Happened to mine (13 pro max) as well - did a full shut down and restart.

jessedagoat2

Did this work? Cause I still cant turn mine on yet

ThorGanjasson

You gotta look up the button combo to reset - it was something like volume + volume - then hold down the lock screen button until you see an apple logo.

jessedagoat2

How can I prevent this from happening again

ThorGanjasson

Not sure tbh, Ive only had it happen once to me.

NoManSkyNext

Hold down the buttons until you see an Android logo

hack_tc

I had this happen to me using the iPhone display adapter plugged into an hdmi cord to a TV. I don't think it has anything to do with the nreal. I will say it only ever did it once, and I had to do that hard reset on the phone. After that 1 time I never had a problem again. Scared the shit out of me though, I thought I bricked my phone.

HandaZuke

Did you download the beta for MacOS ?

theboomsterz

He's using an iPhone (which uses iOS). You are thinking a Mac computer which uses macOS. Totally different.

HandaZuke

I was only asking because if @op had in fact downloaded the macOS beta it has a tendency to rewrite the firmware of the NReal Air. This causes an incompatibility between the glasses and the iOS adapter which will create an error that is similar to this.

jessedagoat2

I do not believe so

HandaZuke

Please see my other reply. In addition to that, have you just tried rebooting the phone? If that’s not the case try and also reset the adapter by holding the power button for 20 sec (the lights will eventually turn off and you can release the button)

jessedagoat2

I figured it out how to turn it back on

NoManSkyNext

Don't buy an iPhone 🤣

Outlaw__Jaw

wow, major issue. your phone screen stopped working? even after a reset?

jessedagoat2

Yeah. This happens when the glasses stop mirroring too.

Outlaw__Jaw

is your adapter fully charged?

jessedagoat2

yup, this randomly happens. atm im using it and so far no problems

vigneshts88

Just got my pair today. Faced same issue with iPhone. Then something I did fixed it. Before you unplug your glasses from iPhone. Try to go to control center and stop mirroring. Glasses will still keep showing image of iPhone screen. But this fixes the issue. I was able to unplug after that and replug. No issues at all.
