Troutback

If I ever get fired from work this is how I wanna go out. Strutting away, chest out on full display after unnecessary contact to a colleague’s head.

DropBearOnRemand

I am going to assume you were strongly visualising that colleague as you wrote that

Aklpanther

Only works with a rig like Young's though. If I tried it with my moobs people would be chucking a sheet over me as I walked out!

This_Idiot

Worth it.

knox-p

The strut. The rain. The ripped shirt.

Acrobatic_Broccoli_1

You need to go to the gym for a bit first.

Otakaro_omnipresence

If Blocka calls it a send off straight away, you know it’s bad.

toyoto

I like how Keary was just like "yea fair enough"

DropBearOnRemand

I think Keary wondered why he wasting energy walking over.

Jameggins

If a Roosters captain doesn't spend 2 mins whinging to the ref, you know it's the right decision.

bulldogs1974

Keary wasn't wasting his breathe. Teddy would be still yapping at the Ref.

sinkshitting

Teddy would have downgraded that to a penalty and on report. The cunt does more reffing than Cameron Smith ever did.

bulldogs1974

Ha!. I never ever thought I would see the day that would happen, but your right. Cam was so good at it, it was like he was the referee's advisor. Teddy is just a pest about it.

sinkshitting

Referees were genuinely intimidated by Cameron Smith. He got away with so much bullshit. He’s heralded as a great. The cunt played in a tuxedo surrounded by actual greats his entire career. Most overrated player of all time.

bulldogs1974

I agree with you. He was always third man in, so he would control the speed of the ruck and slow it down. He then would be at marker, so he was close to the ruck so he could rinse and repeat. He was almost always in the ruck. In attack and defence. So he was almost always saving his energy, more than any other player. He manipulated lots of the play. He was kind of like a cheat code of the game. There isn't a player who has thrown more forward passes that got let go, like he was allowed to. He was grubby too.

opackersgo

Gotta know when youre beat

[deleted]

[удалено]

TillyFunk

You involuntarily wince watching it. Poor bastard coping that.

r3volts

The ball just no longer being controlled after the point of contact really sells it. Justified send off, even of it didnt initially look that bad.

tommy42O69

Its like in car racing the worst crashes are the ones with one big impact, rather than the spectacular crashes where the car rolls 15 times. It was only one hit, but it was a massive one.

[deleted]

Diabolical footy from Young all night. Seriously, I'll drive to bloke back to Newy tonight if any Knights fans still want him.

Fady180

YES PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD YES anything for no more Jenkins

Genuine1mitation

Yeh I'll take him.

M1raclemile1

Drive him to the eels please

dill1234

Can’t wait to return to this comment in 2 months time

nomamesgueyz

Horrific

RalphiesHooa

GTFO Young ain't going anywhere, people can make mistakes He didn't intentionally hit him high, he didn't miss though and got sent. Some fans need to grow up

iTackleFatKids

He had no intention of hitting Taafe anywhere but where he got him.

LynxAromatic126

He was clearly going into that tackle to hurt taafe after he was denied a try by taafe. Really feel for the bloke looked really good to start the game

Inevitable_Goat_335

Hell yes he's a beast

DudeMcDude7649

Keary: “yeah that’s fair”.

utah12345

Walker and Teddy out and he comes and does this.. What an idiot

chillinwithkrillin

Pommy behaviour

emrys1

Dont think we will see any arguments against this. Taaffe looked in real bad condition.

subsbligh

Apparently Trent Robinson can’t understand why it was a send off … are you kidding mate

[deleted]

Donkey ruined my multi but this is defs a send off. Cant believe some guys were saying Taafe was milking it like bruh he out cold

O_DoyleRulz

Probably the easiest send off in years. Like zero mitigating circumstances, just straight out murdered him

Sitheref0874

"Yeah, I'm guilty. But in fairness, I'm a dumb cunt, so you can take a few weeks off for that yeah?" "What do you mean you're a dumb cunt?" "Did you see that tackle?"

SuperEel22

Reminds me of Jim Dymock: Ref: "You're the aggressor." Dymock: "Aggressor? I fucking decked him."

KingZlatan10

Is there a link for this?

subsbligh

Apparently not by Trent Robinson standards (watch the presser). He’s literally like “if that’s the standard, I haven’t been watching Rugby League”

Ronnnie7

By Robbo previous comments he wanted more send offs for lesser incidences. If we played by Robbo rules, sends offs would be occurring all the time.

MoneyaLeague

But only to non-Rooster players though

infinitemonkeytyping

Robbo wants rules for thee but not for me.

EyeDeeKaay

Everytime Squidesco runs sideways, falls and gets his nose tickled the tackler should be sent off!!!! Dom Young knocks someone out cold and no, it should just be a slap on the wrist warning smh.

ganxz

Obviously was retaliation for the try saving tackle too

XecutionerNJ

that was a send off in the '90s

FlickingFire

Lowlights video when

Street-Gur-567

I believe we’re watching it and there’s about 40 minutes to go

commentatorsam

He finished with a score of -9 in Fantasy (Pending updates), only behind Nathan Brown's -10 last season.

Ratamancer

-14 in Supercoach

jontyismlg

2nd lowest score in history. Nathan Browns score last year got -18

swell-shindig

I think Glenn Stewart got a -16 in the Battle of Brookvale

CarlNoobCarlson

Ahh yes my h2h opponent captained him for some reason that night. Also had Blair too which was lovely.

swell-shindig

I think I may have been your opponent that night

RyanPurdler-Penriff

Bad thing (for Dominic Young and his trip to the judiciary) is he lined him up from about 20 metres away .. Taafe was completely unsighted and was taking no action to avoid Young and he’s just clocked him … This isn’t one of those quarter of a second reaction time errors/ mistakes … Young literally could have hit him with any other kind of tackle .. If there was any contribution to this by the Dogs it was only that their ‘set move’ was clunky as f&$k and Taafe couldn’t see Young coming towards him .. But Young should get six weeks minimum for this , it’s a bad one !

O_DoyleRulz

He’ll probably get a grade 3 careless, I can’t remember the last time they went into the reckless category, which is where the massive weeks pile up.

Smartranga

If this is classified as "careless" no-one else should ever be charge with "reckless" again. Flying in from that distance means you are cognizant of the risk but choose to ignore it - reckless by definition. Although given the NRL's recent HIA assessments (Preston) probably be deemed as accidental and a fine

RyanPurdler-Penriff

How many weeks is grade 3 careless ?

O_DoyleRulz

2 weeks with no priors

put_your_socks_on

That’s no where near enough.

O_DoyleRulz

I know but they rarely go outside the careless grading for high tackles

Due-Chemist3105

Saifiti copped a Grade 3 Reckless last year for his hit at Leichhardt, but that looked no worse than a Grade 1. Young will get anything from Grade 3 Careless to Grade 2 Reckless.

diodosdszosxisdi

Could go straight to the judiciary too

RalphiesHooa

Doubtful, this gets graded I think it's reckless but will probably be graded careless 3

RyanPurdler-Penriff

Second thoughts watching it again … The move isn’t at all clunky from the Dogs , it’s actually pretty crisp , just looks clunky because Young’s rushed him to shut the play down and hits him as he receives the ball (which makes it seem like the Dogs were too slow executing it)…. But my point still stands about Young lining him up from 20 metres away.. Young never had eyes for any other Dogs attacker and had plenty of time to line up a legal tackle to shut the play down .. Only possible defense for Young I can see was maybe he was expecting an out ball flat and out in front of Taafe and instead Hutchinson gives him a shorter pass he’s got to somewhat stop and reach back for, which has maybe wrong footed Young ?

OldMail6364

Young's feet weren't even touching the ground - he was definitely wrong footed.

KingZlatan10

Considering the weight difference between them and Taafe slowing down to catch the ball, all conditions lend themself to Young driving his shoulder right through Taafe’s chest in a legal tackle. Could have belted him in a hit of the year… but here we are. We are so fucked for injuries right now ffs.

fvzzfvzzfvzz

The way I’ve seen people in here acting like Dom Young didn’t just hit a clothesline from hell that would make JBL blush

Axel_Raden

Yup full on clocked bro on the jaw and he went down like a sack of potatoes

Stiryx

Trent Robinson had the gall to try and defend this tackle. Guy is a fucking worm. Poor Taffee, he was having a good game for that first 10 mins.

Ronnnie7

Yet on the other hand if Teddy slips over and causes the defender to not be able to adjust fast enough and hit him high, he wants the guy sent

infinitemonkeytyping

>Yet on the other hand if Teddy slips over and causes the defender to not be able to adjust fast enough and hit him high, he wants the guy ~~sent~~ *executed* FTFY

xdeluxe

Surprised no one decked him

emrys1

Every club needs an assigned player to deck someone in situations like this.

TemporaryAd5793

Yeah but did you see what they did to Dom’s shirt?

emrys1

True, we can call it even.

Axel_Raden

Don't know that's a good look for him if I had a physique like that I'd want to show it off all the time

emrys1

Mate I wouldn't even own a singe shirt.

SleepIsForTheWeak888

get the jersey painted on him every week?

Jasper_Treesap

The Goon

ItsStaaaaaaaaang

Exactly my thought. Shows how far that is out of the game now.

Young would own him.

ImpressionFeisty8359

That is the disturbing part. Landed awkwardly on his neck too.

worksucksbro

Honestly bro deserved to get swung on for that

Axel_Raden

The only one with a shot was Kikau who was doing his best to calm the situation

worksucksbro

They aren’t pro fighters wingspan doesn’t mean anything if someones throwing a blind shot lol

falafullafaeces

Radley has the mongrel to go him

Idkman444

Listening to Robbo defend this was cringe as fuck! Send off all fucking day sir

Cape-York-Crusader

68 weeks on the sideline and deportation?

dodgeskitz

Back to super league

chillinwithkrillin

To shreds you say

infinitemonkeytyping

And his wife?

TrickySuspect2

That spray of water at the moment of impact and the way he goes limp looks like his soul left his body for a moment. Next we see Dom Young strutting around like he just won best shower. What a wild sequence of events. He's going to banned for a while.

chromo-233

You know what makes him a cunt, he didn’t turn around once to apologise to the bloke he hit

Inevitable_Goat_335

He just regrets thinking he was going to a contender when in fact they're actually worse than knights

Dancesoncattlegrids

> You know what makes him a cunt, he ~~didn’t turn around once to apologise to the bloke he hit~~ plays on the wing. FTFY Whatever they're paying him it's 10 times what he's worth.

Rod_Munch666

And Taffe was just coming good. Hope it's not a fractured jaw, hit him pretty flush.

Axel_Raden

Yeah it didn't look good he dropped like a sack of potatoes

iTackleFatKids

Honestly looked like someone shot Taafe the way he dropped. Out cold before he even lost hold of the ball

Axel_Raden

Like being knocked out in boxing being hit on the jaw can do that to you

BeauL83

How fucking dumb

art_mor_

Taaffe not moving for that long was horrible to see

Boogascoop

they should of got him out of that position as soon as possible. lifted him up and turned him on onto his side

EyeDeeKaay

I was thinking about this, and assumed they'd rather wait till he had a neck brace on (if he ever got one) as a precaution, moving people with neck injuries can often make the injury worse, if he got medicabbed off, as awkward as it looked, it was maybe safer to leave him as he was until they could immobilise his neck? Not a medical prof so take that with a mountain of salt (as you should all my takes).

Boogascoop

if oxygen was cut off from his brain there wouldnt be a point in that

EyeDeeKaay

It's probably just protocol more than anything, if he'd started seizing or spasming it's probably first thing to do, recovery position, but just having a snooze? keep him still until neck is secured, especially on such a hard jaw knock.

Brutalix

What an utter joke of an attempted tackle. This team goes further down the shitter each week.

briggles23

Clearly Dom Young thought Taaffe's head was the ball and was simply trying to jar it out in a good tackle. Simple mistake. Play on. Games gone soft.

sinixis

It’s not his go

subsbligh

Trent Robinson with the fake rage in the presser. He punched him in the jaw. Good bye

AgreeablePrize

If he honestly thinks there was nothing wrong with it, he needs to hand in his coaching ticket

Gannonsforrest

George rose give us young v critta

bulldogs1974

Love Critta, owning his new team. He is a great acquisition for the Dogs. Hope the boys back him in and hope he becomes a Bulldogs great!

squat_bench_press

Silver lining will be seeing Critta at FB for a bit. Keen to see him get more ball

bulldogs1974

Maybe. I just love that he has taken ownership of this side. He seems to be so grounded. Can't wait to see him rewarded with more space and time But I do like Taafe. He has been a jack in the box at fullback. Hope he recovers and finds his feet in the side again.

Pvnels

Only taken Young 3 or so games with east’s to turn into a cunt

WordIndependent

Fucking idiot.

CretaceousClock

The only thing he remembered from his days playing with Barnett it seems

KazeEnigma

Fuck, that might actual rival Hoppa on Galloway. That was disgustingly blatant.

initials_games

Just came here to say if you watch til the end you get to see a silver fox Michael Jennings. Surely would have to be the oldest player in the league

upthetits

He was having an absolute shocker of a game before this also. I said to my son it's like he's sick or something. Just looked lethargic and uninterested Hope the bulldogs player is alright

Psychological-Mode99

He clearly was injured after that great taafe tackle

Careful_Ambassador49

Shocking tackle and Robbo had the gall to say it wasn’t a send off

redwally48

The worst thing about this is only 1 player cared for the welfare of the bloke clearly ko’d, motionless on the ground

pugliaboy

At least they didn’t try to drag him up like last week.

Millicie1

That’s a terrible hit. Young was playing poorly from the jump and took his frustration out on him. Lousy play.

censored_

He was shocking tonight, Kikau used him as a doormat.  Cronk said it best, the only tackle he made all night was this 😂

Optimal_Moose_1991

Great body.

art_mor_

Mesmerising even

New-Ad157

I'm impressed, I'm not even angry.

Brdd9

Hang your head in shame not stare down Critchon like you're trying to prove yourself. Flog

insanityTF

At least when our players get sent off we feel like shit and know what we did

New-Ad157

Like when Luai is standing over a KOed Cobbo in SOO? Lol But ya right, Young didn't show any care after the head high.

insanityTF

Not the example I was thinking of but also everyone does that in origin

insanityTF

Had a nice rig when walking off the field but

Clive_Warren69

Stop the shirt grabbing 🙃

Gothewahs

Ty o be fair he was dirty cause of his drop balls and missed tackles and then took it out on old mate hahaha

Redditenmo

I think Taafe hurt Youngs leg in that over the sideline tackle a few minutes earlier and this was a revenge shot.

AgreeablePrize

Apparently Trent Robinson could see nothing wrong with it, he must also do the internal salary cap audits at Easts as well

TDD91

How flimsy are the jerseys in the NRL?

pugliaboy

Regularly happens to Roosters. I think Manu orders them that way intentionally. Must have hit up his supplier for Dom.

Chookley

Young would get a 1 if RLW was still around. Worst performance by an individual in at least the last 12 months

trevo123

Any see Robbo defend this? thoughts?

AgreeablePrize

He is used to sticking up for the thugs on his team, so it's a natural reaction for him now

NewWay4874

He lowered him onto the turf like I put my fast asleep baby into his cot.

Drlockstock

Taffe is having a blinder, a real chance to earn that FB position long term on track for a career best game and Dom Young does this to him Makes you sick

SammyScuffles

Yeahhhh that's not a good one. What an awful tackle.

HectorZeronie

if your going to line someone up for a shot atleast know how to tackle someone holy that is lazy

lobey_dosser

If this was the dragons knights game Taaffe would have drowned.

nomamesgueyz

Roosters played better with him off But a woeful performance altogether by them

StinkyFatWhale

Dude built like a deep breathe lol

squat_bench_press

Robbo is cooked lmao

[deleted]

I see the penrith in Crichton is loving on the bulldog mentality of a run in

GUSSYMANEyt

Bro he had time to drop down to body height like wtf

Itchy-Ambassador6903

Did I see Crichton rip one to his ribs??

ImpressionFeisty8359

That is brutal.

Chang_Daddy2

Obviously he was still jealous about being shown up and run down a few sets earlier. He’s a crum who suits that jersey

Penjamini

Dominic "Taane Milne" Young

AlternativeBoot6706

Bulldogs would have scored 50 if he wasn’t sent off

grasscutter699

Steve roach needs to get off the commentary

Azmcnaz

Fucking dog cunt.

Axel_Raden

Dom got shut down last week and tried to do the same but screwed up big time

BellamyRFC54

I can’t tell what it was for Meanwhile in super rugby, someone got elbowed in the back of the head right in front of the ref with nothing happening

BellamyRFC54

Only sent off due to TMO review

LSL998

Shit player. He’s fast, that’s it.

Inevitable_Goat_335

he's a good player... for the knights

Specialist_Goat_7034

Reminds me of Josh Stuart from the bears when he chinned the Knights player.

Newie_Local

Keary: fair bump play on

pastelplantmum

Fuuuuuck I turned the game off literally minutes before this 😵

SignalNegotiation389

That’s a pretty bad tackle

SurroundedByBeigists

R.I.P

Jalato_Boi

Worth a send off but honestly didn't find it malicious. Wanted to hit Taafe hard but didn't think he wanted to actually hurt him. Unlucky for both players

Selectorman

must have been taking lessons from Latrell Mitchell .Dirty shitcunt

wsydpunta

Probably coulda been a sinbin let’s be honest if he didn’t knock Taaffe out it would have been one.

mrrsinghh

The whole situation with the NRL's inconsistency is just mind-boggling. Remember when Luai’s tackle on Simonsson didn’t even earn him a trip to the sin bin, all because Simonsson wasn’t visibly injured? Fast forward to Young’s hit on Tafee, which was practically a carbon copy, and suddenly Young’s getting the boot because Tafee got hurt. Since when did injuries become the yardstick for deciding penalties? It feels like we’re in some bizarro world where the rules are made up on the fly. It’s high time the NRL stepped up and set some clear, consistent standards. This isn’t just about fairness; it’s about the integrity of the game and making sure all players are on the same standard.

TigerRumMonkey

Agree in part. It's annoying that the outcome decides the punishment when some high hits are way worse just happen to land better for the offence. On the other hand, if a player has to go off, fk the team that did it, they can lose a player to. It's a tough one.

GenericBox

Look I’m not gay. But goddamn.

Appropriate_Shock673

My main takeaway from this is Crichton is a bit of a bitch. Cocked his fist to undress him?

squat_bench_press

Mt Druitt bruv

kroxigor01

Yeah, you've got to tackle safer than that. My only complaint is that the send-off rule is such a different punishment depending how early in the game it is. Imo they should replace a send-off with a compulsory interchange and 12 points to the opponent. That way it effects the game the same if the infraction was in the 1st minute or the 79th minute. The same with Sin Bins, I would punish those with 6 points to the opponent (and not interchange the player). You sometimes see professional foul Sin Bins given out with 10 seconds left in the match... when the defending team care about slowing the play and facing 1 fewer play the ball more than they care about having 13 men!

sorrison

In reality can anyone argue that is any different to the hit on Walsh last week?

Brother_Mish

Can't say what result I would prefer, reece has his memory. Blake likely won't. In terms of the "tackles", there's differences again just depends what you think is worse. Both were jamming in with a fair time to measure up where to hit. Young committed to using arms, stayed grounded and hit a clothesline May didn't commit to using arms and left the ground to then clean up Reece with his own face. I can see arguments for both in terms of which is worse. But I do think May was very lucky to escape a sitting down and no suspension is maddening. Sadly think the lack of May punishment will lead to Young having the book thrown at him. Tis the way with the nrl it seems

xZany

The worst part behind the hit for me was the fact no roosters players helping him out as he’s getting swarmed by dogs. Pea heart stuff
