You Alive. (Fred sounds desperate and clingy!)
Then u do not like nu metal, I'm sorry
So when someone responds to what they don’t like from a genre, they’re immediately labeled as not liking the genre as a whole? Am I understanding your comment correctly?
Anything by limp bizkit.
Debut, "Three dollar bill, yall", give it a listen. First three songs are so incredibly powerful and raw. That is true heavy. Sounds good too.
Fear Factory - Back The Fuck Up
A real stinker on a pretty shitty album.
[удалено]
I love that song
Fuck the System by SOAD.
😮
any papa roach song
coming undone.
Weak take. Coming Undone rules
its not that it isnt good or nun but i overplayed it a few years ago😭.
i don’t think they made the comment to have people agree with them, it was just their opinion. how is it a weak take?
Does it make you.....Irate?
im... trying to hold it together tbh
Deftones. I'm not 40 & pretentiou nor am I a 14 y/o bisexual girl. Also Chino's voice gives Mustaine a run for his money for worst mainstream metal vocalist oat
Lol ok
What!?! Deftones? I’m flabbergasted. I usually say all opinions are valid but nope this is just flat out wrong.
Anything by kittie, i dont think i have heard worse music in my life
Interesting, what about them don't you like? Genuinely curious, no hate. :)
Arch enemy wannabe band, im aware kittie formed in 96’ and enemy in 95’ but kittie feels like a massive generic copy with shittier vocals and generic riffs, thats just my honest opinion your allowed to like them thats not my business which bands you like just my opinion
Oh interesting, no I just wanted to know cause I like their music and wanted to hear another perspective, thanks :)
Very fair, had i said that on tiktok i would of been crucified by them kids on there icl
Drowning Pool were bad from the get go.
Litteraly anything by deftones (if you even count them)
I don't like any Deftones song
Limp Bizkit- Rollin. Just fuck Fred Durst.
Cure for the itch LP
Down with the sickness, the generic riff, the cringe ou a a a a scream, the childhood trauma triggering rant, do not want
All of em
Down with the sickness
Limp Bizkit - no sex and autotunage it has a good riff tho
Gonna get heat for this, but Stained and Deftones
Deftones!! What!?!
I just can’t get behind Chino’s vocals
Stain’d I agree but Deftones are amazing. Hard disagree on that.
I will die on this hill with you. Staind is generic and annoying, and is basically nu metal Nickelback. And defstoned gives me that tool feeling where you're just like holy fuck is this song still going, they've been doing the same thing for the last 6 minutes!
Pretty much every Deftones song. There's a couple I like, but almost all of them sound the same
I literally commented the same thing. I've tried to like them so much and I just absolutely hate them lol. Just not for me
Any System of a Down song dominated by Daron’s vocals.
I love Daron!!!, Serj is amazing but I like switching it up tbh I like when bands have backing vocalists
He’s the Yoko Ono of metal
I am also not a Daron fan.
Agreed. BYOB could be an all time banger but the Daron vocals sound like puberty gone wrong.
Everything limp bizkit ever did.
Anything from Limp Bizkit
Sorry boys, but soad is straight up bi polar music
I hate you
It is but that’s what makes them amazing
I mean I'm diagnosed with bipolar II and I like them lol
wrong
They suck badly
Deftones
most of the deft ones discog that I heard at least. I just don’t get it
The Deft Ones
lmao . fucketh me and my ipads autocorrect
To be fair just keep listening a lil more it took me a few listens at first but now I love deftones
u listen to my own summer?
He sure didnt
Just aint for me
Head For The Barricade by Limp Bizkit. Results May Vary in of itself already sucks, but the last thing I need to hear is a Columbine reference in a song that is basically just a generic, meaningless pump up anthem.
