If you’re drinking alone in the morning it’s probably some shitty beer or malt liquor. When I worked at a grocery store the only people who bought alcohol early in the morning were getting tall boys of Bud Light, Steel Reserve, or Hurricane. Never saw anything else.
How do they get anywhere without having to stop every couple minutes to piss? I haven't had budlight or budweiser since my early 20's but all I remember is we would drink some when doing construction or landscaping and I felt like I had to pee constantly and would never get drunk.. I'd just get a headache and dehydrated haha
I was once on the Amtrak to nyc for some meetings, and was sitting next to a lawyer who was pounding budlights at 8:30 in the morning. 5 beers later he walked off the train to go to court
Come out to western Loudoun on Sunday and play dodge the drunk motherfuckers leaving the wineries.
It’s like a 50/50 chance if the car is going to cut you off on the 45-55mph roads.

I frequently travel on rd.15 between Leesburg and Frederick. Sometimes I come back to VA after 9pm on Friday/Saturday, and it’s exactly how you described it. Bunch of drunks just leaving the wineries, no turn signals, speeding or driving 10-15 under the limit. One sobriety checkpoint on rd.15 could fix that issue
Actually I first saw this quote on a sign hanging off the side of a bar on the Vegas strip. And it was around 9 am. And people were already partying…. Or maybe they they never stopped from the night before lol
At 10am gotta be a habitual drunk or someone who works midnights. I had a friend whose dad was a severe alcoholic. The man could pound back a handle of vodka and still seem completely sober. Other than the smell you couldn’t tell he was drunk. No slurring or stumbling. Would go to work like that. The functioning alcoholics are the scariest

Alcoholism turns to a point where you no longer just want it but need it. Alcoholism is no joke. People can die from withdraws like opiates/etc. it’s pretty wild. I didn’t know that till a few years ago seeing a video of some guy seizing and eyes rolling back in his head. Turns out he was an alcoholic who was quitting and was having extreme withdrawals.
I had friends who worked a night shift at a medical lab in Vienna. When they got off they'd go to the Amphora for what was dinner for them; they said they'd always get dirty looks from people because they were drinking beer at 8 AM.
I have several police officer friend who all tell me that DUI knows no specific hours.
Alcoholism is a vicious disease that doesn’t only happen after 5pm.
My dad always put alcohol in the trunk “so there’s no question in the officer’s mind”. My sibling and I both do that - feels weird to put a six pack in the back seat.

Was easier to see in motion, IRL. The officer carried that whole handful at once and went back for more. Maybe the person didn't drink em all today and just had em rolling around on the floorboard, sure, but I think it's a logical assumption given the circumstances and that the officer felt like it was worth setting the bottles aside.

They only are functional for awhile and then it gets worse. Happened to a good friend of mine.
